Ventus Tatshima Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I was playing AC on my ps3 i was in training with Dizzy and Anji i was trying input the 632146 S and so on everytime i do the motion it won't register. are other players having problems with this or is it just human error on my end?
InWithTheAshes Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Are you using pad? There were some errors with diagonals on pad concerning the port. That may have just been on 360 though (I experienced it myself when I played pad).
Ventus Tatshima Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 i was curious 'cause it happens on my dualshock. it's pain because i have to rotate the analog stick or move my fingers on pad super fast and mash crap out. i hate to do that especially in a combo
Ctrlaltwtf Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 I have problems with that motion on Vita in +R as well. It's a bit easier on the analog stick but it's still way harder than the rest of the things I input all the time for some reason.
Circuitous Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 ...turn on inputs in training mode and see what you're missing. Might just have to break in your d-pad?
White Man Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I've noticed GG tends to be really strict with diagonal inputs, especially with half-circle motions. Get used to the feeling of drawing that full half-circle with your thumb, making sure you go all the way back before moving the pad straight across so you don't input 63216 or miss a diagonal and wind up with 62146 or something. The timing on the button press can be a little tricky as well. Trying holding 6 while you press S, or hitting S a tiny bit early so the command looks like 63214S6.
TonyOrtiz Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I use a pad on 360 and a little trick I use for those types of inputs is to do a half circle forward after the half circle back. You have to do it quite fast but the game doesn't really seem to mind if you input more directions in between the motions as long as you get to forward quickly enough. What was happening to me was I was occasionally getting up forward instead of forward so now I do this and as long as you hit all the directions on the qcb and at least forward quick enough without jumping you should be good. I had to come up with something because I play slayer and I was having big problems trying to punish with DoT.
