  1. And no, I don't think that it does get effected by mag
  2. Haha...Mortal Kombat, I never saw the appeal of that series. The gore was just a gimmick to get attention that got boring fast and I can't imagine the new one being much better, especially those lovely mid-fight cutscene where you ineffectively break their bones but it doesn't change the fight at all. Just another layer of silly to an already silly series
  3. Hey everyone else in B tier or lower have a super mode but us, c'mon even Plat does Just give us Golden Tager X, there instantly balanced
  4. That comic needs more Tager and less Kokonoe abuse jokes but I approve of that title. Point taken, shutting up.
  5. I am by no means an expert, I was only explaining what I know trainee to trainee and I have always believe you should avoid a purple if possible. People may still have trouble with teching a green but purple not so much. A throw reject would give the opponent the upper hand on out ranging or out speeding him or both...often both. Not so much intended as an "it's impossible" answer. more like a "You might but why would you want to?" answer.
  6. If you are expecting them to jump then poke or Collider them instead, everything after GF is a guessing game. The point of GF was not an instant buster in the first place, it is a reset slightly in Tager's favour. Leaving the opponents close ranged and magnetize, the way Tager likes his opponents. If your first impulse is to mash out a buster every time you gadget someone then the person you are fighting will probably wise up and start jumping if that isn't their first reaction already. A big part of BB is learning how to watch your opponent and taking advantage of their mistakes. If one player or the other behaves predictably then it becomes easier to punish them. The big guy has other options after GF depending on what his opponent does after the move ends, If they jump, again poke them. If you expect them to attack like say against "Inferno Divida the dead spike-edge", backdash and punish them. If they expect you to poke and block then you buster them. Hard part is not knowing the options it knowing when to use them.
  7. When it comes down to it All of his grapples look weird when you look closely because they involve dynamic movement which they never wanted to sprite for all the characters because they were hoping no one would pay attention to it. I mean his Astral is just plain silly if you look at the way he holds his opponents. But yeah the bounce is funny too Random thought, do you think Tager actually has eyes or are those specs almost completely-fused to sides of his head and he has more robohancements there instead?
  8. I think it is too soon to be getting depressed about this...that is the thing we DON'T know how this will effect us and really won't until the patch is released and the players take time to understand the changes in depth. Loketests can only go so far in telling us what is going on with our characters, they aren't 100% accurate and they aren't finalized either.I admit the changes are bit weird...but is there any wonder Dacid has to come in here and scold us? When Arsys gives us lemons we should shove them down their throats
  9. I am perplexed on how conversation about 5A could last so long... I mean should this really be our concern?
  10. Or just jump over him.
  11. I was just thinking the gaurd point counter reminds me more of Bang
  12. I actually would like to see your Tager in action, just outta curiosity. So if anything is recorded, hook me up?
  13. Well... I am glad this conversation took a more positive route, but to remind the people join in. Tager has been designed to be harder to use for two reasons, the first being they have had a bad habit of making their grapplers TOO good and that was apparently scaring off the beginners to their other games. The other being the game was balanced so that the harder to use characters like Carl and Litchi would be more rewarding for the work it goes into playing them. Consider how rudimentary Tager's combos are and how strong is throws are. By their reasoning it would make sense to make him lower, however that does not excuse him for being so weak in the intermediate and advanced levels of play. What they made is a character who is only intimidating to careless or beginners, it seems redundant to me. But. Some system mechanics are character specific, regarding movement in any case. So his apparently weight prevents him from double jumping and dashing yet doesn't stop people from air juggling him and tossing him around? Selective gravity is interesting~ What I am getting at is his things like movement restrictions are arbitrary changes to keep him from being better. I am sure you guys all know how notorious Pot's dash > buster is.
  14. That isn't completely unrealistic to imagine life without a Tager tier. They have balanced the game pretty well managing to -almost- slim things down to the two tiers, probably the bare minimum. From what I have seen, there aren't a lot of huge changes all around for most characters, accept for Noel and Makoto who are getting a toned down a bit. And maybe we can use the barrier and IBB to our advantage?
  15. Ah, underboob. The best friend of double sided tape manufacturers everywhere.
  16. I only mentioned 6A wasn't great to begin with more like a nuisance for the opponent, so why bother with it? It seems like they are wasting of time messing with more gimmicks instead of actually trying to fix him again. In all honesty it is not like they will listen to people on an unofficial forum in a language foreign to them, but we might be able to work past these handicaps which I think is why we are here. But hey we don't know if any of this is true, remember?
  17. Did they REALLY need to nerf the 6A pull....I mean really? It wasnt even that good to begin with, now they are just taking the piss out of him. I mean really... " Can catch opponent on bounce with collider" I am pretty sure we could already do that but don't because it is better and safer to do add the C filler for the extra damage and input time, so unless they changed the phyics for the bounce it is completely redundant. But hey let's not give up hope just yet...
  18. AC does require a lot of reading your opponent and quick thinking to be used as a real AA instead of a jump-counter but even that has needs some future sight, but it is one of the best things Tager has. But it isn't fair to compare him to Makoto, with her it'd be faster to name the things that aren't stupidly good
  19. I hate to re-rail things but apparently, I have been living under a rock for too damn long... a second balance patch? This is the first I have heard of it and I am both interested and confused. I mean who else is being fixed? We cant ask for too much but really all I could ask for is for them to fix his drive, I know a some of you barely pay attention to the mag but I really like it. It is my favourite of the character and part of the reason I keep playing.
  20. By creepy Noel, you must mean awesome Noel. I think the white and red look good
  21. "Flinger" Heh heh heh, I like it
  22. I like a Tager who doesn't just give a fuck...and can charge bait a good burst. I like this guy all ready
  23. I feel it can take my mag trolling to the next level
  24. Ok, so I am not an absolute failure for not being able to pull it off...? I still feel it is something to be worth practicing
  25. ...speaking of gimmicks, for some reason I still cant pull off that GT> RC > AC gimmick
