An all-star cast of the latest anime fighting games all in their newest iteration for people all around Europe (and beyond) to duke it out to see who the best is. This tournament is going to be a celebration and a showcase of the anime fighting game community as a whole to bring out the best in competition, skill and adaptability. This is where Europe's best will compete to truly see who is the champion and even better is that anyone from outside Europe can join in the fray to prove they are the King of the Continent.

Venue Rules:

• You must be aged 16 or above

• No alcohol/drugs/illegal substances, any found will mean ejection from the venue and possible banning of future events.

• No fighting at the venue, any fighting is a bannable offense, if there is a problem please contact a member of staff first.

• Any weaponry brought to the venue will result in immediate calls to the police.

• Any controllers and sticks are your own responsibility; we will not look after any at any time.

• Do not touch any of the consoles unless you are plugging in your stick or controller.

• Please make sure you have your wrist band at all times. Staff will periodically check if you have your wristband with you

• For venue entry, please print off your PayPal receipt and a symbol of identification (Driverfs Licence, Passport, ID Card) to get your wristband.

If anything has happened to your wristband, please bring the old one to get a new one at the front desk, explaining why this occurred.

Tournament Rules:

• If you are not at your designated spot when your game is called, there is a countdown of 2 minutes - If you are not there, you will be disqualified. If you have another game to play, please let your respective gamesf judge know so they can start another match. If you need to go toilet, please let the member of staff know that is taking your side of the bracket so there is no confusion.

• If there is a pause or controller disconnect while the game is active, then the offending player forfeits that round.

• Notify when you are going for a button check so there is no confusion. Buttons checks MUST be performed before the match starts and is the responsibility of the player.

• Chronos converters are banned

• No Turbo controllers

• No wireless pads (Due to the liability of people pressing home button during other people's matches)

• On Gundam Vs Extreme, if the connection drops, please wait 2 minutes before restarting the game.

[iVGC Seeding Event] DokuSaru Arcsys & Marvel Tournament

This event will take place on January 18th & 19th at Smartoys Liège, in Liege, Belgium.

The single player Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 event is an official International Video Games Cup (IVGC) seeding event, and will follow its system (http://www.cannesivgc.com/the-ivgc-seeding-point-program/)

1/ Schedule

- Singles events on Saturday 18 from 11 AM to 3 AM (CET)

- A nightful of FGC shenanigans at an affordable yet comfy hotel (2 nights for 3 people for around 30€/pers. [or less if you're not picky]) (we strongly suggest you try to book at the local Ibis first)

The Event

The Palais des Festivals et des congrès de Cannes is a place famous for a lot of reasons: movies, television, music, board games, but for a lot of us it’s just the place where we get to spend a few days with those friends we only get to see there. A place we’re all happy to come back to because we get to play with the best video game players on the planet under the sun of the croisette.

The WorldGameCup filled a void when it was created in 2004, year after year it created a tradition that got players from the world over to gather around the same passion.

The International Video Game Cup (IVGC) wants to continue to feed that beautiful idea, an event where the champions get to see who’s the best and their fans can enjoy the show at the venue or from the comfort of their own homes.

This first CVGC will be split in two areas:

- The FGC Arena where old time fans will get to enjoy some of the best fighting games of this generation:

      In addition to all those prizes, top-3 of each tourney will get cool trophies.

      Participation fee for main tourneys (TTT2 1v1, Injustice 1v1, SSF4 1v1, SCV 1v1) - 300 RUR (~7 EUR) for pre-registered players, 350 RUR (~8 EUR) for players.

      Participation fee for other tourneys - 200 RUR (~5 EUR) for pre-registered players, 250 RUR (~6 EUR) for players.

      Pre-registration starts from July 1st at Fighting.ru - stay tuned.

      Rules and regulations:

      All Moscow Fighting Arena 2013 tourneys are to comply with Fighting.ru general rules. While those rules are not available in English at the moment, they are pretty obvious and universal. One thing should be mentioned, however - all players choices are double-blind (unless players agreee otherwise), and there is no limitation on character swaps during a 1v1 tourney - any player may change their character before any fight, regardless of their brackets position and previous fight results.

      Main events (TTT2 1v1, SSF4AE12 1v1, Injustice: GAU 1v1, SCV 1v1) are group stage into Full Double Elimination, all games are best of 3. Groups are of 5-6 players Round Robin, top-2 advances to FDE. In case of a tie we check the result of the match between tied players, after that win-loss battle ratio. If that does not break the tie, we play a tiebreaker match bo1. There is no regional seeding for group stage, but there will be seeding based on Fighting.ru ratings. Players who won a regional qualifier (run during July in multiple Russian cities) advance to FDE directly skipping group stage entirely.

      All other 1v1 tournaments are Full Double Elimination, bo3.

      TTT2 3v3 is Full Double Elimination, King of the Hill. Individual players play bo3, teams play bo1.

      Everything is subject to change, although we would do our best to avoid any changes at this point =)

      Travel and accommodation

      Travelling to Russia is not as complicated as it is rumoured by many. Visa submission can be somewhat bothersome if you are accustomed to travelling within EU only, but it should be easy as long as you don't procrastinate till the last possible moment. Flying to Russia starts from 150 Euro for closer countries (Nordic or Western Europe); from France you can get good tickets for 250 Euro, etc., etc. You can make it even cheaper using discounters if you wish to. Whichever way you'd prefer, please don't hesitate to contact us for any kind of advice, we will gladly help.

      Food is not a problem at the venue - nice and relatively inexpensive (10 Euro for a 3 course dinner) restaurant is located right next to the venue (yes, you can eat and watch games on the big screen), and you can have basically any kind of fast food in 5 minutes walk range.

      Venue is closed after 9pm, so sleeping / staying at venue is impossible. However, we would gladly help to find you a cheap inn or a hostel with fellow fighters or a Russian person willing to host you.

      Overall, we are really looking towards seeing you at Moscow Fighting Arena, and we will do our best to ensure your comfort and to give you the best Russian hospitality possible =)

      What to expect?

      [*]40-100 players per tourney, ~250 fighters overall

      [*]Nice weather (average Moscow temperature for August is +17 С) and good sightseeing (you can easily get to Kremlin from the venue in 20-25 minutes (Google maps)) - unless you prefer to have more of friendly button-mashing and salty money-matches =)

What is it?

A 3 day event celebrating the biggest fighting game tournament in the world EVO Championship series. We have tournament events, fun competitions, a bar, arcade machines, and EVO broadcasted on a big projector screen.

This is the 3rd annual EVO-party and it’s shaping up to be bigger than ever!

When?

The event starts friday morning 12 july, and ends monday morning on the 15th, when we watch the grand finals of EVO.

What am I getting for my money?

Apart from permission to be at the venue you are getting this:

4. One laminated Salt-Card. (shout-outs to Roihuvuori Arcade). A one-time use of this card grants you an opportunity to extend any match you lost to one more match. For example a first-to-three wins becomes a first-four match (does not include arcade machines)

5. One free Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo arcade machine token

6. If you make it to finals of any tournament - you will get direct-footage of your matches in HD. Additionally recording of any of your matches will be allowed if the equipment is available. Bring a flash-drive!

What games are available?

All currently known fighting games will be available in one form or another. Not every game gets it’s own station, but the most popular ones have dedicated stations and special tournaments. There will be a “challenge-board’ available, where all willing participants can sign up for a tournament in any game. If the game gets at least 8 players - a tournament bracket will be organized.

Which games have official tournaments then?

As of now the following games are getting special Evo-party tournaments. (These games are also getting dedicated stations). More info on the tournaments is available here(link coming soon)

What’s an unofficial tournament?

It’s a community tournament. If 8 or more people want to play a tournament in any fighting game, it will be organized by us. Rules and prize-pool are decided by the participants. A separate game-station (or 2) will be dedicated to that event.

Anything else to compete in?

There will be a challenge wall, where you can post your challenge to anyone at the event, to play in a separate set.

What about consoles and stuff? Will there be enough?

There will be 8 current-gen console stations, both xbox360 and ps3, 4 arcade machines, a PC, and some other consoles too!

Will you give me a controller?

Nope, please take your own controller, or ask someone at the event. We will have a couple of spare controllers, but we cannot guarantee that you can have them for the whole event.

There’s a bar?

Yes we have a dedicated in-house bar. Snacks, lunch, dinner, drinks etc. will be available for purchase. (also extra salt cards!)

What about accomodation?

You’re welcome to sleep on our floor as long as there is space. If you are a regular Evo-Party attendee, we will even give you a couch (at least 2 are available at this time). The venue will be closed from when EVO has ended to around lunch-time of the next day. During that time those who have secured their place in the venue - can stay there.

Alternatively there are at least 2 youth-hostels available in the same building. They are pretty cheap, and really awesome. We will post info and arrange pre-booking for you if needed (info coming soon!) Of course there are dozens of hostel available in Old-Town

For those who didn't hear, Arc System Works has its own SBO style tournament series this year! There will be regional quals and everything, but the difference is that all tournaments are singles tournaments. The featured games are GGXXACPR, BBCP, and P4A.

On April 26th, 27th and 28th 2013, you know that the Stunfest is « the place to be » for gamers but also for curious people who enjoy games and want to discover a whole new way to approach video games. The Stunfest is a video games festival like you never seen… Arcades machines, retrogaming, indie games, concerts, conferences, and one of the biggest fighting games competition in Europe. In order to make BlazBlue and offline gameplay more accessible to players.

Allow others to learn more about the game in a stimulating environment.

Offline competition is always better than online.

Getting there:

The closest Station to the place is Piccadilly Circus which is on the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines. Once you exit the barriers you take the exit to the left which has the 'Trocadero' sign. Do not go outside into the high street.

Pass through the automatic doors and continue to walk forward through all the break dancers (lol) and once you're near the escalators go up, and then turn left, it will be right there in front of you.
