Sontawila Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Hello all, I am new here and trying to get a grasp of GGXrd mechanics. I seem to be progressing ok but still struggling on one aspect of the game: executing ground hit then jump cancel/high jump cancel to air dash for extended combos. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bedHBjXoDI at the 4:55 mark. I'm trying to do for IAD but I always find myself jumping only after HS. and the same goes for normal jump IAD after ground hit. Any advise?
mAceOfHearts Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Not a whole lot to say. The timing's pretty strict. That's all there is to it. Make sure you don't input the 66 too soon, I guess. Really, you just need to practise. IAD combos are generally some of the most difficult combos in ASW games.
heavymetalmixer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Maybe I don't know well how is in your case, because I use Millia and not I-no, but compared to other games, IADs in ASW games are very easy. Something that works for me (in pad), is pressing 9 and pressing hard the 6, that way the system doesn't get it as another 9 but as the real 6.
Dis_Z Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 For that challenge with I-no you have to buffer a super jump during the s.hs then IAD j.k. It is a character specific thing as well on some of the cast. Will take quite a bit of practice to get used to it. ex: ( ) :f:
