	<p>
		<strong>General Guidelines for this thread:</strong>
	</p>

	<p>
		- Here we encourage the posting of Match Video links and even Combo Videos. Feel free to analyse videos of low or high levelled players and talk about what you feel is notable, like what the Rachel may have done right or wrong, what did you learn from watching the video in question. Break it down and describe your thoughts.<br><br>
		- The purpose of the above is to learn how we take information from these videos and implement our shared findings into our own game through discussion. <strong>Here is an example to give you an idea of Video Analysis</strong>: InsterLinkHere (Need CF Videos)
	</p>

	<p>
		- When Posting Video Links please be sure to mention <strong>player names</strong> as well as the <strong>characters they play</strong>, the <strong>date</strong> of the video and for the link itself, <strong>the point where the match starts</strong>:
	</p>

	<p>
		If you are posting a link that is a Netplay (Online PSN/XBL) match, just add a star/asterisk  " * " next to the date like this *[MM/DD/YY].
	</p>

	<p>
		- Videos can also be found and watched on NicoNico Douga itself.<br>
		To watch these videos you can use the Nico Re-director link here: <a href="http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html" rel="external nofollow">http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html</a> <br>

	<em>Head of the infamous Alucard vampire family, Rachel has spent countless years watching as the world repeated the same 100 years over and over. However, the world has finally broken free of the bonds that held it for so long, and Rachel is determined to put an end to Terumi with her own hands.</em>

<p>
	In the BlazBlue universe, Rachel is an extremely powerful individual, controlling wind and lightning. While she will rarely directly interfere with the events that surround Kagutsuchi, her primary goal is as an observer, and gently (or less so) nudges the pieces into their places. She has several servants under her command; Nago, a cat familiar, and Gii, a bat familiar, which serve as her weapons, furniture, and anger relief. Her butler, Valkenhayn R. Hellsing, is also notable for being a werewolf, as well as one of the Six Heroes.

		Rachel is a very unique character who specializes in keeping her opponent at a distance with a variety of projectiles and traps that make it difficult for opponents to approach her safely. She is also extremely effective at keeping the opponent in the corner, and has very intimidating corner mix-up. Her Drive, Sylpheed, makes her one of the most mobile characters in the game.<br><br>
		On the flip side, Rachel has very few ways to escape pressure, a very fat OTG hitbox, and most of her normals have fairly short range. She is definitely not a beginner level character and her play style may prove difficult to learn for people new to fighting games.<br><br>
		However, her unique play style and charm cannot be found anywhere else in BlazBlue. With a little patience and perseverance, she can be one of the most exciting and fun characters to play.<br><br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Move List</strong></span><br><br><strong>Sylpheed</strong>: Any Direction+<img alt=":dbt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_dbutton.gif"><br>
		Rachel's Drive summons a gust of wind that pushes in the direction pressed. Wind is held in the Sylpheed Gauge above Rachel's heat bar. There are 4 Wind Stocks; using her Drive will consume 1 stock. Consumed wind will regenerate slowly while Rachel is on the ground.<br><br>
		This wind does a variety of things:
		<ul><li>
				Affects Rachel's movement greatly.
			</li>
			<li>
				Affects opponent's movement slightly.
			</li>
			<li>
				Affects the movement of Tiny Lobelia, Impish Gypsophilia, and George the XIII.
			</li>
		</ul><p>

		</p>

		<p>
			You can use the wind at any time that Rachel is not being hit or blocking.

			Rachel launches a seed projectile, which will turn into a rod upon hitting the ground/opponent. The trajectory depends on the button pressed; A fires the lowest, B fires somewhat upwards, C fires even higher. In the air, this is reversed; A fires the highest, and C fires the lowest.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			A maximum of 3 rods can be placed at once, with the oldest disappearing if more are placed.
		</p>

		<p>

		<p>
			<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Sword Iris</span> - <img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":db:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_db.gif"><img alt=":b:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_b.gif">+<img alt=":cbt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_cbutton.gif"> (can be used mid-air)

		<p>
			The rods placed by Tiny Lobelia are struck by lightning, damaging the opponent and shocking them on hit. Extends to the entire height of the screen. Seeds that have hit the opponent but not turned into visual rods yet will also be struck.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Impish Gypsophilia</span> - <img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":db:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_db.gif"><img alt=":b:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_b.gif">+<img alt=":bbt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_bbutton.gif"> (can be used mid-air)

		<p>
			Summons a flying pumpkin in front of Rachel. The pumpkin is inactive until pushed by Sylpheed, at which point it becomes a flying projectile that will hit the opponent. Will disappear after it's hit the opponent 3 times, if Rachel blocks or takes a hit, or after 3 seconds have passed without being winded.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			This is used mostly to approach the opponent safely or pressure them at a distance, usually in conjunction with George. In CS2, pumpkin travels much faster and farther.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<span style="text-decoration: underline;">George the XIII</span> - <img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":db:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_db.gif"><img alt=":b:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_b.gif">+<img alt=":abt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_abutton.gif"> (can be used mid-air)
		</p>

		<p>
			Summons a frog in front of Rachel. George will slowly crawl towards the direction of the opponent, and can be pushed towards the enemy with Sylpheed. Upon contact, George will start shocking the opponent (8 hits total). George will disappear if Rachel is hit by an attack, if it takes 700+ damage, or after 9 seconds have passed. If George becomes active, when he disappears Rachel must wait 2 seconds before she can summon George again (indicated by a Frog gauge that appears).
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			George is one of Rachel's most important tools. An opponent blocking or getting hit by George is one ripe for mix-up/combos. On the defensive, if George is active, Rachel can wind him towards her to escape block strings and punish overzealous opponents. He's also great to throw out after a knockdown, and contributes heavily to Rachel's corner game.
		</p>

			A bigger, badder, stronger version of Sword Iris. In addition to striking all Lobelia rods, lightning also surrounds Rachel, essentially turning herself into one.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			Corner combos in CP often involve setting up multiple rods before comboing the opponent into a Baden Baden Lily for large amounts of damage.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Tempest Dahlia</span> - <img alt=":f:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_f.gif"><img alt=":df:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_df.gif"><img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":db:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_db.gif"><img alt=":b:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_b.gif"><img alt=":f:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_f.gif">+<img alt=":bbt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_bbutton.gif"> (can be used mid-air)
		</p>

		<p>
			On use, Rachel summons gigantic projectiles from behind her that gust towards the opponent. The number and type of projectiles depend on how many winds Rachel had when she used the move; there are a total of five levels.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			Tempest Dahlia is used as a defensive DD. It is mainly used to stall for time or regain a lot of wind (ground version only). It can be used to punish opponents who are recklessly jumping or air dashing in, but (due to heavy proration on the last projectile) Rachel cannot get much damage from it.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			The closer Rachel's back is to the corner, the faster the projectiles will appear on screen. Also, once a projectile appears on screen, it's active frames are guaranteed.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			All versions are plus on block and Rachel is able to move while the super is still in progress. Thus, she can get in mix ups where both she and her opponent are obscured by King George or King Pumpkin.
		</p>

		<p>

		</p>

		<p>
			<span style="text-decoration: underline;">Clownish Calendula</span> - <img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":df:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_df.gif"><img alt=":f:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_f.gif"><img alt=":df:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_df.gif"><img alt=":d:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_d.gif"><img alt=":db:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_db.gif"><img alt=":b:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_b.gif"><img alt=":cbt:" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_cbutton.gif"></p>

		<p>
			Rachel's Astral Heat. She pulls down her umbrella and summons a giant pillar of red. Any contact the opponent makes with this pillar is game over for them. Guard point from the freeze until the end of the move. Wind can be used to the draw the opponent into the pillar. In CP, this move was made blockable, however it can now be combo'd into from a number of moves.

	<p>
		<br>
		- First of all: My thanks to Glirandly for allowing me to set up the previous BBCP video posting threads and to continue to work on this new thread for CP v2.0 and thanks to kurushii for creating the banners that go in threads like these <img alt=":)" src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.gif" srcset="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="15" height="15"><br><br>
		- If you would like to watch Videos from BBCP from Patch 1.1. Here is a link to the previous Thread: <a href="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/index.php?/forums/topic/8483-cp11-rachel-video-thread/">BBCP 1.1 Video Thread</a><br>
		[Older threads are having the same problem of broken links since the DL upgraded. Please request match links in the meantime]
	</p>

	<p>
		<br>
		- An "X" next to a video is ok to watch, it shows it has been added to the main match ups post.<br><br>
		- You can find character initials/abbreviations typically found in Character Rankings within the game next to the "collapse" boxes. Amane for example is AM.<br><br>
		- Since the Forum Update many things have broken in terms of links and how we create threads are a little more awkward. I've finally fixed everything and updated stuff after many a long month and all that needs to be done is make it presentable in time. Quick link colour run down: Red = Part of the repaired links, Blue = Everything added since the forum update. So Blue is the newer links not previously on here.

	This is a thread to compile all the changes that made it into the final build. Post any new stuff or stuff that was in the loketest that you see in the final build here and I'll compile it in the OP. <a href="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/index.php?/forums/topic/11047-cf-rachel-loketest-changes-and-discussion/">Link to the Loketest Changes and Discussion thread</a> for reference
</p>

<p>
	<br>
	Normals:
</p>

<ul><li>
		6A floats, even on ground hit and without wind. Float is low
	</li>
	<li>
		CH 6B on ground hit crumples. Crumple time is somewhere between CT and CS1. Can convert into a combo up close. Can't seem convert into a combo at max range currently without wind (?)
	</li>
	<li>
		CH 6B on air hit still blows back the opponent full screen and wall bounces
	</li>
	<li>
		j.C no longer launches grounded opponents when under the affect of 5D's wind
	</li>
	<li>
		j.2C is an overhead but a short starter
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Drive:
</p>

<ul><li>
		Wind recovers quite fast during OD.
	</li>
	<li>
		Wind regen is nerfed. 10 seconds to regen from 0 to 4. But, that's from 0 to 4. regen from 0 to 2 is much slower than in CPE. 7 seconds to go from 0 to 2 wind.
	</li>
	<li>
		Wind can regen a bit in the air but it happens at a slower rate
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Specials:
</p>

<ul><li>
		George shocks for a shorter amount of time
	</li>
	<li>
		George has no cooldown
	</li>
	<li>
		Pumpkin is gone ;.;
	</li>
	<li>
		New Special - Ivy Blossom
	</li>
	<li>
		Lotus has shorter reocvery, comes out faster.
	</li>
	<li>
		B and C Lobelia seem to have less recovery (?)
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Ivy Blossom:
</p>

<ul><li>
		About a second after setting it, about 10 bats come out.
	</li>
	<li>
		Ivy blossom has no hitbox, but just by being near the opponent they will take life away.
	</li>
	<li>
		You can use D to guide them towards the opponent, where the opponent will be unable to avoid the attack.
	</li>
	<li>
		If you hit with ivy blossom, the small bats follow them about
	</li>
	<li>
		If you use wind, bats spread out into a fan. 1 bat or 2 bats doesn't hurt very much. But if used in an oki position, it can hurt.
	</li>
	<li>
		No effect from more than 1 Ivy
	</li>
	<li>
		Ivy hurts quite a bit if all of the bats are on them
	</li>
	<li>
		Bats won't kill
	</li>
	<li>
		If you don't use wind, characters on top of Ivy (the cross thing), probably continually take 1 damage. (?)
	</li>
	<li>
		Overall duration is short - maybe 2/3 of Pumpkin
	</li>
	<li>
		Opponents touched by the bats take 100 damage regardless of guard. Instantly.
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Distortions:
</p>

<ul><li>
		Tempest Dahlia's Trajectory changed. It still comes out from the back of Rachel forward but it has a parabolic drop so that the projectiles drop in front of her. When done in the air, it arcs sharply downwards
	</li>
	<li>
		Wind regens quickly during Tempest Dahlia.
	</li>
</ul><p>
	Misc:
</p>

<ul><li>
		5CC &gt; Tempest Dahlia no longer connects
	</li>
</ul><p>

</p>

So I've gone and made a thread for this discussion. (Twitter is too cramped)<br><br><div style="width:auto;border:1px solid #930000;padding:4px;">

Let's get the ball rolling here and have an open discussion about it <img src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.gif" alt=":)"><br><br>With CF soon upon us, we'll have to revamp/revise Rachel's Offence and Defence sections when it goes live but hopefully we can create a workable structure/shell.<br></div>

Discuss the newest iteration of Rachel here. Speculation should be kept to a minimum as we are aiming to get as much solid information from the loketest gathered here. Information should not be taken as 100% accurate nor will it reflect the final changes Rachel will receive due to the nature of loketests.</p><p>

<p>Discuss the Jin matchup here.</p><p>
</p><p>
If Jin has 25 meter, always make sure to block high after 6B until he lands, his new move j.214D allows him to do a relatively slow overhead as long as he is airborne.</p><p>
Don't summon carelessly if he is sitting at 25 meter, as he can do a fullscreen D icecar to punish. Also, if you see it coming, make sure to block low. He can now manually add his 2nd hit, but it doesn't really seem to matter much. You can punish both with 5B and there is no gap inbetween the hits. Just time your 5B for when you'd punish the first hit. If he is going for his follow-up you'll automatically block it, still being able to punish with 5B.</p><p>
</p><p>
Apparently his 2C is a much better anti air now. A mistimed fullscreen 236A punish can hurt.</p><p>
</p><p>
The only ice swords he is able to do now are his horizontal ones (being 236A and j.236A), with the exception being his j.236D, shooting at about the same arc as his old j.236A. (<a href="" http: rel="external nofollow">Reference</a>)</p>

Once Rachel is cornered, she has a hard time getting out. </p><p>
Wind dashes are useful for punishing summons.</p>

Some general tips I've gathered:</p><p>
- His "WYVERN!" charging in move absorbs projectiles. Anticipate this during your zoning. Snipe it with 6B. Basically, treat it as if it's another sledge except he has to be in a certain stance to use it. DO NOT TEMPEST DAHLIA... you will be sad.</p><p>
</p><p>
- His normals are insanely big. I find that playing patiently and making him whiff more effective than trying to go in all the time.</p><p>
</p><p>
- Once you have him in the corner you are pretty much in control. It's very likely Kagura will DP out so just bait it with safe frog setup / pumpkin setups.</p>

</p><p>
Her D Sonic Saber (only available in GA mode, consuming 1 stock) has a terrible durability. Any Lobelia or a mere pumpkin hit is enough to make it disappear.</p><p>
We need to be careful when summoning George, as she can quickly teleport behind us for 2 stocks.</p><p>
Izayoi struggles against airborne opponents.</p>

</p><p>
We can 2C or 6A his blood scythe (214D) on reaction. Spacing is important though, if he is standing close enough (around our 2A range), the scythe will crossup, making 2C whiff. 6A still works, but can easily turn into a 5A if we aren't quick enough, netting him a FC combo.</p><p>
</p><p>
Outside of that, 236A with wind is still the bane of his existence, especially if he is affected by B lotus.</p><p>
He can still get rid of george rather easily with 3C.</p>
