RurouniLoneWolf Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 Quick round up of the most noteworthy arcade footage this month I posted elsewhere. There's some Takahiro Es footage in this 12/9/3026 Tachikawa Random 2v2 at around the 5 minute mark. He fights Kasugai, Mizuki and Giketomato in this Tachikawa http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30198284 There's the end of a match with Takahiro at the beginning of this archive and at 1:35:00ish there's an FT5 with Wafuta (Es) vs Maririn (Ragna)https://www.twitch.tv/central804/v/106970171 12/16/2016 Tachikawa. More Takahiro Es footage. This week he fought Ryuusei (Carl) and Bibibi (Plat)http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30241166 Last week's Tachikawa with Takahiro Es (He ranked up again ^,^) This week's Tachikawa was a 2on2. He was partenered with Takeyama Makoto and ended up fighting Kasugai Kokonoe (10:40), Giketomato Arakune (20:45) and Ryuusei Carl (27:41). The match with Ryuusei was a close one. One intersting thing he was trying out in the Carl MU this week was that he was trying to use Enchanted 214C > 214C on Nirvana in Neutral since the hits have a giant hitbox that's hard for her to avoid if she's active on the screen and all three hits together kill half of Nirvana's Health.http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30287921 More Takahiro Footage from yesterday's central stream. There's the end of a casual match against Shino's Nine at the beginning of the archive and then at 1:45:25 he does an FT5 against Shino's Noel. It's a pretty close one. You should give it a watch. Also, he ranked up again.https://www.twitch.tv/central804/v/109915710
RurouniLoneWolf Posted December 29, 2016 Author Posted December 29, 2016 Some more Takahiro matches from last night's central stream https://www.twitch.tv/central804/v/110619450 1:36:35 Takahiro (Es) vs Giketomato (Arakune) 1:38:55 Takahiro (Es) vs Koreru (Izayoi) 1:43:00 Takahiro (Es) vs Unknown (Hakumen)
RurouniLoneWolf Posted December 30, 2016 Author Posted December 30, 2016 This week's Tachikawa just got uploaded on Nico by Koreru. Seems like it was a 3v3 this week to close off the year. There's a fewTakahiro matches http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30337147 11:00 Shino (Noel) vs Takahiro (Es) 12:58 Barell (Tager) vs Takahiro (Es) 15:49 Tetsu (Ragna0 vs Takahiro (Es)
RurouniLoneWolf Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 There was a FT5 with Takahiro in last night's central stream. Also, looks like he's ranked up to Hades rank again for the time being. https://www.twitch.tv/central804/v/111529365 1:37:33 Naaoni (Nine) vs Takahiro (Es) FT5
RurouniLoneWolf Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 Another week, another Tachikawa. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30383528 13:41 Takahiro (Es) vs Unknown (Hakumen)
RurouniLoneWolf Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 Central stream just ended an hour or two ago. There were 3 FT5s with Es players. Busy at the moment but I'll try and analyze it later and highlight some stuff. https://www.twitch.tv/central804/v/113532677 15:30 Ameyoshi (Es) vs a Fayaru (Taokaka) FT5 (Taokaka's exist! :O ) 41:50 Ameyoshi (Es) vs Rikkaze (Hibiki) FT5 1:06:00 Meister (Lambda) vs Takahiro (Es) FT5
RurouniLoneWolf Posted January 14, 2017 Author Posted January 14, 2017 More Takahiro footage in this week's Tachikawa. It was a Random 2v2 this week and Takahiro was paired with Momoiro (Mai). Momoiro cleaned up pretty nicely in the beginning of the video too. Be sure to check it out if you're interested. Might come back and analyze Takahiro's matches in a later post http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm30428870 13:40 Ryuusei (Carl) vs Takahiro (Es) 17:18 Unknown (Hakumen) vs Takahiro (Es) And now, some analysis of the Central FT5s since I said I'd do it Ameyoshi vs Fayaru Lots of good space control with Breunor in this FT5 to keep Taokaka's fast movements that can cover a lot of ground more limited. Combined with strategic use of jump up and jump back > air dash j.BB, he gave Fayaru a lot of reason to be cautious with his Taokaak's movements and pick and choose when he approached and how. However, it seems like Ameyoshi is still a bit rough around the edges in terms of executing his gameplan. His ground poke game was too weak. Too many 6B pokes into predictable Gawains getting blown up by 6A. He also wrecklessly used moves with large recovery in pressure when Fayaru had OD several times that led to him getting punished. Sometimes, he would use strange enders for combos as well. He seemed easily flustered when having to block too. He did a number of wakeup Griflets including ones where Fayaru wasn't close enough to pose any real danger. He also did wakeup Galahad a few times when he could've done Wakeup Griflet > RC instead, which would be much more safe and allow him to reverse momentum. In the end, he lost the FT5. His plan in neutral had a strong base but he made a number of key mistakes. But that's how things go when you're learning and improving Ameyoshi vs Rikkaze (Hibiki) Not much to say here. This FT5 went worse for Ameyoshi unfortunately. A lot of his weaknesses remained in this FT5 and proved to be his undoing more frequently. Again, too much use of 6B as a general poke. This time, it was also a problem because he would use it to anti-air in situations where the opponent had no need to commit to the jump in. As a result, there were times where Rikkaze would just use stuff like j.2D to beat it. One key moment in the match that kind of highlights Ameyoshi's current problems is at one point, he went for a 2C punish for a whiffed DP but didn't convert it into a combo. It could've won him the match too ;.; Shortly after he dropped his reversal Griflet > RC combo. He then proceeded to do a YOLO Galahad to try and end the round, followed by a YOLO Griflet when Rikkaze wasn't even close enough to be an immediate threat. Moral of the story is two folds here people. This is a pretty good example of how dropped combos can really cost you big so make sure you practice to minimize the chances of this happening. Also, when in high pressure situations like these where any hit will get you the win, you need to stay calm and make sure not to take actions that'll hang you. Well, I say that like it's an easy thing to do but it might be harder for some if you're the type that gets anxious easy. Meister vs Takahiro A quick set but good set. One thing you'll notice Takahiro do a lot in this matchup is use 236A > 236B against grounded Lambda. It has an interesting interaction with Lambda 5D. Lambda's 5D can beat the initial 236A if it travels long enough but most of the time, it'll cancel out with the 236A, allowing 236B to go past and hit Lambda. If Lambda does not use 5D, then you get the Cross Breunor Projectile, which is good too. Lambda can get around it though from the air with carefull timing though. Against Lambda specifically, I think this was a good idea because Lambda's reward on D swords is actually limited compared to Nu so the risks weren't as great. You also saw some nice air movement from Takahiro to get around Lambda's zoning tools. He did stuff like dash Super Jump to get over them and then would come down on the Lambda with falling j.C Another thing we saw Takahiro do was use of Palamedes and Galahad to try and blow up attemtps to use D normals or set up gravity seeds. It was hit or miss but it was good of him to occassionaly use it just to make sure Meister always had it on his mind that there was a risk that trying to zone could blow him up.
