I thought I paid everybody and figured it was just left over from change-making that I didn't calculate in my head. You guys know very well I pay out within ten minutes of an event closing, if you didn't get your prize, it needs to be brought to my attention. Of course, it's still my fault, being the TO, and I apologize. I'll hit you back on the 27th, Astaroth. You know I will. If you -need- it, I can Paypal it to you. I'm a little disappointed in the people that didn't show and didn't tell me they weren't going to be there, making me look like a fool when I had a shortage of players with no explanation and no time to hustle my scrub friends into coming to make up for it- especially after the clamor to push it back because you all wanted to watch EVO. I'm still jacked up on Diet Mountain Dew, so I might as well go ahead and do shoutouts since I'm not going to sleep any time soon. Milln- Even though the turnout wasn't great, I still thoroughly enjoyed having a [ATTACH]471[/ATTACH] tournament. I've never participated in any tournaments aside from the usual brackets, and it feels really good to say I played everyone who showed up. Fine tournaments as always, organized by a fine fellow. The casuals we got in were definitely worth it to me, though I'm sure I had an advantage being so warmed up. It was cool hanging out and chatting at IHOP- it only reinforces the fact that we need to have more get-togethers for not-tourneys. You're still a serious contender for first place in these Blazblue tourneys, so be sure to stay in practice and do what you can before next tourney. I don't wanna taste any salt for when we play in the next MTN. :] Star- Dang Star, I can't believe you did so well with the 360 controller. I know you wish you could have played with the PS3 controller, and I wish you could too- but I know you did better with a 360 controller than most of us would have done with the PS3 controller. :P But hey, if you think you could settle for a PS2 to 360/PS3 adapter (PS2 controllers are basically the same as PS3 anyway) you can get one from this ebay seller for $8 shipped. Doesn't seem like a bad deal. In any case, hope to see you next tourney using a PS-something controller. :D Guy whose name starts with a V that isn't Volpe- Damn it, we spent a good time of the tourney talking and I can't remember your name for some reason. Just keep in mind that these tournaments are NOT about entering for the money, nor are they worth skipping out on if you feel like you wouldn't win anything. Milln organizes these tournaments to give us a medium of unity, and skipping out on it "because you don't feel like it today" or whatever just isn't okay in my book. Don't get me wrong- I understand that stuff comes up, and if you can't make it you just can't make it. I've missed before too. Just... Keep in mind the word "community" has the word "unity" in it for a reason.

Good luck in Knoxville, I imagine you're moving to go to UTK. I know the drive from Knoxville to Nashville probably seems like way too much in gas money and time driving, but if you could make the drive to Cookeville, I'd be willing to drive you the rest of the way for MTNs. :] EDIT: Oh yeah, this may be irrelevant, but I have an online friend who plays fighting games (including Blazblue) who lives in Knoxville. I haven't talked with him much so I don't know his real name and whatnot, but his Gamertag is Red R0ck Candy. I can see about pointing you out to him for some local competition if you'd like. Klein Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Yeah, Sorry I missed it guys, but I've been 1: horribly burnt out on fighters in general and taking a break, frankly the only thing keeping me considering staying with BB is MTNG. And 2: I've been in driver's ed 9 hours a day all week, so my time and attention has been pretty well divided. On the other hand, if I can get a ride (I'll actually ask about it this time) I'll try to make it out, even if only to hang out.
