dontuel Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 thats why its so awesome...but when i first found it and shot stormlocke an aim he knew what i meant immediately.
iora Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 no i got it in my mind sounds like teh worst waste of 75%+ tension though cant imagine it cracking 200 damage even if you dump in some L2 missiles .....unless you man up, det mode it.... maybe 5hFRC-2hFRC-5hFRC-jump into air bnb-FB-explode? some shit like that? lol... i mean, style points...but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN i can think of much better uses of 75%+ tension that dont involve starting with 5h ...just sayin lol (actually, just thought about it... if you gold burst, could ya FB a instant j.s, then go into 5h yada yada yada dontuel? 100% tension combo it lol?)
JackG Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Hey guys, I don't know if you guys are familiar with SE-R but in 2 weeks from this weekend, and for those that don't know it's basically just a whole weekend of nothing but gear on tons of setups, playing mad casuals with peeps from all around the U.S. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4878 - thread I was just seeing if anyone here was planning on attending, repping the good Robot with me. There's a same character 3v3 tournament, so the more of you guys who can go the better ^_^ Believe me, it's awesome
ShibuyaX Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 the combo could be practical if it is going to kill them though i suppose.....
dontuel Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 For future reference, when i start something with "most awesomest" its not to be taken too seriously..
iora Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 finally got it! did my first 5h frc combo off 2s, my first 5h frc combo off L3 horse, and my first 2x 5h frc combo wasnt even playin gg for a while either, just hit up training and got it somehow lol ill blame ggpo alpha 3 lol
ShibuyaX Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 congrats iora!!!!! i like the 5hs frc alot....btw what air combo did you use the jk,js,jk dust? or did you start it with js? Also you can do horsie, 5s, 5hs frc to combo as well But now that you can do the horsie 5hs frc i bet you will be winning more matches lol!!!!!!!!!
iora Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 i was messin around with a few to figure out which i liked best, was doin js jh missiles i think to get my heat up though let you know what i decide on when i do
jcyl29 Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 damn that combo is hard. i cannot hit the 5h frc after the 2h frc, they just get pushed too high in the air
vedasisme Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I've been looking at the recent Dogura vids on Youtube, and it looks like he's on a losing streak...are there vids of the 3v3 same character battles yet?
ShibuyaX Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 yeah robo-ky kinda sucks thats why lol....
iora Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 question situation, just enough tension to frc (so 25-35%) 2s-5h frc-2h-mat..... that smart to do? get some damage in while setting up for tension gains? or should i just transfer into air combo ending in a j.h?
Spark Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 You used a FRC in a combo before laying a mat. So you wouldn't get any tension from the mat for a bit.
Zeero Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 probably 1 bar max (if you're lucky) heres what i found out after an FRC, if i land a robo dash, i only gain 2-3 bars so... you decide
iora Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 o ya, frc's stop tension gain for a few seconds i really should stop ignoring that fact, thanks for the help guys lol
Dr. Stormlocke Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 His Force Break does too, pretty lame.
Doomscyther Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 y do people still play robo ky, he so broken.
ShibuyaX Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 yeah go for the combo iora.....if you wanted tension u should lay the mat after the 2s right?? now for a question...the robo ky multi missile combos (you know the ones where you get like 3 missiles in a row on an air combo) is it based on heat to get more hits or just very situational??
Chomite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Those combos become available if you are 1) close to corner 2) Opponent is slightly above you or below you (below preferred) 3) Under 50% tension LV2 Missile loops are not based on heats or hits...Although they do generate tons of heat so make sure you don't overheat doing the loop. Below 50% tension is self-explanatory becuase you can't loop with lv3 missiles (Although you can start loop with LV3 like Dust, j.S, LV3 Missile, jc.S, LV2 Missile x N).
ShibuyaX Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 lol ohhh so you cant do it with lvl 3 missles!!!!!!!!!! and i thought i was a good robo ky player
Chomite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 ^ Glad to help fellow Robo player out. Go out and have fun dizzying people now.
Chomite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Oh While we were talking about tension gain becoming shit...It's actually 20% of what you would get normally for ~4 seconds or so. May not seem like a lot but it does bother me especially after DAA because I need tension to do anything while go on offense..
Spark Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 You can start a loop with lvl 3 missiles like in the corner 2s 5hs frc 5hs frc j.hs lvl 3 missile then 4 lvl 2 missiles. The timing is a little awkward. Also for some characters there are some set ups where you can hit 2 lvl 3 missiles in a row. I don't think I've ever gotten 3 in a row, but it might be possible.
Chomite Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I wish that Robo forum has gimmicks/tricks thread like Slayer's :3
