Really need help with this matchup. Bang's movement is so good so It's hard to keep him still to lock down. He gets a good get-in tool with the nails. He has great pressure that Carl is forced to block with no reversals. Great damage against low-HP Carl.

Well you should use a lot 8]D[, 4]D[, 623]D[ and j.A. Also play patiently, once you got him on CoN he doesn't have any good reversal to get out. Remember to bait his armor guard moves, and learn the setup for the unblockable loop that work against Bang, it isn't so hard to do. Once you being able to use it, Bang player will not rush at you without think it twice.

Keep in mind that in this match-up, cross-up moves like IAD j.2C Allecancel are more useful due to Bang wide hitbox.

Regarding Bang's nails, I find that Nirvana works as a great meatshield against the nails if she happens to be in front of you. If Nirvana happens to be unavailable and Bang throws out D nails, you can either dogde them by jumping to an area where the nails won't touch you or by using Vivace to roll past the nails and Bang. The latter option should be used with caution as it will be beat by low attacks.

That's how I deal with his nails and it's been working against most Netplay Bangs (lolnetplay) so far. I have no idea whether or not it's actually a legit tactic against a good Bang.

Well, the match up isn't so bad, because as stated above, Bang's hit box is generous to Carl mix-up. If the Bang player is jump happy, Brio is very effective as it puts him in a CH (counter hit) state, which means free combo or free corner carry. 8D is also effective because of the same reason. After he gets into FRKZ or whatever mode (all white) the match may seem like it got a little more difficult, but it really doesn't. Again as somebody posted before being patient in this matchup makes it seem a lot easier than what it appears to be. Brio completely stops his jump shenanigans and the only low move you should worry about his his sllide since it has a Fatal property now.

Well bangs pressure sorta ends @ 2B, if u IB 2B & jump he cant stop u.

Things to look out of

FRKZ its better to just busrt if they are going after seals. Its a pain to deal with 1hit = ~5K min 0 heat

Ashura: GDLK DD virtually unpunishable unless @ point blank range.

3c: Some bangs will just toss it out @ most distances its 100% safe

Fire punch: If u IB it 662B/5b will punish every time

Jc poison nail ender into CG a reset that does 3k 0 heat & 5k 50 heat DO NOT MASH TECH VS HIM U CAN/WILL BE RESETED

6a pressure If bang does 5a 6a xN if u do not IB u will get hit if u try to punish IB 6a & Back dash it beats all his options

Its also best to return to neutral make him waste as many nails as possible & Mash barrier vs him it makes him waste nails to get closer

Unless they do it really far, 3C is very punishable (-14 on block).

Hence the reason i said majority,, unless they misjudge the distance or are super free u cannot punish it

not having any problems so far facing Bang in EX.

-always manage to lure him to do air dash and punish with 2C and vivace to CON.

-bang 5D can be punish after a certain 5A 5A to 3C or 6B.

-2D can be punish with 3C or just bait it from air with bounce 2C to CON.

-Bang 3C can be punish by IAD 2C allecan to 5C, or just do 5C upon impact or 2B upon impact.

Bang got universal hitbox, and its very generous for hit confirming, perfect timing and frame studying will be important for punishing his move.

just stay away from your back to the wall as much as possible.
