Friends of mine tried to get word in to the staff at Brians, but they won't even bother to listen, since the manager there is a grade A retard. For some reason, they even jacked the coin count up to THREE instead of two. I had to ask the tech to drop it back to two.

I know at Funworks in Ala Moana one of the employees was supposedly pushing really hard for BlazBlue, but wasn't able to get any good footholds on it...or even his foot in the door I think...

So that attempt died away too.

RANDOM MB stuffs:

- Any chance of a 808 thread revival on Melty Bread, even though you and I would probably be the only people active in that topic? lol.

- What's your outlook on MBAA:CC stuffs in general? Mainly any changes to Aoko since we both use her.

- I play MBAA every once in a while to practice combos and stuff. Somewhat looking for another char to add to my roster.

I could probably bump it back up, asking to see if anyone new is present there (I wish.)

If we could find some place to hold a gathering for it, I'd be down for some action.

It's an opinion just based on what we gathered, and the fact that the times we went to Brians, no one was playing the CT machine. The thing is, if it was pushed and we did get a CS cabinet, would the arcades get more attention from BB players? Or would it be kind of left on the side, played heavily upon getting it and eventually the hype would die down? and would that be a waste of their investment for one? Like a mention before, you said "The people who do play it don't really push for it since we all play it as a side game". So maybe if the BB scene was serious or big, at least one place would consider getting it if it was pushed enough. Because in the end it's business to them.

It's not that we don't get out and know how big the scene of BB really is in Hawaii and this was never a case of "no one plays BB in Hawaii". To make that assumption is stupid. But it just seems that in the terms of who takes it seriously or not, the scene is not that big, otherwise we would've seen a CS cabinet here before even we got into the game.

You say you honestly see yourself and your friends pushing for the game, but from how you just treated Solar, you're more than likely just going to chase away anybody who has the slightest interest in the BlazBlue scene. I mean, you and the people who do play it don't really push it because it's your side game, right?

If you are honestly interested and actually see yourself and your friends pushing for the game, then be more helpful if your locals are lost. If they can't find anybody, than you had better help them if you even got the balls to make the statement on honestly believing you'd push Blazblue to be played and to take it seriously.

I don't know much about building a scene... but are any of you guys interested in coming down to play casuals at PC Gamerz in Kaneohe? Last week http://om-g.net/ held a SSF4 team tourney, but also had a BBCS setup in the back where we played casuals. Although the next tourney will be held about a month later, you guys can come and play some BBCS casuals and chip in a few bucks for play time.

Well, there probably are some online BB players in Hawaii, but only a few of them actually post up in this thread, lol. And even then, it's a split playerbase between consoles. So far I see: 3 people w/ XBOX Live ID's and 4 people w/ PSN ID's. And even then, it's up to them whether they decide to add you and play you in online matches.

If you are looking for offline players though, you are in luck (somewhat) since you live on Oahu with a majority of the people that post up in this thread. Maybe if the other BB players are interested, you guys and girls can discuss the possibility for offline casuals, or something? That is, if there is interest and support, lol.

And before you ask: I don't play BB. LOL

You don't have to worry much about playing on a GG cab here in Hawaii, unless you want to play on the FUBAR GGXX cab that may still be at Mililani Fun Factory?. We play GGAC on PS2 when there are sessions. IMO, PS2 controller is easy to use (I use it) compared to the XBOX dpad, which is . Funny thing though is that I used to play #Reload on XBOX w/ the stock controller before using a PS2 controller adapter, lol. It just takes some practice is all.

And finally, which chars did you use when you played #Reload and which chars would you use if you were to play AC?

Went to Brian's today, had a few laughs, guy used Ragna against a Bang player who knew how to play...Ragna person was spinning the stick in circles and pressing buttons....I think he just got lucky with the ID and it's usually followups. Also used Nu and didn't use ANY of her swords, or maybe like 4D (not 4DD...4D)...and yeah, lost badly, was kinda funny actually.

Shigz beat me to it but long story short we wanted to play more blazblue and dagger_free (2 and out for MBAA) told me to get the scene going/hype.

My opinion on the 808 BB is that we need more people,find places to gather (have a few ideas), and be more informative so people know where the BB hype is at

I believe that if we can achieve these goals we can have a more competitive scene (tournaments and etc) going.

I really like air dasher's in general so bb is perfect to my tastes and why play BBCT when you can play BBCS *only played MB AND BB

Well I don't know what happened in the old pages but i feel like it was just bad communication between players which led to no competition.(I didn't know this thread existed ). some point b4 I thought people only played at HBB's lol

If BB was that much of a side game I don't think me, Shigz, and dagger_g would have payed for BBCT when it was at evo.
