Her best tools: 6B, Itsuu, shishidenpa, 5D pokes, & 6D[staff] Litchi has all the anti zoning tools in the world & all are very dangerous on CH. Her main job is to use the staff to keep Ada at bay. By hitting u with 5D from max distance if its a counter Air hit u just lost 3k & u are it the corner. However the best part of this is that her DD Oki is 100% useless in this fight. So thats a plus, bad news good luck catching her. Her ability to retreat while simultaneously attacking to insure u dont follow. Lead Ada towards her but do not try to attack litchi 6C & 6B will stuff any attempt @ u trying to come in instead walk directly behind Ada & bait Litchi's 6B & 6C. Turn ada off as ur about to jump so litchi's move misses giving u time to punish her. Alway keep the life lead catching her is almost as difficult as catching Tao this match only goes as fast as litchi wants it.

An once again if a person has a Dp i assume it natural to be aware of it. But i thankyou for mentioning it. Cause good litchis dont Dp that often for they are aware of the BS they would have to bloke if they are staffless. Most good litchis will conserve the heat they would have used for 13orphanes oki & use it to CA, use this over respect to ur advantage.
Psykotik Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) You make good points, Akira, but I don't think that you should categorize most good Litchi's as "respectful" just because many don't DP often. Other factors to consider are their familiarity (or lack thereof) with the match-up as well as their own personal quirks, both of which can be difficult to judge. As any case, you should at least be prepared/have a game plan for DP-happy Litchis, especially for those for know the match-up well and know how to identify shoddy (relatively speaking) pressure strings from Carl and as such, when to be disrepectful. Granted, it's about as common as a 4-bar netplay connection but my case still stands. EDIT: Ignore me, I just realized how much I'm over-analyzing this. Bait and punish ftw. When you bait that move, you just only need to do 6B and whoala!, that bitch now is in CH state and you can get a free 5K-6K combo with j2.C~Allecancel, volante and 4 ]D[ combo. When you knock her down, just throw 3]D[ or Volante and alternate whit a Barrier Jump or jump attack. If she throw a DP, just land a use 6B. What you really have to worried about her, is her oki. Her oki is pretty good, once she pin you, you just can´t escape easily. Vivance will beaten easily from almost any Lichi staff or staffless normal. Keep in mind, that IAD j2.C~Allecancel don't bait her DP, so if you do that and the China bitch throw DP, her DP will win. Also, focus on the issue that Lichi have the faster jump in the game with 3 Frame. That mean, when she find a gap is very probably that she will jump, so use a lot Brio or 8]D[. In this match-up, Rocket Jump will be very usefull to try to pin her. If you manage to get her in CoN when she is staffless, you will win. In that situation, even normals UB like 6B+2]D[ will work amazingly well.
Narcastic Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 *taking notes thanks a lot, now I can improve my match up against litchi, coz until now, I'm having quite difficulties against her and her boyfriend (arakune). like I said before, when I bait, I always get hit by 2C rather than DP >.<, or when they DP when I'm having sure hit and throw that stick around so I cant go for follow up...., I feel so suck T_T
