- She's better than you air-to-air</p><p>
- You can Vivace past presents to disarm them. She can 2A you if she sees it though so watch out for that</p><p>
- Her counter ([2]8C) can be grabbed. Anima will also beat it.</p><p>
- Said counter gets her out of the UB. To get around this, do a Vivace as you land on the ground; you'll roll past the dummy and 3D will hit her, allowing you a not-so-optimized follow up to the UB.</p><p>
- TK Swallow moon mixups isn't the safest thing she can do as those can easily be mashed out of.</p>

<p>Random notes:</p>
<p>- It seems like playing defensively is the way to go here: Izayoi is not very threatening without stocks and fortunately for us, it's very difficult for her to get stocks in this matchup</p>
<p>- Her projectile and her AAs seem to be her main way to get stocks. These moves won't give stock if she hits the doll, use Ada to absorb sonic sabre and don't do any rash IADs to keep her from gettign stocks via AA special</p>
<p>- She doesn't have any real 1f meterless reversals so provided that you set up oki right, she has to respect you pressure.</p>
<p>- Her reversal super normally pushes you too far back to punish but since her super doesn't come out until 6f after the super flash, you can Vivace right after the super flash to dodge the super and punish her.</p>

- If Relius doesn't have his doll, Carl can mash 5A out of his strings into Id Haas; 5B&gt;214A, 5B&gt;5C&gt;214A, and 5B&gt;3C&gt;214A are all unsafe strings when Ignis is not onscreen</p><p>
- If Relius does doll super and you're trapped, try to IB backdash. You'll get hit but you'll be hit in the air and since the doll's busy doing the punch super, Relius won't get a huge combo of this nor will he be able to get a knockdown, resulting in you air teching and avoiding the situation at the cost of a relatively small amount of life. Of course, if you're on the brink of death, you don't really have a choice but to take the mixup. In that case, watch for led ley crossups as well as Relius' more conventional mixups.</p><p>
- Remember that you can hit the doll to get it away form you. If Relius tries to zone with j.3/6/9D, tap the doll with j.A to make it disappear.</p>

Random notes:</p><p>

- This is an extremely neutral-focused matchup where both sides are offensive monsters with defensive shortcomings. The gameplan for both will be trying to zone the other out while figuring out how to get in. Expect longer matches that could potentially result in time-outs.</p><p>
- If Rachel does a pumpkin call near Ada, she can actually be punished for it depending on where she is. Use Brio and Tenerezza for air and ground punishes respectively.</p><p>
- Rachel has rather poor defensive options. Moves with grab properties (anima, cantabile, throw (duh)) beat her only "reversal".</p><p>
- If she knock you down and gets a setup, respect it on wakeup. Don't try to get cute with Vivace or backdash, most of the options in pressure can blow both of them up.</p><p>
- Counter assaults should be used with extremely caution in this match as Rachel can bait them very easily. Generally, counter assaulting while being locked down by George is rather risky. With that said, you can control Ada during counter assaults to make them semi-safe.</p><p>
- A Vivace is great for avoiding lobelias in this match in neutral and pressure. B Vivace shouldn't see as much usage in this match due to its recovery.</p><p>
- If Rachel uses TD and Ada is alive w/sufficient health, use her as a meatshield to avoid getting pinned down by Tempest Dahlia.</p><p>
- Try to avoid letting George touch you in neutral as it'll let Rachel get in for free. With that said, if you do block George for whatever reason, IB him (it's very easy!) for some free heat.</p><p>
- j.2C doesn't one-shot George anymore <img src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_frown.gif" alt=":("> Tenerezza does however <img src="https://www.forums.dustloop.com/uploads/emoticons/default_cool.gif" alt=":cool:"></p><p>
- Watch her wind meter during her pressure; it'll dictate the times she can IOH you as well as the reward she'll get off it.</p><p>
- Rachel combos often hurt more than they look like they should, especially when she has resources. Keep this in mind while getting comboed and deciding when to burst.</p><p>
- Ada can absorb lotuses as they fly towards you. She won't be able to do this for lotuses coming from behind though.</p>

- Spike chaser, despite its appearance, does not actually have foot attribute. As such, it can be rolled.</p>

- Ragna has long normals so if he uses them to hit Ada, it can be somewhat hard to punish. Cantabile can work as a "safe" punish but if you whiff this move, it's a free combo for Ragna</p>
<p>- Gaunlet hades 2nd hit will always whiff on crouchers for some reason; use a low to punish the 1st hit</p>

- Despite this matchup being in our favor, it only takes one mistake on Carl's part to cost him the round or even the match. Play this match carefully and don't take any unnecessary risks.</p><p>
- 360s beat Vivace crossups clean; don't get too happy with those.</p><p>
- Against Tagers who auto-pilot 5D into sledge, you can vivace to avoid those. It'll get beaten by 5D into delayed 360 however</p><p>
- Tager's AAs are good enough to stop Carl IADing recklessly towards him. Approach with Nirvana like you would in any other match.</p><p>
- If Tager has a spark bolt ready, you can hide behind Ada and use her as a shield from the spark bolt.  You'd have to "yomi" the spark bolt to shield it if you don't plan keeping Ada on the whole time but it makes spark bolt a bit less threatening.</p><p>
- Tager can time sledge hammer to armor through both hits of 4D</p>

- Overall, this match is about keeping Haz out while trying to corner him. His aerial mobility is pretty nuts so the neutral game can get crazy at times.</p><p>
- The key to playing a successful neutral game is to make him respect your air space; use Brio and 8D as needed to thwart his attempts to use the chains to get in.</p><p>
- Vivace does wonders against poorly-spaced chains</p><p>
- Haz has great AAs while your air normals suck; don't challenge him head-on</p><p>
- Hazama 3C into stance is a unsafe string, throw out a move when you see it. 3C into B stance follow up will beat that but it's not exactly a great pressure option in itself.</p><p>
- Houtenjin hurts. If he has meter, respect the fact that he has that option. 5B into 5C becomes unsafe since he can mash it out for a trade.</p>

- This matchup has sucked since CT. It's still in Haku's favor but it's gotten a bit better in CP at least.</p><p>
- 3C low profiles Haku 4C. With that said, 3C is really unsafe so this is not something you should rely on too much.</p><p>
- Anima beats counters and yields high reward if it lands. Use it in this matchup for safe mixups + pressure.</p><p>
- Throws also beat counters.</p><p>
- Hotaru can be low profiled by 2B. This works nicely with 2D for a Hotaru-proof UB setup. Watch out for counters though.</p><p>
- Agito da gawd. Don't try to AA it, you won't ever win against this move. Block Agito and then use Vivace to avoid j.B if they go for it.</p><p>
- Haku does not have a 1f 6D anymore. If you can something get him to not roll on your wakeup, meaty 2D is an oki option can Haku cannot disrespect.</p><p>
- Hakumen's counters (D and Yukikaze) are beaten by fully charged 6C.</p>
