Guest

GET EXPOSED is Dustloop community project designed to introduce the internet to Blazblue communities from all over the world. If you and your community are interested in participating, please check out the thread here.

This week we bring you an interview from the Philippines.

Recently the Philippines scene had a big meet at Otaku Expo. McArthur wrote an article and filmed a lengthy interview covering the event. Here is a light version of the interview.

Interviewer- McArthur

Interviewee- Sougo, Gomez Brothers, DLSU Boys, Michi, TwilightChild

BBPH The Scene I: Otaku Expo

Intro

McArthur: We’re at Ozine/Otaku Expo. This is Calendula BBPH Gfx head. This is TwilightChild.

Twilight: PALAG!

*fun & laughter*

Sougo

McArthur: Hi. I’m McArthur of BBPH and I will interview players and vets and people from all walks of life. First guy, this is Sougo. Please introduce yourself and how did you know about BBPH?

Sougo: Hi, Sougo, real name’s Jecth. I started playing BB on CT. As time went on, I roamed around DLSU (university) and found out BBPH from McArthur. After playing with him in Goks (a DLSU college), we played some game and I got introduced to… Dix’s Baptism *Explicit* you Dix.

Gomez Brothers aka “The Pilgrims from way North”

McArthur: Okay. So first introduce each other...

LoGo: This is the youngest among us. Name is FranGo. Uses Hazama. Me, LoGo. Uses Valk. Then, MiGo. Uses Taokaka.

(McArthur: Ok, I Think I haven’t fought you yet, let’s play later.)

McArthur: How did you know about BBPH?

LoGo: We went to Ozine Fest April 2011, and we saw a BB tourney there. At first we thought we can do well, but we couldn’t. We saw how strong BBPH was. Since then we trained 'cuz we want to get better.

McArthur: That’s a good message. 'Cuz usually people who just play at home would feel the same way. I used to think like that before too, but once you meet the community you’ll just be shocked and amazed as well as get better of course. Right? So far, you guys having a great time?

(LoGo: Yeah definitely!)

McArthur: Ayt, thanks! Okay. Now the Mu Brothers, First introduce yourself and how did you know about BBPH?

Jayson: Jayson Rex Gabriel, I use Carl. And this is…

(Jaypee: Jaypee Gabriel, I use Ragna)

Jayson: Since the CT days, we’ve been looking for online opponents. We looked for a scene in the internet on BBCS1. Barely Anyone was playing online. So we decided to join an event- The BBPH First Ranbats. Ever since then, I semi-regularly attend Cubao and Philcoa Casuals and Convention events like this too. I’ll be there!

(McArthur: Nice nice.)

DLSU Boys ( Patrick “GhostWail”, Mer, Jecth “Sougo”)

McArthur: Tell us about the exp you guys had on your first big casuals.

Mer: There were lots of players and I thought I was already good. But... nope.

Sougo: Cos it’s hard without PS3 /QQ

PatC: Before I wasn’t serious with Taokaka, but now I am cos of BBPH 'cuz there are lots of good players. And I want to own too.

Michi

Question: How did you find out about BBPH?

Michi: There’s a thread I happen to see about BBPH, and I think Dix started it. From there, I talked to people and went to my first casual “The Dungeon” and I met people and played people. I guess that’s how I started.

TwilightChild

Question: On what advice can you give to untapped players out there?

TwilightChild: Believe it or not, as long as you look hard enough, you will find “the community” in any game.

Post Otaku Expo interview with BlickWinkel – Otaku Expo Champ

Question: So what can you say to your fans?

BlickWinkel: Thank you! It’s so hard to be noticed.

(McArthur: What again?)

BlickWinkel: It’s so hard to be noticed by another COWntry *funny accent*.

(BG: YOU! ARE! A TEXAN MAN!) (Tsunderemi: Hey dude, where does DacidBROW live?

Isn’t it in KAYNsas? *using funny accent*) (BG: edit it out)

Zenith from Singapore

Question: Why do you play BB?

Zenith: I used to be a KOF player, but now I'm a BB player.

(BG: Ohhhhh ahhhhh. Why BB?)

(TC: Ikuso Niisan~~)

McArthur: So what can you say about BBPH?

Zenith: Yeah… SINGAPORE GONNA BEAT YOUR ASS!

(All: Challenge accepted.mp3)

(McArthur: So Rebel2 SG, lets get it on!)

Dix The Bully

Question : What shout outs can you give to a casual gamer or to those watching this?

Dix The Bully: We have a fun community. Just join us.

Tomogawa

Question: How do you find BBPH’s level, compared to ourselves and to the world?

Tomogawa: For me, I think we’re at 75% Cos im basing it to the Japanese. I don’t keep track of the US scenes. Whether we admit or not, there are … still… you know… (TC: “Gelo Burst”) We still lack certain things and that’s why we’re at 75%.

McArthur: It just means there's room for improvement.

Tsunderemi: Should have been higher if not for your bursts...

McArthur: Zen said that SG is ready for us, what can you tell them? *Points at guns* I’ll be there at March, so watch our youtube channels to study us. *Looks back at Zen* The chair will break, not me.

McArthur: What can you say to those with no consoles?

Arvi: Watch vids and go to casuals!

McArthur: It’s really as simple as that.

BG:IMAGE TRAINING!

Cokesakto

McArthur: So this is Cokesakto, I heard the scene in the north has been on fire recently.

Cokesakto: In Philcoa casuals (North) players play other FGames as well like SF and MVC. So we play several games, everybody’s welcome!
