I can be at Foonzo at 4h45. I could litterally book my ticket right now. I'm refreshing every minunte or so the Air Canada page. (the exact same flights are a buck cheaper on Kayak.com) Kappa Expedia has even cheaper deals, but none of them have a direct flight, and have terrible hours. The only 2 direct flights are starting at 799$ and have the same time as the 565$ one give or take an hour. btw the exact flight numbers are (both are Air Canada): AC1857 (Thursday, July 10th) 8:00PM -> 22:26PM local times. AC1852 and AC428 (Monday, July 14th) 11:50AM -> 19:03PM and 21:30PM -> 22:45PM local times.

I just thought about it. I don't have my laptop with me today... well expecting Airmaster or someone at foonzo to have one I can borrow. Didn't think I would go to Foonzo today so I didn't pack my laptop... oh well someone is bound to have a computer there.

Important notice concerning April's TSB. I'd like to start doing real plans for the upcoming TSB in New York that will happen on April's 12. Knowing who wants to come, who's ready to go and whatnot would be nice, considering we still need to book a hotel room. As for transportation, I know kaeru is leaving on friday and returning sunday, and I think (don't quote me on this) that DerQ wanted to leave montreal on saturday morning. For now the people I know are going 100% : kaeru Brice plz post up your interest or whatever, else it's only gonna be me and kaeru. We're going to celebrate St1ckBuG's birthday too, because it's the same weekend. Meaning that coming to April's TSB is certainly going to be a real test of endurance :D Sleeping on saturday night will probably be a luxury :P I'd like to be able to get the hotel(s?) room asap. quick breakdown of the prices : Gas -> 2 full tanks (3 if you are really paranoid) Next Level entry fee -> 10$ Tournament entry fees? -> 5$ per game I believe Food -> well you know how much it costs to eat here? with the $ being shit right now it should be equal-ish Tolls -> I think it's safe to say that 20$ total should do it. Hotel -> that's what i need to know but it's definitely gonna be more expensive than the regular major rate we usually have, but i'll take a shot in the dark and say around 160$/night? is that realistic? Gas/Toll/Hotel can be divided by the number of people going so the more we go the less we pay, woop woop. I just pulled out numbers out of my ass though so don't take anything for granted (except the 10$ entry fee for Next Level, this probably won't change overnight) and call me out if you can prove me wrong on those prices, I'll be happy to change the numbers. I would actually be very happy if that was the case, but Sledge has always been, and will always be quite useless as a tool to get in against projectile based zoners. In fact, doing a Sledge to try and cover space to get in is what you should avoid at all cost, because it's the perfect opportunity to get baited and punished for free. The main problem I see with the 5A nerf isn't the damage. I am okay with the objective of not being able to get more than X amount of damage (being lower than the 2500~3000 we have right now). That's fine and I totally agree. What I do not like at all is the fact that 5C will not connect after 5B anymore if the combo started on a 5A that hit standing. This is the real problem. I would've been ok with a big proration nerf on P1 5A that would be perfect for me. (not considering the potential heat gain on a 3-hits 5A combo versus a 10-hits one). And, yes although Tager is significantly better than he was in any other iteration of the series, his matchups never really changed that much. Over the course of 5 games now, never did we get an addition to our movelist that would palliate the biggest weaknesses he has, like a decent head invulnerability move for example, or an actual option to deal with people running away.

Are you serisous? more than half the cast is a terrible matchup for Tager. The main problem I see that will hurt a lot isn't that we can't get good damage on 5A starters, but that the abare and the general hitconfirming pressure is going to be shit. Who in their right mind would pressure with 5A > 5B > 3C or even 5A > 3C knowing that it's your only options on standing hit 5A to get a knockdown. The point of having 5B > 5C combos is that it makes an easier time doing better pressure and having a great hitconfirm at the same time. Pressuring with 5A > 5B > 5C is ok enough to visually react to the 5A hitting first or the 5B hitting first, making you autopilot a 5C to think of the optimal route to take there to get as much damage as possible depending on your starter. Knowing that 5B > 5C will not connect on a 5A starter throws everything out the window and pushing forward the idea of only getting damage off of really slow normals and command grabs. It's not even remotely threatening of getting tagged by a 5A...

There is a somewhat realist possibility of me looking for an apartment and roommates. Nothing is set in stone, but it might happen. Better start looking at my shit.

Considering any kind of Tager Busters being VS starter (from the frame data) and considering 5A to BECOME a VS starter, we can safely assume that 5B > 5C will connect. If we can combo 5B > 5C > Collider > ... on Rachel and Kokonoe after any Busters, why couldn't we on a 5A? is there some kind of untech differences being standing and being knocked down on the ground?
