I suppose anyone could make a tourney at their local scene. As far as this game ever making it to something like EVO it would probably just be a fan bringing the game and setting it up for sideline casuals. The DevTeam don't have any plans right now of doing anything themselves, or promoting the game at huge tourneys. They don't need anything bringing attention to Hasbro.

Even though she is no longer the project lead for the show I believe she still consults and that would mean she could have passed on the word that Fighting is Magic is in the works. Then there is the fact that big toy corporations have entire divisions dedicated to searching the internet about their own products fan community. Helps out with the target marketing.
