Title, basically.

I've been lurking around this forum for about a week, and there's only so much regarding GGXX#R. Until I'm able to purchase GGXXAC, which would be in about a month, I'm stuck playing Reload. My worry is if I'm wasting time since it's on PC and there's no online feature for it, so I can't seriously improve save for practicing combos, FRCs, et al. If Reload is dead, then there's little reason aside from practice for me to continue playing and studying it, while if there's still people avidly playing it like myself, I would continue what I'm doing now: studying and practicing daily.

Basic question from that paragraph: Is GGXX#R dead--has everyone moved onto AC?

Most people have moved on to AC, but there are still people who play #R online. Speaking of which, there is online play for #R for the PC. Check the online play forum -- you should be able to find details and how to set it up there.

If you're playing #reload, it will only improve your skills in other fighting games. Just playing the game in general will get your muscle memory to remember the inputs and you will enhance your execution of playing fighting games, whether your are using shoto or charging based characters.

You'll kind of be playing hyperfighting *champion edition while the rest of us will be playing super turbo... the similarities between these games is that most, if not all of the special moves have the same input, with only the combos being different (and with the addition of new characters).

What I'm saying is, i played #reload online a lot, and I know others have too, and it was a great opportunity to continue to find competition in GG because of the lack of offline competition.

Keep gaming bro, gg is the hardest shit.

There is online, and I wouldnt say its a complete waste. Your fundamentals will grow, and you will get used to the way your character acts in general. The move from #R ky to AC ky wasnt too tough for me, but I didn't really start to get tourny viable as him until AC anyways
