The sad thing is that I actually have that game and doing it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE, lol. Obscure game tournament night might be a good idea, but its too short notice to change right now. (thats right, make outrageous demands and I JUST MIGHT LISTEN, be very afraid) lol.

Oh hey guys, got a lil surprise, sunday for BB I got this Japanese model to agree to be Litchi. So we'll have a Ring Girl for the finals / booth babe for the event in general for ALL of Sunday. Below is some pics example I think she'll make a pretty good litchi :p Hope that'll help with the hype a bit and step things up a bit.

Its a custom airbrushed shirt, its meant to be a trophy. Theres only one being made for the tourney specifically for the tourney. Not computer generated. Cost me more than $10 for a shirt to commission an artist to do it. I actually wanted to do a different thing but shirt means we don't have to worry about size so much. I'll post the pic mid-week should be good.

NYAF’s Exhibition Hall is open to pros on Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM and then the full public the rest of the weekend, Friday from 1 PM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Please note that the Exhibition Hall closes at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, but panels, screenings, and special events will continue until 10:00 PM. HEY EVERYONE IMPORTANT UPDATE. I am SWITCHING THE DAYS for BB and GG. Please let me know if this causes a problem for you but we have some things planned that work out better if the days are switched. I'll update this on the flyer image and on the original post soon! So BB is now SUNDAY oct 10th and GG is now SATURDAY oct 9th Thanks! and sorry for the date change, we originally had it like this because we didn't want any huge conflict with St1ckbug's event but since they'll be skipping this week, theres no reason to keep the days as they were.

lol, I can't even give a good deal without suspicion, I put in $1300 of my own money for this promotion and I'm giving up more than half the time and space to hold a tourney for the BB/GG community. Entry is $10 each how does $50 make you wonder? lol. I'm working the comic-con so I get a discount on the entry tickets. I then combine it with the tourney entry so that YOU end up getting the discount in effect. Tourney Entrants become my VIP guests so the weekend is a reduced rate. As for prize, as long as the tourney has a good turnout theres plenty coming in to make up for what I'm putting into the prize. I'm already getting that set up, its going well right now. The thing about paying cash at the event is that I'll be INSIDE if you want to come up and get it. Also I don't know how well my discount is going to be holding up the DAY OF the event. I'll still be able to offer something of a discount but its going to get smaller as the window closes, the price you pay for procrastination. I'll do this, for anyone who wants to reach me about payment in an EMERGENCY I set my Xbox gamertag on my dustloop profile to be my CELL NUMBER. ok? If you need to reach me text me. Simply put $50 gets you into NYAF for 3 days AND tourney entry If you are ALREADY at NYAF or you ALREADY have your ticket. Its $10 per person. Just that little deal was to help people get in free helping to offset the cost of entry.

Even though booth space set me back $1300 it will not be obvious unless you are in the row the event is being held. The space is HUGE and theres hundreds of booths. And yeah its reaaal crowded in there @_@ Some designated space in the booth will seat some players. Hoping my booth is next to 2 boring ones that don't draw a crowd and we'll have even more space lol. You gotta go to the booth like not_lunaris said 2949. Its the anime area. We'll be there all 3 days so come by anytime to get an update on whats going on if you like.

Great, thats the spirit of what I'm trying to get at with the tourney, I hope more of you feel the same. In any case, I can say this much, prize will be valued at over $50 no matter what (well not no matter what if theres only 1 participant I'm just gonna pwn him and take his money, lol. jk). Note that $50 gets you in ALL 3 days not just the day of the tourney. I wanted to offset the cost of NYAF thus letting more people to attend, allow more people than just NY to participate (good for BB and GG I was thinking), and among those increase awareness for BB (needed) and GG (Even more needed). The reason why I'm not just looking at a cash prize from the pot is more hype, prestige, bragging rights etc. with a trophy prize. A poster is NOT a trophy! lol. Things are looking up for my original plans for a trophy prize now so I'm less likely going to need to cop out and just do a cash prize. Everything will at least be announced by oct. 8th FRIDAY a day before the tourney on the thread and at the event. If you want to put a suggestion for a trophy you guys can I already have something in mind though. But this is all about you guys. I love what Team st1ckbug is doing and think we need more people putting in their time to help out just like they are. And this event is what I came up with.

So I got a deal where with $50 you can get entry to the building and 1 of the tourneys would then be free, but that only applies when you get the ticket through me. Its a tourney because its in NYAF and I'm doing NYAF so there's a tourney, for my situation can't have one without the other this weekend sry guys. Should be lots of stuff going on all 3 days though, should be fun! I played MvC3 at Evo so if any of you didn't and they have it there, you're gonna enjoy playing it! Entry into the tourney is $10 for ranking and be eligible to WIN. But its free to PLAY. If you wanna do GG on a CRT thats fine, I'll have 1 CRT and 1 LCD tv at least. I'll have casual play for some time of the day we are not busy with the tournament and gameplay will also be free during this time. I think it would be nice to just to have it around during the con. Additionally, Since theres no tourney on Friday, all of Friday's play will be free casuals. GG and BB will be on Playstation. You can use your own controllers, brining your own is encouraged. I'll have one stick there and I can bring a pad or 2 if people need. Among those helping out, we'll see if we can get some more Sticks. If you guys aren't particular and don't want to carry your own sticks around during the con, I can try to make sure we have 2 sticks and 2 pads at least, I'm not sure about more. Cool! yeah I tried to think of the best way to promote it and make it affordable so we came up with that NYAF ticket + entry for the same price thing Hopefully NYAF will mean people will come from father away and we'll spread out a lil bit. We'll have it so people can still go around and enjoy the festivities. You'll get queued to appear giving people notice to get from wherever they are, back to the event. Glad to hear you guys are liking the idea! I didn't wanna get in the way of the regular bi-weeklys though lets just keep the BB and GG events rollin!

sry everyone, MIU didn't have enough time. I tried to make it happen but his schedule of sight seeing was packed. I tried to move things around a little bit but I couldn't find a way to do all the things we wanted to do and have the GG party. He said he wants to come to NY again next year tho and I'll try to give a bigger notice. - KKL

If we can pull that off then SAT. sounds like a perfect day I'd do it at my place in park slope, some of the NY players have been there before like Josh and chaz, I'll set up a few TVs.
