If a decision can’t be reached, a coin flip will be used. After sides are decided, teams will be selected in a free-for-all style, and then the first game will begin. At the end of the first game, the loser will have the option to change sides as well as change team, team order and/or assists. The winner, however, has no choice in side and must keep the same team, order and assists that they won with for the next game. For each subsequent game, the same rules apply to the winner and loser of the previous game. At the end of the match, the winner will report the match results to a Hall of Gaming staff member. What version of the game will we be using? We will be using both the X-Box 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Marvel vs. Capcom 3. What will the game settings be? The game will be played with the following settings: Operation Mode: Normal Timer: 99 Damage: Medium Stage: Random Will arcade controllers (fight sticks) be allowed? Yes. You may also share them, but stick owners are by no means obligated to share. Nor will there be any provided to people who don’t own one. Hall of Gaming staff are also not liable for any theft, damage or destruction of personal equipment brought to the tournament. If you bring a fight stick, it is at your own risk. What about macros? No. What happens if each player has a different preference of console? We'll do our best to accommodate this if it happens, but if an amicable decision can't be reached, we'll use a coin flip. Will all characters be available? Yes. Each copy of the game will have its full, on-disc roster unlocked. (Excluding Shuma-Gorath and Jill Valentine) Will Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath be available? No. Are there any banned characters? Only Shuma-Gorath and Jill Valentine due to lack of DLC on certain consoles. Can we pause during the middle of a game? No. Doing so will result in a game forfeiture (loss) for whoever paused unless it was a judge or the director. Edited September 17, 2011 by HOG2010
