	Hello. And welcome to the Ragna The Bloodedge hate thread. This is for people that hate Ragna both gameplay-wise and/or story-wise. If you have any rants, discussions, and reasons for said dislike, please comment down below and explain.

	And here's my reason for why I hate Ragna The Bloodedge:
</p>

<p>
	Y'see, I felt that Ragna's character was unnecessary for BlazBlue and I hated since his debut of Calamity Trigger. Ragna was the only student trained by Jubei the strong cat-warrior and Rachel Alucard, which made me upset because he was the only one there and no one else in particular. Second, he wields BlazBlue, which I didn't like more. Why do he and Terumi wield BlazBlue, but no one else seems to earn it themselves? Third, almost <strong>EVERY</strong> character has some sort of grudge or love-hate relationship with Ragna. Nu and Jin Kisaragi, for example. <strong>I HATE THAT SO MUCH.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Don't get me started on his design, his crude nature, his weapon of choice, and last but not least... His personality. Ragna is rude, cynical, pessimistic for no reason. If you <strong>DARE</strong> say that he got his armed hacked off by Terumi because of that church "incident", <strong>THAT DOES NOT COUNT TO ME!</strong> Because his past lacked any emotion and any sad feels, that I grew bored of and decided to diss his character even more. I hate his design, as well. The BlazBlue wiki states that it belongs to traditional shonen character, but <strong>NO!</strong> That design doesn't belong to a shonen character what-so-ever. I don't like his weapon either. Blood-scythe? Why not a sword, a dagger, or a weapon that doesn't have to more brutal than what he wields. It's so irritating to me!
</p>

<p>
	And what's worse, Ragna has all the interactions with the other characters that are<strong> DIFFERENT</strong> from him and from what the series to show BlazBlue as a cynical state, but a number of other characters <strong>CONTRADICT</strong> that! Worse, OC's aren't allowed to be related or develop close relations with the canon characters, and that it must be kept in a SUBTLE manner. That's just ridiculous because the fanbase sees Ragna as BlazBlue,<strong> EVEN THOUGH I DON'T SEE IT THAT WAY! </strong>
</p>

<p>
	W-Why...? Why did this character have to exist? <strong>WHY DID HE HAVE TO EXIST!?</strong> This character was completely unnecessary from start to finish! Instead, this red-jacket wearing turd shows us about what shonen is! The wiki states that, <strong>BUT I DISAGREE!</strong> Ragna is there is to be an absolute foil to shonen media, to give anime lovers the middle finger and there are people that truly hate Ragna. Here is proof!

	When Nightmare Edge (aka NE(1)) only hits once and the last hit is whiffed. The last hit causes a lower groundbounce that gives less advantage than the groundbounce caused by the descending hit.

	Considerably better advantage, allowing even to followup with a combo after NE. Also enables better oki options, like safejumps. Depending on the height and character (varies!) you can do something like dash 3C into a safejump.

	Somewhat, it's extremely easy on certain characters while others require very specific timings. But hey thats why this list has been made! However, even then trying it out on every character is necessary to get a feeling of it.

	First time poster, long time reader here. Not that I can grasp many things that you guys talk about, I'm very interested in all the discussions here. I was wondering if I could get a bit of advice from more experienced players. To briefly introduce myself and my history in fighting games, I'd consider myself a very basic player of BB. I used to play a lot of GGXXAC, but not to the point of being at all tournament quality. My main was HOS in that game, so it seems natural that I would be attracted to Ragna in this one. My style is high pressure offensive.

	This is a match of mine that I played last night. Unfortunately I do not have a capture card so I had to prop my laptop up on some books and point it at the TV. Also, because it's capturing audio from the onboard mic, you can hear other things from the room (like my 2 month old daughter!). Also, I am ranked 3 and the Nu was ranked 11.

I do enjoy watching long combos but in my experience with practice mode, the easiest high damage combo to do is a very basic: 5C, 5DD, 214B, 214D. It's easier to setup with 5B before the 5C, but that drops the damage output by at least 20% in total. I prefer less hit combos with more damage output. Flash &lt; Damage. 		<b>Summary</b>
	</div>
	<br>
	The main protagonist of BlazBlue, Ragna the Bloodedge is a basic, easy to learn character with simple but effective bread and butter combos. As an aggressive, rush-down character, Ragna has a distinct lack of fast, long range projectiles or other zoning tools and needs to force his way up close to do any real damage. Because of this, he can often experience difficulty with characters that excel at zoning. He is certainly not without range, however. Utilizing his amazing 5B, 5C and j.C, Ragna has all the tools he needs to catch his opponent out and then immediately close the distance with <em>Hell's Fang</em>.<br><br>
	Once Ragna gets his opponent near the corner, his damage potential increases considerably. For this, Ragna looks upon his major combo parts. <em>Mada owari ja nee zo</em>, a special that picks up a downed foe and slides them across the ground, wall sticking in the corner, and <em>Dead Spike</em>, a ground-traveling projectile with a lot of untechable time on air hit. When it's time to finish things up, Ragna can force the opponent back down with <em>Nightmare Edge</em>, an airborne attack that sends the opponent down to the ground and serves as a combo ender, granting Ragna a positional advantage and allowing him to continue his offense back on the ground.<br><br>
	Ragna's vitality is one of the lowest of the cast at only 10000, but fortunately he also possesses the means to keep his opponents off him. His ranged normals help to shut out opponents attempting to get within closer quarters, and when an opponent is pressuring you, Ragna can lash out with his invincible <em>Inferno Divider</em>.<br><br>
	Even if all else fails and Ragna loses some of what little life he has, this is partly compensated for by his unique Drive ability, <em>Soul Eater</em>, which steals some of the opponent's life force during certain attacks. As such, a tenacious Ragna is awarded for his offense with precious vitality, while a Ragna without momentum is quick to fall at the hands of his opponent.<br>

			<br><strong>Drive: Soul Eater</strong><br>
			Ragna steals some of the opponent's life on hit and block. All hits with the Soul Eater property steal a specific amount of life each; ignoring damage scaling, and that amount is increased during Over Drive. The amount of life you gain relative to the move's base lifesteal value is greatly altered as the combo continues. The modifier for lifesteal during combos<strong> </strong>is 100% for the first five hits, then +10% for each hit until 150%. 150% is the cap.<br><br><strong>Over Drive: Blood Kain Idea</strong><br>

			Ragna's Over Drive buffs the damage and lifesteal of all of his D normals and specials, as well as greatly increasing their untechable time, enabling combos and combo extensions not normally possible. Some D normals and specials are also augmented in other ways, such as 5D and 2D becoming dash cancelable, and <em>Dead Spike</em> gaining additional hits. As is typical with most Distortion Drives, Ragna's Distortion Drives are augmented during Over Drive as well, granting them additional hits for greater damage and lifesteal.<br><br><strong>Exceed Accel: Seed of Tartarus</strong><br>
