The Mako (jeep) is an abomination to control, all the 'extra' planets are just barren wastelands, the side-quests are non-existant/really petty fetch quests, there are loads of weapons and armor that all look and feel the same and are really hard to keep track of, there are too many abilities to manage on a controller, HUGE slowdown problems, lots of graphics glitches, cheap deaths (thresher maw spawn underneath you), worst inventory system ever, and it has the KOTOR problem of not really getting interesting until you are off the training world. That said, the core of the game is very good, and the plot + charters, are excellent (except Kaiden); thus making it still worth playing. Mass Effect 2 has none of the above problems, and has even better characters, core gameplay, and plot.
