Kaya pwede mag pa tourney kung trip naten (request ng AME eh P4U) -Kailangan ng funds para sa booth, 6k. Kung game tayo eh need ng donors, kausapin ko muna si Hesus para mag donate. Kung meron willing eh message nyo lang si ako. Post ko yun ibang updates pag nakuha ko na yun dimension ng tables at yun price ng extra materials.

While we wait for Jesus to give us blessings, there's this gyudon(beef bowl) eating contest at Yoshinoya at the moment that might interest you guys. calendula Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 A-Ten-shun ~ fellow fraudulent and casual gamers ~ Bago ko gumawa ng lab letter sa UPAME na Go tayo, meron lang ako gusto malaman. -Kung game ba talaga tayo sa Feb 23 ? As of now -Walang Free Booth (Kailangan galing sa bulsa naten ahurr) -Tournament Booth currently canceled. (Prolly need ng AME matugunan yun demand kaya inalay nila yun space) -Di pa alam ang dimension ng tables nor cost ng extra supplies -Wala pa din akong gelprend at napag iwanan na ako ng mga kapatid ko at pamangkin. Syempre bago ako mag sabi sa mga organizers na tuloy tayo, gusto ko muna malaman ang opinion ng tropa. Alam ko na concern lang din saken si lolokoa kaya medyo alangan sya na tumuloy tayo sa AME. Totoo na hassle sya, pero kung game naman talaga tayo na sumali eh hehehe gagawan naten ng paraan yan. Yun lang mga koya ~ So yeh, kung game eh ilalakad ko ito, kung hinde eh pass na lang till Cosmania.

Im willing to contribute but I dont think we can raise that kind of money on such a short notice. We're plebeians right? XD Mark i dont want you to go all baws! and shoulder half of the rental fee like you always do. Go spend your money somewhere else. I suggest we let this pass. Better luck next time.

lolokoa Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) the thing about going all baws on a convention booth that it only for a short-term of period yeah we can advertise the game we play to a large number people but looking back on what happen after most convention... no one from those said convention ever really came or stick to our casuals and whatnot Seriously Name at least 5-10 people who had gone to a casual session who came from a con HARD MODE Name that are still going to a casual session who came from a con another thing is community is just gonna depend on that person to shell another wad of cash on every convention This is bad because we're not growing up as a community and always depending on that person for such events. A community is about helping each other to achieve a goal not by some Jesus also tournaments are not so good on a convention -We don't have our own time -ALOT harder to call people to their match -Cram space -possibility of people stealing stuffs also Lag time between the Finals and elims if ever the elims finish real early Probably the good thing about it is the stage event so yeah no one should sell stuffs unless its an just some extra you just happen to get my 2 internet cents cuz I'm poor in real life Edited February 4, 2013 by lolokoa

All I know is PCC is on March, BoA is on September and Cosmania will be on October. I'm not sure about Ozine as Otaku Expo will push through some other time and these 2 cons are different as far as I'm concerned. What makes Ame a bit better than the rest of these cons is that Ame concentrates on games rather than the usual con which is on anime/manga. If money's the issue then yes, we can hold another one next time. I do admit the booth space price is higher than the norm as Ame is just a one-day event. As for the advertising, it's harder to pull people in fighting games that are in the minority as compared to the more famous games. I guess we still need to continue adverising until we can only hope that the games we're offering gets a boost in popularity for people to stick with it. This is just my opinion tho. tl;dr if money's the problem then we can just save up for another con we can have a booth in. If it's something else then let's try to fix it. :3

I'd say Cosmania is a good option out of all of these. Ozinefest is an okay option too. Will leave up the deciding to you guys. I purposely left PCC out due to the location. We can't always be relying on someone with what we want to accomplish. I mean, that person also has a life and own financial budget allocation soo .. yeah, just putting that out there :3 Also, getting into cons, we need to gauge interest, parang konti lang din ata yung nagkaron ng interest about pushing through with ame so myeahh. Sayang though since gaming oriented sya. Really sorry I can't commit to donating this time around >.< I still believe na may sense yung pag punta sa mga con, kahit pa isa isa lang yung nagkakaron ng solid interest, it's better than nothing IMO. Bank -> paypal could be a problem since only Union Bank can do that. There's always the part we can open a bank account but it might become a hassle, leaving that to you guys. Paypal works as an e-purse for everyone and it can be quite convenient. 3. Salary raise and a heart of gold Wish I get a job soon. ;_; Job hunting is scary. --- Well before anything, we can first pick which con we want to attend, contact them for details regarding the package then we can all meet up prob at d-tier (rip akiba, the signs were all gone when I checked today) to decide what to do about it. Besides Ozine, the rest seem pretty far away giving us room to save up and plan and the like. Go go go? :D
