BeaverDeity Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 (edited) @Solar Well we also have to take into account who would be playing the matches atm, so it could be pretty much anybody commentating depending on who's available. But definitely yeah, team commentary is super awesome. :3 And thanks for the bracket Mystic D! Was wondering what everyone's names were xD Edit: How are the teams going to be decided for the team tournaments? Double Edit: Oh ok so it's random. Sounds great Edited September 13, 2011 by BeaverDeity

SolarMisae Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I need a big dose of "CALM THE FUCK DOWN" before going to tournies~ I have 0 patience. >> I end up eating for it though~
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I need a big dose of "CALM THE FUCK DOWN" before going to tournies~ I have 0 patience. >> I end up eating for it though~ IT'S OKAY SOLAR THE NERVES GO AWAY EVENTUALLY (not like I'm one to talk though lol) Also that was a nice casual session we had, got to practice a lot and stuff.

And I beat AkiraS just like you told me to. ;-; It was a straight victory too. After fighting your Ragna who is always in my face it was much easier to deal with him.
OrionXElite Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 If you need a quick "calm me down," nothing does the trick like a Midori Sour before you start :3 Helps my troll yomi work better :3
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. :3
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 If you need a quick "calm me down," nothing does the trick like a Midori Sour before you start :3 Helps my troll yomi work better :3 ^ @Solar yessssss my plan is working. That training will hopefully pay off at the doubles tournament this next Friday if you run into him. Dat matchup experience came in handy, glad to see that you won :D
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'm getting better! My defense is getting a bit more solid, a few times I just took more pressure than I had to just to practice sitting there and blocking (I'm sure you noticed that though.) Then sometimes I just tried zoning the whole time to see how long I could keep away. I'm also breaking throws more consistently. xD Except sometimes lol TRM all day everyday.
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Ha, I was wondering why you were letting me do all sorts of crazy crap that shouldn't have kept you pinned down xD But yeah your defense and zoning is definitely getting much better than when we first played which is awesome. Pretty soon you'll be blockin and teching everything :P And I hate playing Ragna against your Mu just because it's so annoying to get in on it without getting pegged for damage everywhere lol BUT MUST PERSEVERE
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Yeah, I find it's helpful to just sit and block things. Thats one of my problems, patience when defending....just focusing on blocking sometimes is helpful to try and get me in the right mindset, instead of just being my usual "GAH I MUST GTFO THIS RIGHT NOW" and end up trying to get out when I should have waited it out more. xD And yeah, that is exactly the way Ragna matchup is, make him curse his poor options for getting on on her. ^^
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Yeah, I'm sure that blocking experience will come in handy in the next tournaments to come Speaking of tournaments, I can't remember if the last Singles tournament results were posted here or not
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Nope, actually they were not. o.o; All we need to know is that Mystic won. Damn cat. xD
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Dat bowling ball xP I can't remember anyone out of the top three but I know that I got second and either Arvin or Dagger G got third. I can't remember which one since they both use Hakumen and are both good and I had to fight both of them right after the other x_x
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Arvin's Haku is indeed pretty good. Countering green bursts like a boss. I haven't seen enough of Dagger's Haku to know, come to think I don't think I've ever played against Dagger.
BeaverDeity Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 They're both really fearsome players. Dagger G has some really beastly defenses and knows how to punish a lot of stuff. Arvin has good defense too and amazing reaction time. It's good to see we have some nice Hakumen players in our scene x) iPoke needs to show us all how it's done though.
SolarMisae Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Yeah, I'm actually gonna go chill with him this Tuesday and spend a shitton of time in training with him and shove fundamentals into his earholes. x] We've been trying to find time to do it but never seem to, but this time FO SHO.
