Sincerely, Sendego Delay the J.D a bit and then do 66 (Let go) 5B 3C 22C The key to this combo is to have the J.D delayed.
Sendego Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Delay the J.D a bit and then do 66 (Let go) 5B 3C 22C The key to this combo is to have the J.D delayed. Thanks for the tip . Hopefully I'll be able to land it now >.<
Beefywhale Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I've been trying to figure out this one combo from kaqn on a reverse grab. I know this isn't the vid review section, but I'm the only Ragna I know and I must rely on the Ragna community out there. The move starts at the 3:50 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ftAXZIAHCQ. It goes reverse grab gauntlet hades into a 5b 6a 9c and so on, but the part that is killing me is the second part of hades to the 5b. cant tell if there is a delay there or not. Thanks in advance
VR-Raiden Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Yeah, you delay the second part of GH. You always delay it whenever going for a relaunch after it in combos. edit: notice that combo is listed in the combo thread, with the delay 214D included.
Ree81 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I've noticed that a lot of youtube videos are from before the console version was released, making me believe they're slighty different revisions of the game. I swear I've seen some stuff that's impossible to pull off with Ragn in the console version of the game, and while I haven't tried it yet I don't think that backthrow combo will work either.
Final Ultima Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Ragna is unchanged from his Arcade counterpart. Unless you're watching loketest videos (any vid prior to November 2008), if you've seen it done, it's possible.
Beefywhale Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 The combo that I was asking about has already been verified to work.. I just didn't know the timing on it. The combo is listed under the combos thread. It just getting the darn thing to fire thats the hard part:vbang:
Ree81 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I realize now that maybe it's not doable under training mode as the AI techs at the soonest possible frame? In the video it's obviously a human, and I'm now pretty sure the AI techs earlier. Am I wrong?
Beefywhale Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Thats what I thought as well, but the trick to that combo is to delay the second hit of the GH as long as possible. This allows you the proper time to do your 5b into a 6a.
Ree81 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Alright, thanks. I always make sure to delay it, but I guess I never tried that perrrrrrrrticular combo.
Beefywhale Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I'm just starting to learn the character so I know all about the pain of timings. Just doing the same move over and over for what seems like forever
Xill Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 214C 214D 66 5B 5D (1Hit) 214C 214D 66 5B 623D 236C 236C So I have Dashes in there after 214C 214D but i'm not sure if that is really what they are doin'... Is it really possible to get a dash in that amount of time without making your 5B turn into a 6B? Or is there just some special way to do it? I'm only asking because I don't wanna spend 3 days in trainin' for hours trying to do something the wrong way. I've also seen what I believe is that 66-5B dash after 6D j.D to get a 3C 22C combo, or even things like (Corner) 5B 3C 22C 66 5A 5B 3C 22C Is it really just a Dash?
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Yes it really is. Quick double-tap of forward (you don't need to hold it), then return to neutral and tap B. Pretty easy.
Xill Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Yes it really is. Quick double-tap of forward (you don't need to hold it), then return to neutral and tap B. Pretty easy. Sweet. That makes everything a hell of a lot easier. I think B just became my perma-poke :P
sum1 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Help guys I'm starting to get bored of Ragna and I'm leaning more towards Rachel. What should I do to keep interested in our good ol' Ragna?
VR-Raiden Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Become a true Ragna fan? Resist the evil loli? I dunno, don't think anything I can say will change you're mind. just play who you feel like playing.
Yggjrasil Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Help guys I'm starting to get bored of Ragna and I'm leaning more towards Rachel. What should I do to keep interested in our good ol' Ragna? Just use both like i do.
Brave Hippo Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Help guys I'm starting to get bored of Ragna and I'm leaning more towards Rachel. What should I do to keep interested in our good ol' Ragna? Sometimes we reach a point in our life when what we used to care about isnt as important as we thought it would be. It happens to all of us. Growing out of our toys. Growing out of sucking our thumbs. Even growing out of our mains. If you want to play Rachel, go for it Johnny.
Bloodcrave Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Help guys I'm starting to get bored of Ragna and I'm leaning more towards Rachel. What should I do to keep interested in our good ol' Ragna? spam dark swallow and black onslaught
king of heart Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 What is the best combo after a successful anti-air 6A ? i found this one : B.K > hjD > jD > hjD > jD > hjC > jD > jcC > jD >I.D
sum1 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I thought about it, and it seems I am giving Ragna a temporary rest and start working on Rachel. I may main Rachel and sub Ragna or vice versa, but that depends on how far I can reach when I train with Rachel. The thing is I feel I understand Rachel more, and I am surprised that people say she is hard to learn. Now the question is, how hard is it to main both characters, and how efficient can one become with two compared to one?
VR-Raiden Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Someone explain this one to me. 623D.. then I land without following up with 214C and just do a 623C, then land again, delay and do a third infernal divider, then land again and do a 22C? He meant 236C, as in the add-ons to Inferno Divider. It should make sense now. Works when you aren't too close to the corner and on everyone but Taokaka, Jin, Rachel, and Carl. What is the best combo after a successful anti-air 6A well for no meter and non CH, 6A, 5D (DC), 6A, aircombo or just 6A, air combo If it's CH, CH 6A, 5B, 6A, 214B > delay 214D, 5B, 6A, air combo
Siefer Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I'm having trouble with Ragna's 22C enders in combos when they aren't on the ground, for example, after an ID or corner 5D. Does anyone have any tips on the timing or set-up of it? The few times I "pick them up", it doesn't register as a true combo (beat meter goes black). Thanks in advance.
VR-Raiden Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 From 5D just cancel the 2nd hit of it immediately into 22C. For ID, you need to do the first 236C as early as possible, and the last 236C as late as possible. Make sure you aren't too close to the corner for the ID one, when you time it right they should fall right next to you after the 236C ender to the ID. you grab them out of the air with it, don't wait for them to land. Set the training dummy to ground/air tech so you don't waste your time seeing that the combo didn't work.
