  1. j.B/j.C, land, dash 5B, 5CC combos are amazing. I need to grind those. Need to work on my movement. I just counted movement actions (outside of combos) of a random jpn. match and compared them to the amount of movement actions in one of my matches. Result: 83:23 Gli I wanted to see your Rachel on that random netplay stream :<
  2. I forced myself to play reactionary but quickly fell into old patterns cause it didn't work out (reactions not good enough outside of blocking mixups). I'll try your suggestions against 214 series (which were indeed my main problem) next time, thanks.
  3. I actually tried this several times, he can just airthrow you. The vertical range is retarded.
  4. How does one get a better grasp of air movement in airdasher games? Not only Blazblue, but also Melty, Guilty Gear etc. Sometimes I hear/read people talk/write about players in videos or streams, and how they can tell that they're good players by looking at the way they move. However when I watch these videos, I don't see anything particularly outstanding. At the same time, when I play myself I have the feeling I don't move around nearly as effective as these players, and it shows in my win/loss ratio. An example would be, if I watch a MB video, to me it mostly looks like random jumping around, whiffing your best air normal and fishing for CHs, but when I try to do this myself I just get my ass handed to me
  5. This MU is actually a lot harder than I thought at first. Can't use any special safely at all, frog is almost useless at neutral game because of the wheel, and the pumpkin in general is as well cause the puppet guards everything. The puppet also has projectile armor on everything (no lobelias)... and I dare you block Val Tus, it's +forever, and even worse if you happen to get hit by it cause it prorates extremely well. You need good reactions vs Relius, he's definitely the one that sets the pace here. I found I was a bit more successful by completely neglecting any summons during neutral game and just rushing in with winded movement, and only summoning during knockdown, but it's still not a very consistent way to win. Any tips?

    [CSE] Rachel vs. Carl

Apparently there is actually a way to force oki onto Carl even if his sister is near him on wakeup. You need to do frog oki. When he techs, do meaty 3C (and hold and wind closer if necessary). 3C will low-profile Brio so it can't hit you. And once it touches Carl, any move Nirvana did will be interrupted. Then the frog activates, and you can proceed from there. 3C also beats Vivace and mashing and is one of our best starters. No real reason to not use it in this situation.
  8. It's possible for Rachel to do j.2DA after the jc, so you can't see the wind beforehand. It also makes the fuzzy afterwards easier. I don't know why noone does it this way, it makes it so much less obvious. Nope, 5B > j.A is completely gapless even on IB if done perfectly on Tsubaki and most other characters.
  9. That's why I usually end with pumpkin oki in the corner. You can simply react to what kind of tech the opponent does. You can also do pressure resets like 5B, frog, wind pumpkin onto opponent (works every time ). Also you'll only need 1 wind for the next corner combo because you have access to the frog, and usually a pole setup. In your situation, you can't really do anything but frogless mixups after they tech.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk4aoaMZjf4#t=27m53s Why doesn't the pumpkin disappear although Rachel blocked 3 attacks?

  12. That's Kyuuchou, not Rin-hime :>
  13. Go to ranbat. Play like shit. Place 2nd anyway We reached 8 players, sadly most don't take the game seriously. The ones that do couldn't attend this time. Oh well, at least managed to grab some BB merchandising that Arcsys EU kindly sponsored for this tourney.
  14. One thing that stood out to me, Herbal Grey: Personally I feel you're way too liberal with your wind. You're often using it in places where it's not really needed (for example, moving in when it's not really beneficial or winding the pumpkin 3 times before going in - you could instead set a frog safely and bait a mistake), then you don't have it when trying to do a combo or mixup. This resulted in quite a lot of suboptimal midscreen combos with weak oki, or blockstrings ended with a A lobelia and only 1 or 0 wind. Other than that you played fairly well (duh, otherwise you wouldn't have won). Some moves where used incorrectly because you didn't react correctly (random things like j.236B when the opponent is above you, sword iris while the opponent is already trapped by the frog anyway etc), but the enemy didn't punish it so whatever :D The freestyled latetech punish vs CopperDabbit in the 2nd match, 1st round was cool. Tip for situations like 3:08:03: RC the throw, dash up 5b, normal j.2C combo into BBL. This is something that comes up only once every 1000 matches though so it's hard to recognize it fast enough. EDIT: lol nice end. BLOWN UP! :D
  15. Sick, thanks for the link.
  16. Yeah just skip 4D, it makes no sense to use it. Just dash up and use 5B, works just as well.
  17. What exactly is the problem?
  18. If you want to gold burst as a reversal, hold 1 while you do it, this way you won't blow the opponent away, but right into you instead. And try to have a super ready, or else it's barely worth it. Gold burst prorates pretty badly as a starter, so you want to aim for a good setup afterwards, and super will always offer you that. I generally don't gold burst without enough meter.
  19. I need P4:U now, it looks amazing...
  20. Does someone know when BB is starting?

  22. About 2C(CH) combos: Windless, 50 heat: 2C(CH), sj.[C], j.C, j.632146C, V, 214A, etc. Windless combo into super from 2C(CH), anywhere, about 2,5k + oki. Utilize the float of j.[C] to go under the opponent, then cancel j.C into BBL. It's AWESOME, practice this cause there will be that one time in 100 matches where this knowledge will make a difference. If you have 2 wind and 50 heat, there are two optimal combos: One for heat, one for damage. They are both already known, but I thought I'd point this out. Heat: 2C(CH), 2D, 5B, j.C, 2D, dj.2C(Lv2), V, 236B, j.C, dj.C, j.214C, V, 632146C, 214A, 236A, d.3C(1), 214C (frog hits), 236A, 3C(1), 214C, 3C, 214B Does about 2,8k. If you started the combo with 50 heat, you'll be left with more than 40 after the combo. I prefer this one. Damage: 2C(CH), 7D, 632146C, sj.8D, 66, j.236A(w), j.2C(Lv3), 214A, d.3C(2-3), 236A (frog hits), [3C(1), 214C, 3C, 214B] or [5CC, 214B] Does around 3,2k. If you have two wind, go for one of those two combos. Don't do something like 2C(CH), 1D, 6A, 632146C, 214A etc. It results in about 2,8k as well, but gains a lot less heat (about 25 if you started the combo with 50 heat).
  23. @tofurr Forgot these until now. Dat phone cam quality. As I said... poverty. Ahem... @gamester If you're interested in building a stick, visit slagcoin.com. Very informative and helpful if you want a custom controller.
