Well, I don't know. There are RPGs and RPGS... if you get what I mean.. lol Anyway, Tales of the Abyss had a nice development for some characters. No, I don't include Luke in it. Luke's development was horrible. Not because of it's content and yes how fast it was. Before, he was a selfish and immature little boy. Then, he explodes a town and 5 seconds after it his personality just... twists. Where is the slow process of changing? He just became another person in less than 10 minutes. And the Asch issue was way too obvious. Although, I like Abyss's ending. But I love Guy's development, best one in the game. In RPGs nowadays, it's hard to find a truly good character backstory. The only one who really delights me is Lion's, it is so different from what you would expect. Then again, Symphonia is my favorite game, and it was my first one as well. I love Symphonia's plot too much, even if the character backstories were left all too poor. At least they are developing it at those OVAs. :D
