Ky (#R -> XRD)
- CH 6P prolonged hitstun.
- CH 5H does not stagger; prolonged hitstun.
- 2H is still AC+ 2H. One hit, jump cancelable.
- Greed Sever does not ground bounce; just launches. Air hit Greed Sever is high, can combo from super jump. Also does not crossup.
- 5S or 5H->GS does not work.
- Seal powered Charged Stun Edge is 6 hits.
- Cannot perform #R 5S->6K loop. Either or both moves are AC+ version.
- 6K can be special canceled.
- j.S does not hit crouching and lost crossup.
- Ground hit Split Ciel (236D; new move. Sets out one Seal) staggers on hit. Air hit does not slide anymore from previous loketests.
- Air Ride the Lightning can wallstick.

Still a work in progress.

Anyone know what works well to variate Ky's pressure game, or make it more airtight?

Find more concrete examples of Dash VT combos and add them to the wiki

Change all instances of "H" to "HS" for consistencies sake lol

Finish up (or possibly completely rewrite) the combo theory section

I refer to frame data a lot, so it'd be helpful to know if that banner shouldn't be there, the entire list shouldn't be used, or something in between.

While there is a wealth of amazing material on Dustloop, I have found a lot of it to be slightly too advanced for my beginner ass. I am a tournament-going VF5 and USF4 player who is just now trying out GGXrd. Long story short, I love it but I am BAD.

I watch Machaboo and Ain videos all the time, and pay attention to their oki setups; they are amazing but often layers and layers deep. I was hoping a few advanced Kys on this forums might help newbies like myself with a set of, say, 3-5 decent oki setups to focus on and get comfortable with.

Currently, after knockdown and edge, I use meaty 6HS, empty jump throw, and dashing 2K pressure...and that's pretty much it. What I would LOVE to see is a few options along with follow up block strings or hit confirm options. Even if it's just a few bullet points (doesn't have to be an essay). Whatever you'd like to contribute, it would be much appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE LOCATION TEST CHANGES AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE IN THE FINAL BUILD

Ky Changes:

- Stunedge: 90% Initial proration added and YRC window increased

- Stun Dipper: 90% Initial proration added

- Split Ciel: Attack level increased from 2 to 4

- Sacred Edge: start up changed to 4+3 from 5+3; Projectile comes out even if you YRC right after the start-up; No longer reflected by Zato's Drunkard Shade.
- 5HS: staggers on counter hit

- 2HS: 90% Initial proration added

- 6HS: 2nd hit's active frames increased from 1F->2F; Recovery decreased from 3F->2F; RISC value increased from 10->20

- Throw: RISC value on 2nd hit decreased from 8->6

- Air Stun Edge: Damage increase from 33->43; Staggers on counter hit

- Ride the Lightning: Blows back farther on otg hit.

System Changes:

- The input buffer for button presses, forward dash etc. has been increased.
- Some commands for specials and supers are now easier to input.
- If you Blitz Shield a projectile and the opponent is nearby, they get repelled.
- The start-up of purple Roman Cancel is reduced.
- When the opponent uses Roman Cancel during a blue Psyche Burst's start-up, a red Roman Cancel is now performed.
- Changed the behavior of neutral ukemi at low altitude.

I'm a Ramlethal player that has a hard time with this match up. The local fighting game community here has a very good Ky player here and bodies me every time we play. I can only maybe take a round or two from him after playing a few sets with him. I know I'm by no means a great Ram player but I'm definitely up to learn how to improve. Just reaching out for help and trying to level up in general. - #R: +6 on block, possible to link 5S, 2S, and 2D afterwards (this makes 5S -> 6K loop work), not special cancelable.

- +R: +4 on block, cannot link 5S but special cancelable.

- Xrd: Same as +R. May have more/less advantage on block.

6H

- #R: Two-hit swipe. +15 on block, special cancelable on both hits.

- +R: New move: one hit ranged swipe.

- Xrd: Same as #R.

3H

- #R: No input.

- +R: Exactly #R's 6H.

- Xrd: New move: one hit upward swipe. Special cancelable, gatlings from most moves; most important is f.S for max range confirms.

2H

- #R: Two hits, slower, no jump cancel.

- +R: One hit, faster, jump cancelable.

- Xrd: Mixture of both versions. Two hits, seems to have +R startup and jump cancelable.

- #R: Two on the same jump possible. Prolonged hitstun on ground hit.

- +R: Could not have more than one from the same jump (FB star could however) Floats on ground hit. Floats higher on CH.

- Xrd: One j.D per jump; but does float on hit (might have changed from 2nd loketest?) Summons one Seal.

Stun Edge (236S)

- #R: One version. -4 on block(?)

- +R: FRC added. Two versions: Slash (same as #R) and HS (faster, more recovery)

- Xrd: FRC removed (but YRC OK) One version, may be the same as #R.

Charged Stun Edge (236H)

- #R: FRC added. No aerial version.

- +R: Aerial OK. Command change to 236D.

- Xrd: FRC removed (but YRC OK), the same as #R version; no aerial.

Stun Dipper (236K)

- #R: Faster startup, longer distance, combos (2 hits) better. FRC'able.

- +R: Slower startup, shorter distance, a bit more difficult to combo from max ranges.

- Xrd: FRC removed (YRC OK?), might have #R startup with +R distance.

Greed Sever (214K)

- #R: Slow startup; floats on hit. Higher float on CH.

- +R: Faster startup; ground bounces on both ground and air hit. Crossup OK.

- Xrd: +R startup with CH height float on normal air hit (combo possible with 2H or super jump). Floats normally on ground hit as #R. No crossup.

+R Charged Stun Edge/Split Ciel (236D)

- #R: No input.

- +R: New input for CSE. Refer to Charged Stun Edge for changes.

- Xrd: Input for Split Ciel (new move in Xrd)
