i don't see how all of you guys aren't hype as fuck for this game, especially since it's basically become guilty gear in 3d.

- heavy metal soundtrack? check.

- androgynous males? check.

- annoying chinese women? check.

- token black guy and blonde american? check.

- crazy, anime inspired costumes? check.

- overpowered fat guys? check.

- crazy damage combos that everyone bitches about? check.

- coming to consoles? we can only hope :8/:.

i thought the word on consoles was 360 AND PS3? I'm as hyped as I've ever been for VF, it's hard enough to play that I won't take it seriously but it's fun enough that I'll play it.

ps3 currently has vf5 version b while 360 has version c online. vf5r isn't just an update, it's an entire overhaul to the current engine and a completely different game. there isn't a confirmed console port yet, but most speculation is leaning towards ps3 exclusive with online via vf.net.

i think eileen has remained more or less unchanged, save for a few new throws. there's a full command list here.

i guess even though jacky was somewhat nerfed (6P is now easier to counter, 1P has longer startup now, even shittier P+G) that a jacky main swept the sbo finals this year, which makes me happy.

also, i guess sabaki's have been somewhat beefed up, as most jean players seem to be exploiting them rather generously. hard to say anything for sure though without actually having played it yet.

Jacky's my main. I'm not too worried. AM2 has been doing great balance for quite some time now. So if there's one company I have faith in with balance it's them. I'm happy there's a VF5:R but I'm not hyped unless there's a PS3 port like with VF4:FT. I really want to play Jean. Gimme some time. I'll find some vids.

Too bad I barely know anything about 3d fighters, let alone VF.

honestly, i prefer vf over everything. most other 3d fighters don't even compare (i say most because i'm sure theres one or two i don't know about) to vf in terms of technicality, option select and balance.

at the moment though, there's no confirmed console port yet, though myself and many others are leaning towards the prospect of it being ps3 exclusive with online play via vf.net. localization for the us is questionable though, since vf5 didn't turn a profit here at all. but, if it comes on ps3 in japan, we'll be fine.

its strange to see bunbunmaru play someone other than wolf. the walls are really dangerous to be near in r. i think people got tired of not really being able to punish opponents (like me) who sit there and guard/fuzzy/throw break all day but don't actually evade to the other side. well, now you can punish them. for 70%+.

loving the new 2P animation, and it seems to me like jacky's 6KG is easier to juggle with now (in vf5 ver c the timing for the G cancel was a 16 frame window, maybe it's more lenient now?).

actually, there's a similar glitch in vf3 regarding taka and shun's stage. maybe they were just paying homage.
