(I know I do) Im the opposite, I would rather a UMD never be in my tray. Then again I like to never have my psp charging so it makes sense that I would choose the route that uses less battery.

Anyway I am apparently playing D and D 3.5 tomorrow and I need to figure out the most broken character I can make sticking to the basics aka Player's Handbook, DM Guide, and Monster Manual.

Well if you do play 3, I would go human monk. If you play 3.5 then I would go Word or Wish... but that's not an option for you, so go fighter and stick with longswords. So how come whenever Austin throws a tournament, a bunch of Houstonians go support (we actually encourage our players to go try other our-of-town tournaments) but when there's a Houston tournament, only 1 (maybe 2) come from Austin? I think since Aufo opened, I have seen at most 3 people here at one time. Ranma told Pali and his crew to go to Austin to see try to see where they stand in SF4, I know Winchester, Jan, Kensou, etc etc are all going. Even players who know they wont win are going. Why dont they do the same for Houston? Usually Pozer shows up cos he knows he has a good chance at winning, but he never brings friends, or others with him. Comments pls? Honestly, what Face said was basically true. The only reason I even hear about tournaments at PZ is because of Jan. Because of no official notice on say a site like SRK, then it's close to impossible to bring in more people. Why do they expect more support from Austin, when they are closed off from a site like SRK and carry such a bad rep? So, there goes any chance of ANY out of town people hitting up Houston. Hell, we even have AIM chat logs of PZ John insulting some of my friends from attending any tournament events to PZ. And having his closing statement as "Well, your just one customer". Well, guess what, you turned away a lot of "one customers", thus the end result is such. Only about 1 or 2 people ever show up to PZ events from Austin. Bottom line: PZ's rep scares customers away. cuz only pozer reads mashharder No I don't. In general, PZ can be rather shady at times, and people seem to like the community that Austin has to offer. So it's just not the Arcade that people like.

I would think we would hear more about their tourneys but really just like you said the whole SRK ban makes it so hard to know whats even going on three hours away. It really seems like they don't care anyway.

The only times I've ever heard about a PZ tourny is when you mention it. Even then though, the bad rep that PZ carries really deters me and others from going and checking it out. Like Austin I had no idea that there was a SF4 SBO qual at PZ, but being banned from SRK really limits the ability to get this information out. Whatever though, Austin > Houston

They shafted people out of prizes, I think some winners were even from out of country so SRK said until you pay them no more tournaments from PZ will be posted.

Thank god they on the other side of Houston from me. basically the management has been known to be a little shady its not a reason to hate the scene or the people, just be wary of it when you're there I'm thankful we have an arcade with the game selection they have, and I've met good players there and had good games there
