[CS1] Makoto vs. Mu

Played a few with some Mu players, and it seems to be the same kind of approach you would use against Lambda if she gets to throw out steins. Best bet I've seen so far is to jump in and barrier block to bait DP and stop her from throwing out steins. Once those are out your options seem to be very limited.

Asteroid vision becomes a no go when steins are up. Her oki pressure is intense, so the fight goes really uphill once she gets you down. If you get a hit in right after she threw out some steins, you risk getting counter-hit out and lose a big chunk of your health.

Overall looks like a pretty even match to me so far. Whoever gets momentum going first can pressure on for the match point. Have not had much trouble with them. :8/:

Yes, Asteroid Vision is CH state throughout, until you cancel it into something (which still technically leaves you in CH state.) When I say throughout, I mean I went into practice mode, made Ragna throw standing jabs, did 214c, did nothing, got hit just before I landed, and it was still a CH. :/

Anyways, 214anything is a pretty bad idea in this match in general, unless you scare them enough to reset without too much hassle.

conditioning you opponent with 3Cs when they set steins is kinda good. usually yiour follow up combo even evades the steins shot. theyll soon start setting steins in the air and 214C~j2C will stop them easily. i havent been counter hitted much when going in with 214 moves in general though, even when mus on the ground. could just be luck though

214C into barrier is a godsend in this match up, use it. Also parrying her laser is good way to stop her rushdown and Oki for certain setups. If you know their the type to use 2C after 2B to jump cancel their blockstrings you can 3C for CH into 4-6k goodness.

Her Furu no Tsurugi is easily parryable too and pretty predictable.

Not sure but it's better to wait till they patch Makoto and Mu into the Arcade cabinet's or for me personally till I get a match with pulsr's Mu.

Going offtopic to answer your question, but some website had said that in September they'll hold a Loketest in Japan with the new Arcade cabinet. It will include not only Makoto and Mu, but Valkenhayn and Platinum as well.

However, I don't know if the info is fake or not.

Just one really helpful note, if you see a Mu trying cancel a unsafe move like 6C into a stein then jump cancel you can punish with BBS before they even finish setting it up.
