Hey, im new to the forum and getting back into Guilty Gear, Im just wondering what games in the series are worth it. Right now all ive got is X and X2 and trying to find out where to get the original... are there any others that are important to get the whole story?

Also on a side note, has the series pretty much ended? I havnt heard about any new games in a long time and heard that Isuka? kinda killed the series.

If I remember correctly, X+ is a JP only GG but has some nice story to it.

AC+ completes the story as well.

And Overture... meh... I still don't know what Daisuke wants of it :S

It didn't kill the series.

Blazblue did :kitty:

Get AC+

+1

For the story take the first GG and overture. They have nice story since they are not arcade games.

For actual gameplay take AC+...Overture is very good and deep, but not exactly a beat'em up.

And no, the story have not ended, Daisuke wanted to continue in the direction of overture (if you read some interview), but dunno if Arcsys wants...since the not excellent sales

Ya, Ishiwatari Daisuke has said several times he plans to complete the Guilty Gear series..... So we should get at least one more game that isn't Overture or Guilty Gear Gaiden.

I guess it depends what you want the games for. Are you following the story on console or just wanting to play Guilty Gear? I have all 7 just for the fun of switching them out and looking at the changes. #R and AC are the mainstays for me.

Skip Isuka. :)

All right thanks, i just want it mainly for the story.... i think the guilty gear world is fascinating.

Also What about this guilty gear judgement is that worth it or is it just a psp remake?

Crap made by unknow american house. Skip it.

Btw try also to get into the gameplay, it can be very fascinating once you're into.

Blade has a lot of translated stuff somewhere. I was under the impression some of the dialog was skipped for U.S. versions, but I'm probably wrong (ie: when boss I-no expresses how good A.B.A.'s taste is in husbands after expressing how big her "toy" is.....).

Like Fenrir Werwolf says, the gameplay is great, too. :)
