What's up with c.S beating dead angles? I saw someone say it in the "How to beat dead angles" thread, and I ended up doing it in some matches (unintentionally ). I've seen it make 2 characters dead angles miss, and one of Baiken's counters miss. I geuss it just moves Sol's hitbox forward a lot? Just something I never knew.

Personally, I've been taking the easy way out (doing Riot Stamp) every time cause I didn't know 5H could hit him out of it. I will have to try that. but whenever I try BB its always too late and Slide Head hits me before I'm airborne. I just don't react fast enough

This is the kind I got, I've had no problems with them (and they're a bit cheaper ) http://www.estarland.com/GameCube.cat..product.16902.html

Cheesy Saki unblockables vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMx-QRagDPg edit: Re-uploaded. HAD to add the last combo.

I don't know how exactly you're supposed to do it, I can't seem to get the timing right either

I have 3.3 and this method worked for me: First get the Homebrew Channel http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack#Step_by_Step Then the Gecko OS. The one I used to get it working is the first one listed in the downloads section here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Gecko_OS To get the Gecko OS working (program loaded through Homebrew channel that allows you to play imports) you need to make a folder in the root directory of the SD card called "apps." Then put the boot.dol from the Gecko download in that folder, and Homebrew channel will find it when you enter the channel.

Well from the small amount of time I spent in training with Karas, I found his assist to be easy to use in combos cause it comes out really fast. I don't know how useful it is by itself, but it seems to be a good assist for extending combos.

As it's been said, it's a better idea to RC the first hit of VV and follow up with a K/S > 2H > j.S > SW etc. It's safer than waiting for the 2nd hit to RC, in case they blocked. I used to do that too, when I messed up and could tell I can't get a knockdown, I'd do an air BR to end it. I'd say it's a good thing (better than ending with a non-CLSW) but knowing how many CLSW you can get, or just not being as greedy, and going for the knockdown when you know it'll work is obviously the best option. It's more important to get a knockdown than get an extra CLSW you aren't sure about. EDIT: must have read your post wrong. If you are in fact getting a knockdown by ending in air BR, then it's fine. But I don't see how that's possible, I didn't think air BR could knockdown. heh, I know what you mean. Training mode can be addictive Unfortunately, that combo is already known. It'd be hard to find a useful one that isn't nowadays

Made a vid with team Rock n Roll combos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0lY3j8rKT0

I didn't show it in the vid, but Soki has problems comboing some of the characters on crouch (Morrigan, for example). Standing A whiffs over them, and if you hit with 2A, standing B whiffs over them at almost any range. For these characters, if they're crouched when you're hitting them, the best you can do is 2A>2B Baroque Cancel > C > etc. Or if you have some way of using assist to get a good combo, that could work too.

I couldn't get Luigi-Bo's method to work either when I tried it, but I've gotten mashing on pad down anyway. Just put your thumbs in the middle of the d-pad and buttons after putting in GV, then circle around each rhythmically. Your thumb should just slide across the buttons/directions (the order I do is something like 236S > slide to P > slide to K > slide to H > slide to S > etc). Be careful not to get an accidental RC though, eventually once you get it down you can start mashing with fewer buttons to reduce the risk of that, but it's probably easiest to start by sliding across all 4 buttons in a circular motion, making sure not to hit any 3 at the same time.

I made a vid of my Soki/Rock team combos if anyone cares to watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIXdfQbimEE and there are some others in my Rock/Viewtiful Joe team vid.

Well, if you aren't getting knockdowns from your combos, that could be one reason they always seem to get away. I can't help much with specifics vs Chipp though, I rarely ever play him :/

Good info, thanks. But as for reacting to his scalpel stab, I find GV'ing it easier.

Thanks for this info, I need help with this match up. sorry for bitching, but god...I hate playing Baiken -_- Gunflame is pretty much useless here.

Ok I need to work on my light weight combos. I see that Wild throw one I will have to try. I'd been doing the 2H > SW two or three times then BR but I fail at getting that consistently >_< Is there a GV combo (such as K > 2H > GV) in which you can get 3 CLSW AND a knockdown on light weights from hitting them into the corner? I can get 3+KD with just (j.S > SW)x3 > BR if I'm taking them out of the corner (done on May), but I can't seem to get 3 CLSW without sacrificing the knockdown when hitting them into the corner. (specifically on may, millia, baiken, jam, bridget) Also, I see people do that JI combo so you're higher up when the VV hits, what exactly is the input for that? and when exactly is it a good idea? (it may finally be time I learn to JI ) EDIT: nevermind, I figured it out =P

Ok, I'm trying to play my friend but his status is "PingOver" Is there anything we can do about that? also how do you change characters for the color edit? -
I put me on on there. anyone else at Virginia Tech?

Ok thanks, I do remember seeing that vid before Brent-quest. I wasn't sure if I was getting thrown simply cause I was timing it wrong. Looks like that is indeed the case.

I have a random question... Is it possible to do a Fefnir instantly from landing, so that you cant be thrown as you land too close to the opponent? I've gotten people with this from messing around with it in training/casuals. It works sometimes, then other times they throw me before it comes out. I assume that happens either because either I'm timing it perfectly, or they aren't reacting to throw me fast enough. But theoretically, can you have Fefnir come out the instant you land, making you unthrowable?

Nice matches hate to see so many WT combos dropped though I mess up the 66j.D > SW combo in matches a lot too, thus I almost always go for a simpler starter (j.S > SW). Better to get some damage and a knockdown than no damage or knockdown at all. Of course it would be best to get the most damage and the knockdown. If you can do 66j.D > SW off wild throw consistently in matches, obviously by all means do that. but I rarely see that happen consistently :P EDIT: Noticed he does end the first round with a j.S > SW from WT to ensure his win.

I see, I guess I'm just at the right range when I try it. I didn't account for IB That sounds interesting, I'll have to experiment with this.
