The specific air combos will be specified when used in a combo.

How to Combo Using 22C:

In order to combo after you need to hit with the last few active frames of the move, so she recovers faster and you can do a followup attack. To get this to work you need to make sure you time it so she hits with 22C right has she bounces, for a visual guide on the timing watch the guide here.

To learn how to combo after 6B please read the F.A.Q located
here.

Hammer Loop:

When you see something listed as [Hammer Loop] you will be doing:

(Opener) sj.B > j.C > dj.C > j.D(Hammer) > 5C > sj.B > j.C > dj.C > j.D (Optional 5C > 632146C ender) The opening combo into the j.B > etc. may differ, so when you see [Hammer Loop] know that it's starting from j.B.

In order to preform the 5C after the j.D(Hammer) you must hit with j.D while your opponent is beneath you so the second hit connects while they are grounded. The timing can be tricky, but keep practicing.

Hammer Loop Variant:

(Opener) sj.C > dj.C > j.D(Hammer) > 5C > sj.B > j.C > dj.C > j.D (Optional 5C > 632146C ender) The opening combo into the j.C > etc. may differ, so when you see [Hammer Loop Variant] know that it's starting from j.C.

This is used in situations where sj.B > j.C > dj.C > j.D will not work.

Disclaimer: A good amount of the information here is speculative, I STILL haven't gotten to play with Platinum yet (fucking PSN T^T), so any information pertaining to Plat's "X" can "Y" Valk's "Z" is based on vid matches and my knowledge of CS2 Valk. So please, if anything is blatantly wrong/innacurate, please feel free to test it out/correct me, and I'll update this post accordingly.

Matchup: 4.5 A little in Valk's favor considering the trouble his range and damage gives to Plat, but if you keep on him and maintain pressure you can wreck him (Valk has shitty health too, and less primers than we do :D)

Punishes:

First off, 236A is -2 on block now, so if they do it during a blockstring just IB (really easy) and punish, smart Valk's (probably) won't do this though (*sadface*) just keep it in mind

Any D-cancels can be jabbed (they'll try to condition you against this, but screw that :D).

If he's dumb and runs out of wolf meter, then go nuts :D his combos are practically non-existent.

Anti-Airing:

Beware the vertical range on his j.C, and know that his j.B can cross you up if the situation warrants it. As always Bat is a great AA, and 6A will more likely trade with his j.C (not sure, can't check D:), not sure on how his j.C stacks up to our 2C

On the other hand, Valk has pitiful defense, abuse this when jumping/IADing in... His 2C no longer has head invul, so it trades a lot more, but it DOES still have very good range and speed so be wary of your spacing.

Valk might also use his 6A as anti-air (depends, some do - some don't), this move is very punishable if you catch him doing it too early, so bait it and punish accordingly (Swallow Moon right above his face and CH him after it for brownie points :D), just be careful of the guard point it has.

Zoning:

Long story short, Valk sucks against zoning so if you get Bombs/Missiles and wanna troll him, go ahead. Throw in some Dream Sally's and Mystic Momo's and have a field day :D

Not really recommended though, consistent pressure is the far safer route over all but if you think you can get away with it (and get back in through his pokes) have fun, Plat would want you to...

Strategy:

Pressure. Pressure. Pressure. Valk's two big weaknesses are zoning and pressure, but Platinum really can't zone well, especially without Missiles/Bombs and even still those only last 3/6 set uses, so pressure is the way to go.

Watch out for his pokes, they have gdlk range, but they're slow, so be patient and once you get in, don't let him push you out. Work Plat's okizeme, Valk doesn't have much (if any) solid wake-up options so try to keep him pinned.

His only real defense without meter is 6A which can be baited, once he HAS meter, watch out for Counter Assaults (and if they're desperate they might try 632146D, just be careful because it has invincibility up to the initial bite). Otherwise they're likely to save their meter for RC combos and Distortion enders (which REALLY hurt so try not to let that happen).

Just watch your mixups because a decent Valk can score a CH 6A into serious pain + oki, and you don't want him on the offensive.

His blockstrings are short because he's not very fast, so look for holes if your being pressured. His mixup is downright scary... 236B, 3C, 6B, 6C and 5B > jc > j.C are his go-to mixup tools, so watch for those moves and punish accordingly.

When you're blocking the wolf, his 5A hits low, his 5B has head invul (it's a good AA too, so watch out for that), and watch out for his j.A and j.B overheads. his 236A/B and j.214A/B go through Dream Sally too, so don't even bother.

Item Strategy:

Hammer can wreck him, he only has 4 primers, if you are pressuring him (which you very much should be), mix in two Hammer hits, and break his ass, then the corner is more than likely a quick Mami Circular away.

Cat has good range, not sure how it stacks up against his 5C, but the j.D has more vertical range than his kick so you could probably CH him out of his poke and get in. Miracle Jeanne this item to show him what REAL range is :D

Missiles/Bombs are good cover/oki to get in for more pressure, he can't really do much against projectiles but dodge them, so go ahead.

Bat is a godsend on the defensive as always, just don't get predictable...

And the Pan's range in this matchup really makes it reserved for j.D mixups and combo extensions.

Discuss useful strategies against Tsubaki here! I'll try and keep this updated with your suggestions and my own data at the least twice a weak.Seriously people there has to be something to say about our friend Tsubaki right? Feel free to throw up a post with your own data and speculation and i'll add it to the main post!

Platinum's matchup vs. Tsubaki is 5.0 which is good but don't get too ecstatic about it...

Punishes:Okay some basic punishes on Tusbaki are: Any whiffed 6C's as that has much recovery, after a whiffed 6c Platinum could just use Mami Circular and continue pressure and what not. 6a whiffed is highly punishable its really slow to come out after the whiff follow ups with 5c Mami and continue pressure however should the 6a be blocked you will need to mash out a 5a because she'll go onto 5c most of the time on block to pressure. You should pressure and punish Tsubaki whenever she has no charges because she wont have any of those pesky "D" version side-effects benefitting her. 22a,b,c,d are all pretty much safe on block or whiff, and depending on your range throw out a mami circular or 5b/c.

Anti_airs:I've seen that mystique momo works well to get those certain Tsubakis who like to jump up and charge. 6a,6c all work fine and 6c can set up overheads and pressure. Standard stuff Tsubaki only has one move (jcc) that she can come down on you from the air with.

Zoning:Tsubaki should be relatively easy to zone as she is rush-down and has no projectiles so the safest bet for zoning Tsubaki are mystique Momo'd(214D) Cat Missiles and Bombs as well as the cat hammer(be careful with the cat hammer as it takes a few frames to come out) Zoning Tsubaki is crucial because it will prevent her from getting any preliminary charges out.

Basic Strategy: If you play too defensive Tsubaki will be able to accumulate charges quickly with her new and improved 5d and with at least 1 charge any Tsubaki should be able to dish out upwards of 3000 damage. So basic pressure combos like 5b 5c mami 5d which will give you an item to zone with.Yes I'll admit I did not notice how fast she is, so your main choice of play style is simply to wait for her to mess up a blocked close 22x can be confirmed with your 5a or a blocked 236x well not 236d are decent openings. Remember she has great mix up so keep calm and wait

Item Strategy:

Missiles and Bombs: used primarily for zoning purposes keeping Tsubaki at bay and preventing charging. Exercise caution with these don't throw them out at random

Cat Hammer: used for zoning and getting overheads not much else in my book, but if anyone has better suggestions post away

Hammer: quake affect on the 16t hammer will allow you to get in but the hammer should be saved for combos

The Bat: fairly useful as a pseudo counter-assault to get Tsubaki off of your case preventing any big combos.

Punishes:

Litchi is a fairly safe character, her Drive allows her to set and launch her Staff during pressure to make a lot of her moves and pressure strings safe. So punishing her can be difficult at times, so you need to be on your toes and watch for the holes in her strings.

Below is a list of moves that can be punished and the best moves for punishing them (Some are just ways to escape):

With Staff:

4D[m], IB: 5A

j.2D[m] (First hit only), IB: 5A

Tsubame Gaeshi (623D[m]): Dash > 6A, Dash > 5C, 236B, 5D (Cat Mace)

Tsubame Gaeshi (623D[m]), IB: Dash > 6C, Dash > 2C

ItsuuB (41236D~B[m]): Run, Back Dash

ItsuuB (41236D~B[m]), IB: Super Jump, Dash > 2B, Dash > 5C, Dash > 6A, 5D (Cat Mace)

ItsuuC: Jump, Back Dash, Run, Dash > 5C, Dash > 2B, 5D (Cat)

ItsuuC, IB: 236B

5B[m] > 5C, IB: 5D (Bat), 632146C

5B[m] > 3C, IB: Jump, 6C, TK j.236C > j.B, 236B, j.D (Cat Mace), 5D (Bat), Throw

2C[m] > 5C: 5D (Bat), 632146C

5C[m] > 3C: 6C, 5D (Bat)

5C[m] > 3C, IB: Jump, TK j.236C > j.B, 236B, j.D (Cat Mace), Throw

Staffless:

[*]Haku (236A): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 3C, 5D (Cat Mace/Bat)

[*]Hatsu (236B): 5A, 2A, 6A, 5B, 2B, 5C, Dash > 2C, 6C, 3C, 5D (Cat Mace/Bat), 236B

[*]Chun (236C): 5A

[*]Chun (236C), IB: 5C

(NOTE: TK Chun is safe on block, so it can't be punished, but grounded Chun and Followup Chun are unsafe)

Anti-Airing:

6A is your go to anti-air for this match-up. Litchi's only jump-in with the Staff is j.B, in order to land with this Litchi has to be quite close to the opponent, so 6A will always be able to get her when she's at this range. Without the Staff Litchi is probably going to be using j.C because it has a bigger hitbox, but she still has to be very close for this to land. So remember, 6A is your friend against jump-ins.

Against cross-up j.2D you can actually 2C on reaction (It will hit behind you) and you can get a free Counter Hit, but this only works if you see it coming.

Watch out for her glide throw because she'll be coming in very fast and most of the time you won't have time for 6A, however 5A can catch her if you're fast enough.

Zoning:

Missiles are good for getting in, but Litchi's super jump is really high and she can get over the Missiles very easily. Bombs are the best projectiles to use against Litchi, the angle that she throws the Bombs will keep Litchi from being able to jump over them and because they hit multiple times you don't have to worry about Litchi relaunching the Staff to stuff your projectiles.

Strategy:

This is primarily a mid-ranged match, you'll be doing a lot of poking with 2B, 5C, 3C and j.C. The main focus is to stay on your toes and be very patient. Litchi's rushdown is one of the best in the game and her mix-up is extremely tight, however, she lacks a lot of defensive options, so keeping her locked down is rather easy. Litchi and Platinum are very close to one another in quite few areas of zoning and poking, but ultimately Litchi has the better poking game. One good think to take note of is that Platinum's 2B goes under Litchi's 6B[m], which is her main poke. So you can very easily punish her poking game with 2B. You need to keep a strong neutral game and play it safe. Both characters rely a lot on momentum, so the main focus is for you to always be the one controlling the match. Always be watching out for what your opponent is doing and try to adapt to the situation, Litchi has a wide range of tools and she's good in almost any situation, so be prepared to switch up your playstyle on the fly.

Item Strategy:

Cat Mace, Bombs and the Bat are probably the most important items in this match-up. Litchi's rushdown and mix-up game is very strong, but she has very large gaps in most of her Staff normals and Platinum can IB > Bat through them, it's also very useful for when she's doing Staff recall pressure strings.

The Cat Mace is Platinum's greatest poke, it's very fast, covers a massive range, deals good damage and leaves the opponent in a tech state. Allowing Platinum to reset the momentum of the match, which is the most important aspect of this match-up. Cat Mace beats a lot of Litchi's pokes clean and will beat her out in air-to-air situations when she's approaching with j.C[m]. Make sure you use it wisely though, because without it Litchi returns to being on top of the poking game.

Because of Platinum's Bombs hitting twice, even if Litchi hits them with her Staff Recall they'll continue to go through and make contact with her and cause the explosion, making them more useful then the Missiles when up against Litchi. Because of the arc in which the Bombs travel Litchi can't Super Jump and IAD through them and begin her rushdown game. But use them sparingly, because they're easy to punish.

Character Specific Details:

Litchi is a very strong character who handles well in pretty much any situation she's put in, the only area where she really lacks is the defensive area. Otherwise she's solid through and through. Litchi's biggest strongpoint is in Daisharin corner Oki, her corner game with Daisharin creates an almost impossible to block mixup game with total lockdown. If she gets a successful mixup with Daisharin going she can begin her next combo and reset the whole process, this is extremely dangerous and is almost inescapable by most characters.

[*]Platinum's 2B goes under Litchi's Counter Assault

[*]j.236AXXX has to be delayed a very long time after 22C > 5C > Air Combo 1 in order for all three hits to connect

[*]6A > 236B in juggles needs to be delayed during highly prorated combos or else she'll tech

[*]OTG 6A > 22C does not work on Litchi

[*]Litchi doesn't wallbound after Platinum's Back Throw in the corner

[*]Litchi can kara-throw from 6B and 6C[m]

[*]Litchi can glide throw from an airdash

[*]After Air Hatsu > Chun Litchi can setup a vortex

Punishes:

His J.d and 2.d have decievingly long recovery frames making them very punishible if baited. He also has very weak anti airs, that being his 5a, 2c, and counters.

j.D has 12 frames landing recovery, making it pretty hilariously unsafe for the worst damage of all his parries and no corner push at all without RCing it (also a terrible idea). Most Hakus aren't going to use it since the risk vs. reward is far too poor for him. Be careful with Plat's 6B. 20 frames is more than enough time to slip a 6D in it if the Haku is looking for it, especially if you're using it at close to max range to try and continue pressure. Using Swallow Moon for mixup can also make things easier to parry, but punishing being much easier for Plat in this scenario makes committing to a parry a far bigger risk for Haku.

4C and j.C makes it hard to get in.

Anti-airing:

Hakumen jumps around like crazy due to his weak ground dash, so anti airing is generally free, just be careful of counters. His j.d is extremely punishable believe it or not, so If you manage to call it out you can get some huge damage off of it.

Haku's j.B is 8 frames startup now and makes competing with AA's easier. If the Haku j.2Cs a lot, then AAing probably isn't that difficult.

2C clashes with TK hotaru and dash Hotaru in quite a bit of my experiences.

Zoning:

Hakumen can cut and counter projectiles so use them sparingly. Your 5b, J.c, and 3c are very good at keeping him wary of whiffing attacks

2B/3C are seriously your go to pokes.

Becareful using j.C as Haku can reaction catch that.

Your normal mix up applies just don't use bubble oki unless you want him to easy mode catch it.

Strategy:

In this matchup you generally want to try and maintain a game of footsies. Remember while his pokes have greater range, you have greater speed. 5b and 3c are good for punishing wiffs. His 4c greatly extends his hitbox, so 3c is great for hitting him during it.

Item Strategy:

Try not to overuse obvious projectiles like the Bomb and Missile. Her Cat pole is great for punishing anything he wiffs, due to him being generally slow. The pan is great as an overhead, but be careful of abusing it on wakeup so It doesnt get obvious and you eat a 6d.

Plat's bombs are easy to cut, but it's worth noting that the easiest way to do so in most situations is when they're still in the air, and voiding them in the air will not stop the explosions when they hit the ground. Her 214D missiles have a gap in them even without instant block, so any Haku who knows his stuff will get a free 6D if you try to approach with them.

Missles should be used in blockstrings instead of approach and bombs are not so useful here. (He can cut and catch them.)

Character Specific Details:

Hakumen is a character based around exploiting bad fundamentals. If you get too obvious with mixups, you will get 6D'd. If you throw out random projectiles he will cut them allowing him to gain meter. Take notice that he has very weak ground travel due to his dash being a short hop. Because of this he will most likely spend most of him time in the air. He himself has very weak anti airs, none of which have overhead invincibility, so don't be afraid of doing a few jump ins. His DP (Hotaru) has FC properties and can lead into some big damage, so make sure not to try anything too obvious on his wakeup. While it is a DP he still has 6 or 7 frames where he has to jump, so it is not completely invincible from the start

tk.hotaru is 4 frames startup. Your mileage may vary online. Most smart hakus won't DP on wakeup unless they're absolutely certain it's going to work or if they feel the opponent is too afraid of parries to do meaties. Going for bubble oki can be really risky for plat if you aren't actively thinking about baiting a parry. At neutral however, it can be difficult to create a voidzone out of a bubble by cutting it, as more often than not it seems to simply be destroyed. 4C probably works the best there, so whichever bubbles don't path along the ground (I dunno the inputs just yet) are best if you're going to try to use it for whatever reason.

You can derp his AA's with swallow moon.
