That makes no sense. Every one who works there should know who I am. Also i go to all the events that have BlazBlue or Ah3 in the roster for sure. Sometimes i hang out at events that don't too. What do you mean as far as what ive done? Like tournament performance? As far as tournament performance goes not that great. 7th place at the AH3 tournament at ufo. Forgot the name. 7th in AH3 at anime matsuri major. Ranbats season i got like 3 third from bottom. There is a lot i need to do as a player. I know this. As far as the scene is concerned this will be the first real thing I will do for it. Before this ive done some minor things like hold secessions at my place.Transport people around etc. But like ive said ive run tournaments beforehand and ive got help from established members of the community including Ryan and Scottie who you mentioned. Ask those established players you mentioned earlier or the dudes who work there. I am a regular.

Im a contract programmer. You can can do the same. If you have a job though you should only do it part time(its a lot of work most of the time). Also if you do do it part time make sure that client knows your working part time. If you don't know anyone in the industry you can use services like odesk or Elance to get you stated. Although its hard to find good paying jobs on there.

Thats surprising seeing how i go to the arcade a lot. Who did you talk to? Also I don't think I've ever seen you before when do you go to the arcade. Also by community I mean the people within the community in Texas as a whole.

I told Ryan about Arcana via email. He responded and said that it was ok. As far as venue is concerned i would talk To ryan about it. If it he disagreed i would pay the $3 per person.

Actually yeah your right I had completely forgotten about pozers $2 entry fee tournaments. The tournaments I attended I remember them either being free or having a higher barrier. I also though his price per game was like $10? Any way but yeah if the community feels strongly about a $2 venue I'll do it. I don't think lowering the barrier of entry should be a big deal, or I can add something to the tournament it self. I believe that the $2 entry is for ranbats. Ranbats and tournaments aren't the same. From my experiene the barrier of entry for ranbats is expected to be lower because it takes place over a season. Where as a tournament is a one shot deal. Also I host games at my place all the time. Fridays and Saturdays are the hot nights. GG, MB,BB, AH3, are the games, and soon p4u. Recently its mostly been scottie and kenji. Sometimes jeff.

The venue fee is something that he asked for, to compensate for loss of potential business. If you want to verify it ask him.

1. Scottie is helping to run it. Fubar will be there too. Im taking all precautions to make sure the tournament gos smooth. I have also run tournaments in the past. So i have experience doing this sort of thing. 2. Lol the name is better than your tournamet names. Summer nights dance or whatever it is. We actually thought about this for a while. We decided that something simple and straight forward would be best. 3. You say you understand the community and I don't. But then you say things like the AH3 community is fine even though they have no reason to play in Austin and as a result have stopped playing. The logic seems strange to me. 4. To say that adding mvc3 to the tournament will help the numbers of other games isn't necessarily true. When i helped run the ceo tournaments which had a fair amount of games and then later ran a focused BB event, those who wanted to play BB played BB. The numbers were nearly identical at both events. Those who have an interest in P4U will play P4U they just need a reason to play and they need to know. Adding someting like mvc3 will make the tournament MUCH harder to run. The community expressed that a release tournament should be a more casual affair hence the $5 fee. Now if everyone feels more money is really needed i can look into a pot bonus. New point 6. The reason there is a venue fee is because the tournament is going to take up the arcade. Which means less business for UFO during that time period. The venue fee compensates for the potential business lost.

Tournaments and forums make you bad player...not sure I understand it but whatever. Also this "shitty" tournament is having most of the houston(out of towners) "anime" scene come down to compete. Pretty much all of UFO should be coming(including HELLA randoms. Yeah new players!), and some of the OG death squad GG players. Also I made a 4 koma. It's my master piece. It took sooooo long to make too, like 2.5 mins! So be sure to read it! Now you can avoid the final panel by doing the right thing like supporting the scene and working with me so that you can attend. If you don't want to, that's fine your choice. Keep in mind though, what your doing is not helping the scene at all at this point. Then again you probably don't care about the scene.
