YRC install is one of the new featured gimmicks in Xrd.

it requires fluent execution with your character and meter management since it only works when your tension is between 25-49%

or either way you won't get it or a normal RC will screw your combo.

I made a video about it

I wouldn't call it a gimmick, it's literally an option select. It's one of the very few things in Xrd that are really retarded and allows you to deny your opponent the option to burst basically forever if you keep yourself between 25-49% tension. It's dumb, I hope it gets patched but in the meantime, enjoy stealing people's bursts I guess.

The way it works is you input YRC motion after every button press in a combo, just in case your opponent tries to burst; if he does, YRC activates because burst startup isn't considered either in hitstun or blockstun, and you have some time to realize this and block because of YRC freeze. If he doesn't, no biggie because nothing happens while you're pressing YRC input.

I make it sound easy but it's actually really annoying and a bit hard to be doing YRC inputs during every attack of a combo. Annoying, mostly.

Did you try to constantly do it in a match it has some certain set ups and makes you sacrifice your supers, RCs and negative edges to be able to do it.

It's a very situational thing but pretty useful.

yes I saw some japanese sol doing this all the time especialy when the round was still "fresh".... and i was guessing how it was possible to guess so many bursts in such situations

You can't do it *anywhere* because the button presses for the YRC activate normals you may be able to cancel into, altaring the combo you wanted to do. You can probably do it in very specific places depending on the combo and button priority.

For example if the opponent wants to burst during a Venom's c.S (the starter of his bigger combos) there's no OS that can prevent it, since c.S can be canceled into f.S, 2S, 5H and 2H, so I have no 3rd button to YRC with.

I am pretty sure it was either Haken or Mugen.

I learned this technology by watching and playing against them.

This can be done with anyone but i used Sol since he is the main character of the game and me.

Also doing something like j.D PKS j.D PKS all the time is impossible since you you could reach 50% tension at any moment because of the fast meter gain in this game.

I recommend analyzing your combos and see where does you opponent burst most of the time and install a YRC there.

Also coming up with a certain set up like my wild throw one is pretty useful.

This might not apply to Venom c.S, but isn't the other way of doing it is to press 3 buttons after your attack with one of them corresponding to the next attack you want to do? So you could like Venom j.K j.PKS(j.S) j.KSH(j.H) j.KSHD(j.D)? Not sure if Venom has reverse gatlings in the air, that might fuck it up depending on priority.

So how long would it take the average player to learn this or is it just execution dependent?

I dont think much, when this types of option selects came out with sf4 players started to think that they were way too much complicated but after a couple of months everyone started to use them constantly because how usefull and autopilot they are
