Not really.. I mean HEXXP is more about fandom in general than anime, though I suppose the two overlap a bit. It's nowhere near as large as Kawaii Kon has gotten, and if last year is anything to go on it's nowhere near as entertaining. It's just a smaller event overall, though I haven't looked into what this year's one is going to be like. Hopefully it's an improvement.
