Justice7541 Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 yes GGs sir, but you need to be more offensive, you be giving people way too much room to prance around. And we'll see who's taking who's cash in CS :P I play top tier so it's gotta be me.
Why-Disciple Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 So I trust at least one person has their copy of CS at this point? And yes, I'm for bringing back 3S. 2I doesn't have Q so it auto-fails for me, heheh.
Danny Schme Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Just be warned though, once BBCS hits stateside, almost all of my attention will be focused on CS so I take everybody's money with Lambda. Nope. You mean, when I take everyone's money with [insert Character name here] Free. yes GGs sir, but you need to be more offensive, you be giving people way too much room to prance around. So true. I blame it on the fact I play Sim in SSF4. I play top tier so it's gotta be me. Yep. So I trust at least one person has their copy of CS at this point? Crown has a copy but he doesn't frequent BG =/ Looks like we're stuck with bad laptop play while we wait for the US release.
kona Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Shit at least somebody had bad laptop play. I've placed CS like twice in my lifetime. All I know is I gotta shitload of grindan to do once it comes our way.

All I know is I gotta shitload of grindan to do once it comes our way. I've legit played it one more time than you, in that case. Needs more Platinum/Platina, guys. Free-est.
CrownEmpress Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 I'll be bringing BBCS this weekend for Stryfe's. If for some untold reason or act of god i can't make it, Mr. Biscuits from NY will also have a copy.
dm-mike Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Hey guys this is Mike from Digital Mayhem (The red haired guy). Me and Meg have REALLY been missing Digital Mayhem...The people, the enviroment and the fun. SO we decided to take a jump and open up one of our own. We are pretty much a few min's down the street from DM's old location. We have 16 HD TV's with 9 360's, 4 PS3's and 3 Wii's, we also have 10pc's but it's just the green PC's from old DM (We are planing on upgrading ASAP but we were really focusing on consoles for now). That is the ONLY thing from the old store we even replaced the monitors with all LCD's (I can post pics soon if you guys are interested). The pricing is MUCH cheaper then DM was AND we offer 50% off to anyone who brings their own setup. Now I know you have a new home at Vernon but if you guys are interested in possibly doing some events with us sometime let us know. We arent actually open yet but we will be having our grand opening on the 24th. We literally have TONS of deals and specials I'll post them all for the people interested sometime and like I said I can throw up some pic's if it's alowed here. If you guys have ANY questions feel free to let me know. Oh and...our website is not up yet but it will be up before the opening we really just have been focusing on getting the place nice and ready the opening. Mike P.S: I just want you all to know that this will be a store that will be constantly changing and growing. We want to hear what you want because what you want is what we want. This is not something were just diving into for money we just love gaming and always enjoyed the tournaments and even just chatting with people. P.S.S: The store's name is Hall of Gaming (a.k.a HoG!)
kona Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 What's good Mike? Glad to see you guys back in business. Anyways, I got a minor suggestion. You guys should get some CRT TVs as well, especially for the PS2 games we play as well. We like lagless gameplay.
Danny Schme Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 What's the "accepted" refresh rate for LCD monitors for tourneys use anyways? If there is a set standard, that is.
Fraga Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Welcome back to the scene! It's good that you're back Mike
NerdJosh Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 Hey Mike, I was a long time tournament goer for DM tournaments starting with Guilty Gear to SF4. I've currently moved to New York City but I'm part of a group TeamSpooky, you can check us out at teamspooky.com If you are planning to have any fighting game events please let me know. Hopefully we can work together and get a good North East show up with live streaming and what not. Would love to see what we can do man, hit me up on my email! JoshJodoin@gmail.com
Fraga Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Ok so I have some news for this coming Ranbat: - First off I will have BBCS at that point, so I will bring it and we can have casuals. The setback is I'm NOT bringing my PS3 (Hardware issues in the past when I did bring it) so can someone volunteer to bring a PS3 which will have BBCS all night? - Secondly, We will have Ranbats as normal for MB, GGAC, and SFIV. However, now I will have SET times as to when we start. Here is what I have for estimations on when we'll start each tournament: 8:30-9:00--MB 9:15-9:30--GGAC 10:00--SSFIV This way we're organized and we can have more casuals before BG closes down. Cause I get stressed as hell when we're running low on time and we still have matches to finish. - That being said, I'd also like to repost what the entry fees will be for each game: MB: $3 GGAC: $5 SSFIV: $5 Some of us keep forgetting what the price for admission was [i admit I forgot too sometimes], so this will now be the official pricing for each tournament. For MB it's Winner Takes All, GGAC will be varied depending on who joins, and SSFIV will be 80/20. - I will also have a Wonderful World setup for everyone to try. I encourage all who play GGAC to at least try 1 match of WW. It isn't forced, but I just encourage it. - This next one is for next Poverty Night: I'd like a list of games that people would be bringing so I can create the TM Format faster and sign-ups can be quicker. - Lastly, Mindgam3, fix my damn stick! hahaha
agp24 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Poverty Night? Hmm..... I vote we do AH, EFZ, WanWan, KoF(Any of em), and.... I unno. I'm bringing NGBC. Let's do that. xD Edit: How about KoF'98UM. I've got it for XBLA. Everybody but the bosses and the Riot of the Blood versions of Leona and Iori are tourney legal. Also, official tourney rules state that you can't use two versions of one character in tournament, but I think we should.... Simply because I play both Chrises. xD Oh, we should do BF too.... Hmm, now it's starting to get a little big. I am too ambitious.
CrownEmpress Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Guess I'll be bringing BBCS for ranbats and for casuals this Friday.
agp24 Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Awesome. >:P Maybe I can scrub out some more wins with Tager... or actually try to learn something. One of those.
Why-Disciple Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Wait, are we actually having ranbats in BBCS? Fraga, you still have my 3S copy right?
Fraga Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Wait, are we actually having ranbats in BBCS? Fraga, you still have my 3S copy right? Yep, it's safe in my Laptop bag
Nuclear Cheese Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 Ok so I have some news for this coming Ranbat: - Secondly, We will have Ranbats as normal for MB, GGAC, and SFIV. However, now I will have SET times as to when we start. Here is what I have for estimations on when we'll start each tournament: 8:30-9:00--MB 9:15-9:30--GGAC 10:00--SSFIV Fixed start times are a good idea. I am a bit concerned with the exact times, since if I have work on that day I usually don't arrive until around 9-9:30 (possibly even a bit later if I picking people up). But we'll see how it pans out ... - I will also have a Wonderful World setup for everyone to try. I encourage all who play GGAC to at least try 1 match of WW. It isn't forced, but I just encourage it. I second this. One warning, though: playing against me might be a frustrating first experience to the game, since I play a really silly keepaway character. - This next one is for next Poverty Night: I'd like a list of games that people would be bringing so I can create the TM Format faster and sign-ups can be quicker. Definitely want Wonderful World and Arcana Heart. I wouldn't mind Inuyasha and/or Senko no Ronde either ...
Fraga Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Well I did say they were estimations, so we can work with what we have and see how it can be better. If you show up a bit late it's not like I wont let you enter, but matches will have started. This Ranbat however I'll make some leeway to see when everyone arrives and work from there
Mystic Eyes Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 For a KOF game, I don't want 98' unlimited, why not 2002 UM? I'm more familiar with that one, there's more characters, and generally I just like it a hell of a lot more better.
agp24 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I don't own 02UM. Once it's out on XBL, I will. 98UM on the other hand is out on XBL, so it's easy for me to access. I'd be totally willing to do 02UM instead, if somebody can bring it. As for 98.... Athena has super Psycho Ball.
kona Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I have 2002UM on PS2 but it's not the Tougeki version. The XBL version will be the Tougeki version once it hits stateside. Also, Tales, there is an American 98UM for PS2 as well. You can get it for $10.50 on Amazon. Don't know how long the deal will last though.
agp24 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 I'm fine with my 360 version. Also, is there any way I could borrow the 02UM for poverty night?
CrownEmpress Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 For a KOF, has to be 02UM. Bigger cast, way more diverse. 98UM is just whoever mains Geese/Krauser the best and it's too damn slow for me. Also no K'
