Suds Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I don't know if anyone here uses emulators, but the GG games that do have actual PC versions are Isuka and X2 Reload. Anyway, I was wondering what your control setup for these would be? I find the default ones kinda hard to use
reaVer Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 My setup used to be wsad for directions and j = P u = K i = S o = H l = D, then 8 was respect and 1 was start.
j_xker Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It depends on your hands size and habit, I used L < > ? and numpad : 4568 - 7 - 0 (HS S K P - D - PKS ). This is a short demonstration of what you could do with keyboard from my guild, pretty old stuff though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWgMXwGCMsM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KER4RlxnHf4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lczyEkml1AA
Xorph3u5 Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) Uh this is kinda weird, i actually have a hard copy of the game (X2Reloaded). That for some reason wont read my Hori RAP EX Xbox stick, I went into the config and tried all the different types of up down left right types the config folder options offer, and it works in the menus but not when trying to control or select the character, at that point I get nothing. I did turn analog on. Edited May 30, 2013 by Xorph3u5
j_xker Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 @Xorpheus : If you're talking about the PC version then yes, sometimes it's really weird. I also had problem with my stick back then, everything works in configuration but not inside the game .___.
bojack Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Motioninjoy + PS3 controller (wireless) You could probably get one of those street fighter fight pads for @ $10 and get drivers that'll work on the PC. I also have a PS2 -> X360 converter that works on my PC. I can barely play street fighter on a keyboard, I can barely imagine the horrors of playing GG on a keyboard...
j_xker Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I can barely play street fighter on a keyboard, I can barely imagine the horrors of playing GG on a keyboard... The three videos I posted above were all performed on keyboard. As a player who went through different types of controller : keyboard/stick/pad/hitbox, I think actually it's much easier to execute techniques like dash/instant airdash, jump install/ super jump and shoryuken on keyboard than with stick and pads( of course, with practice). The only disadvantage of keyboard is the negative edge/ multiple buttons holding, but as long as you're not eddie player, it's fine. Another quite difficult technique to perform on keyboard is super jump install but it's not that useful, except for Axl in R# lol. That's why for me hitbox seems to be the best choice.
