It's unnecessary. R1 was fine on it's own, except for the stupid cliffhanger. R2 is like INTRODUCE NEW CHARACTER (HE IS A STEREOTYPICAL ANIMU CHARACTER(HE IS KIND OF USELESS TO THE PLOT (HE DIES))) Remove everything that made R1 good (the tactical coups/ battles) and replace them with just straight-out boring mech fighting, etc. I can't really remember anything else about why it's so shitty since I watched it forever ago, but yeah. I didn't enjoy it.
