render Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I'm gonna go right out and say that after the Japanese PS2 release of GGXX Slash on April 13th, all subsequent Guilty Gear tournaments should be Slash, or they shouldn't happen at all. #R is a dead game when we kill it. Let's put it to rest and move on. Having a tournament be Slash only will give people the incentive to get off their asses and switch. There. My vote is for Slash. I'll be there for sure if it is.

On a side note, I think that's like the 3rd straight time Ruin lost to Chaotic Blue in the finals whenever both have met up against each other in the finals of any tourney... I'm sure they should have more than one TV and setups because not only are they planning a tourney for some form of GGXX, they're also planning to throw a Tekken 5 tournament... oh yeah now i remember. CB really owned him in that match, i think it was best out of 5 or 7? and ruin only won 1 match. it was a real beasting by CB hopefully they wont have all the TV's for tekken 5 and give gg only 1. cuz Tekken is the more Popular game out of the two.

Sounds good. I haven't seen any of you guys in ages so this'll be a good chance to get back in action. No competition up here is really gonna kill me at the tournaments for a long time to come.

Kbalch Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I'm not sure about the whole / vs. #R thing. If possible i'd opt to have both at the tourney and see what people sign up to play. That should be a good indicator of what people are interested in. I'd come and play both versions. Maybe im alone on this. I think I have a better chance beating people in #R but I wanna play Slash too.

SO im for having it be #R and after the tourney we can play slash for fun and practice. then tourney's after that should be / since it will have plenty of time for everyone to practice and get use to new changes.
hatorri hanzo Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 i talked to the guy that fixes the games at camalot. i asked him if they were going to get guilty gear slash and he said that he told his boss about the game and that it was his boss's decision if they got the game or not. later saying "thats business for ya" what ever that means. so i guess it's up to his boss whether or not camalot gets it. it will prolly be a while, if they even get it at all. at least he asked the big boss if they could get the game. moving in the right direction i guess. now to see how long it takes

I live in Camarillo, and am willing to drive 30-45 minutes in any direction. My friends and I would love to find some competition, but our only locations are FFA (but that has GGXX) and Interface (where no one goes). If anyone who is down for meeting up could leave a message, that'd be cool, or even better, maybe meet up at Interface on Friday or something. We only have two sticks (crappy ones, but we'll manage) and #R on PC, btw.
