Yea so I'm here creating a general thread which is accessible for other dustloop. And also for non dustloop members who live in Montreal. Montreal general discussion will be used for where and when there is meet ups and where, along with anything BB/GG/Montreal oriented stuff, go wild, troll hard.

For those of you who are new comers, still check out the MTLers Sub Forum For all the latest info about what's going on in the BB community. The sub forum has phone number information if necessary, info about where meet ups are, where they are, and who will be attending.
We also have a gamer tag thread, for members of Team NAH, that don't wanna come out for tournaments. Still no excuse to show up though offline play>online play, don't believe me? Come out to a meet up then.

If you're one of them dudes, who just prefers to go to tournaments then check out the Official Montreal Monthly Mashfest Tournament Thread. Post there with regards to anything tournament related, such as whether or not you will be attending or if you're bringing anyone. I'll be updating that saying what my plans are, if you have any problems or anything you can P.M me or call me up, I'm the the guy incharge.

Right now the only other place where we do meetups is pochp & Brice's appartment, usually on the other Fridays, but stay stay posted for other random meetups. We mostly play BB, GG, and UNiEL, as well as a bunch of games on the side (P4A,Sm4sh,DFC...). Also, feel free to host if you can. We do tend to travel often to out of town events. We don't go to Foonzo anymore.
 
The main purpose of this thread is to post general info, reply to it, and interact with people from other areas. We have a separate website : http://www.sankishin.com/board with a bunch of subforums and a chat where we talk about whatever. Sign up!

Also, if you don't live in the Montreal area, there are some players in other cities like Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivieres, and Quebec. Post up, you never know. Some of us also netplay a lot, so connections might be decent :o

Best known for being the "Faust Guy" among the GGer's, Gabe looks like your average normal CS undergrad/caveman... unless you happen to be standing on the WRONG end of one of the many Nerf MACHINE GUNS he has lying around his house. Gabe possesses special stand powers, which allow him to magically summon MULTIPLE chibi-Pot's within the same round, avoid attacks that SHOULD hit a Faust on a pogo stick (but don't...which invariably leads to his infamous and FEARED Pogo LOCKDOWN), and an uncanny ability to 6HS when you least expect it (He just did a 6HS, RC 6HS, he couldn't POSSIBLY 6HS again...) However, it appears that the same luck that causes rare events to appear more often, also applies to the scalpel super... resulting in a disproportionate number of angels, ESPECIALLY if the opponent was on the verge of death.

Gabe is currently the only known remaining master of Nanto Seiken. Common everyday household objects such as bricks attached to chains, barrels of oil, matches, shotguns, statues, marble pillars, mirrors and I-bars, are all deadly weapons in his resourceful hands. He is also known to have several henchmen, including a certain Frank who assisted him in placing the seven scars on Paulnareff's chest during the infamous Nanto Flag incident. Although he lost an arm in the fierce battle for the Nanto Flag, it appears he has replaced the lost limb with one of the legendary GODDO HANDs.

Hi guys, as we all know, finding players in EU is a major pain. Everybody is in a million seperate mini communities with Skype Groups, IRCs, Mumbles etc

MechaGS has made this website and a twitter bot for it.

So whats the deal?

This you sign into this website and you will be able to announce lobbies that are made. After you make a lobby, you can create a lobby on the website as well for everybody to see. Then the twitter bot will tweet it out so everybody who follows the bot, also see's it

If everybody uses it properly, it will make matchmaking far easier. Ever wondered "I wonder who's playing right now..."? This will answer that

As time and interest piles on, MechaGS will put on many more features such as

Player Profiles - So people can have their own little space to say things about themself. Also tick what games they play so they can appear on the...

Game Player Finder - Search players and lobbies by Game. if a player has ticked that they play for example... Arcana Heart 3 Love Max. You will be able to see EVERY PERSON who has signed up, and ticked AH3LM in their list of playing games. Then you can arrange games that way also. Same for lobbies being created

I urge everybody to use this. If everybody uses it, it will be great for matchmaking for Fighting Games

So i searched the forums for a Middle East matchmaking thread and i found nothing, so here we are.

The Middle East is basically the arabian peninsula, but we don't discriminate, this thread also welcomes North African and people close to the Middle east to be regulars. Anybody can post in the thread.

Now we all know that the Middle east isn't the greatest place for video games, especially not fighting games (ESPECIALLY not anime games). The scene in the middle east is fairly small but still exists, so i hope to expand it, and where is a better place than the biggest blazblue forum?

Here we discuss blazblue, try to meet up, discuss tournaments and the middle east scene, commute and make friends, discuss any fighting games (not just blazblue) and try our best to expand the scene, also, we can regularly hold online matches since we all know that internet connections are really bad in the middle east.

Before we start, i'd like to introduce this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlazBlueArabia1/ this is blazblue arabia, the arabic blazblue community, if you have a facebook account or want to commute with them, i recommend that you join and be social, but since facebook is such a crappy system sometimes i think that discussing here is better.

When you join the thread as a newcomer, i want you to introduce yourself, personal information is optional and unnecessary, but it would help us get to know you better, what IS important, is stating the country you are in, giving details like the city or street you live in would be very helpful in identifying where you are so you and somebody else can meet up, or you can just meet up on some sort of meeting place.

You should also state your PSN account (or XBL account if you want to play other games with people) so we can connect and play.

Mentioning your local scene, any tournaments that are going on, arcades etc. is very helpful.

Qatar's fighting game scene is not very large so to say, not many people play fighting games here but there is a scene here, more specifically in a place called The Gaming Lounge (TGL) which is a game center that hosts Dota2, League of Legends, call of duty, battlefield and different fighting games for tournaments and casuals:

You may know my brother, who's a MUCH better player than me who plays bang, who goes by the name cerebrs (sometimes cerbers ignite).

We have casuals every Wed in Xtreme Gaming Cafe on Liffey Street within Dublin City Centre, there is a thread put up for Wednesday casuals usually 1-3 days beforehand to check attendance, casuals can be held on other days (Saturday is usually the popular option) but as of now, Wednesday is the most popular day (get about 5-10 people for GG), so please check out the XGC threads before going to check attendance.
