BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend will be hitting Japanese retailers 12/17/2011 as a launch title on the Playstation Vita and simultaneously on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, with all 3 versions carrying a price tag of ¥5980 (approx. $78) confirming a retail release for the console versions. To recap Continuum Shift Extend brings all character download content from the original Continuum Shift and puts it all in one comprehensive disc, it also features a revised Calamity Trigger story, 4 new scenarios following all the newly added characters, and an additional 4 "joke" scenarios to be found as well. There will also be a new opening animation and theme (蒼穹の光 - Soukyuu no Hikari by Faylan)

First print copies of the Japanese versions will include a special soundtrack that compiles all the new audio tracks added since the original Continuum Shift.

Mori has already confirmed downloadable content for Extend however he did not comment on the exact nature of it, but following the previous history of past games we can probably expect more color palettes and maybe even characters beyond Relius...

Aksys games has already confirmed that that will indeed be bringing over Extend to North American territories for the Vita but have yet to announce plans for the console versions (it should also be noted that American Vita titles are slated for a standard pricing of $39.99, and this was the same price the original Continuum Shift released under for the PS3 and 360 in region).

Relius has been promised to be patched into arcade versions of Continuum Shift II before this month's end, so we should be getting a good look at him soon enough, until then you can check out the promotional video for Extend.

In other news a new vocal soundtrack will be releasing around the same time as well, BlazBlue in L.A. -VOCAL EDITION- will be on sale 12/14/2011 for ¥3,150 (approx. $41), the title is reminiscent of a Guilty Gear soundtrack of a similar title. It will include vocalized versions familiar themes which include:

01: Rebellion

02: Gluttony Fang

03: Weak Executioner

04: SUSANOOH

05: Active Angel

06: Rubble Song

07: Black Onslaught

08: Under Heaven Destruction

09: Endless Despair

10: Lust Sin

And to finish out the news round up Arc will be continuing their collaboration with gravure idol Iiniku Ushijima in a series of photo shoots that started with Noel Vermilion, then Makoto Nanaya, and now Litchi Faye Ling. The latest set is planned to launch along side next month's Arcadia magazine (which hits retailers on 9/30/2011).
