Learning is never scrubby, scrubs are those that refuse to learn. Anyways, BB is pretty lenient on the timing on the wakeup ID. Basically, just input it after you hit a button to tech and it should come out (you don't need to be particularly fast. Also, BB has a system where in holding a button (briefly) will repeat the input for 5 frames, so you could try holding C when you do a wake-up ID.
