Chrono Phantasma Story Discussion [fun tentatively allowed again]
GF9Returns replied to Chaoschao222's topic in Zepp Museum
The CP story is insane and....unpredictable. I like that. I mean hey, at least the story isn't like Killer is Dead or some shit like that. At least this story makes sense. -
[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
GF9Returns replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
I somehow hope that the Xrd version of Still in the Dark has a piano playing in either for a solo or for the beginning, like this for example.(http://youtu.be/dILd4K1HKec for the first 22 seconds) Anyway let's get back on topic before we all get warrants. Now the cinematic K.O. part bothers me a bit. IMO, it should only be suitable for the ending of the very last match or for a overdrive finish. I hope they change that. -
Is That Man the one with the white hair that was working with Sol and Aria? Just wondering.
-
Alright, I understand all the innuendo and all that. I personally think it'd be a bit too far too. But cussing? COME ON! In Blazblue, the characters said almost all the cuss words under the sun, even more than Guilty Gear. They even said d!ck(Ragna called Hakumen that) and p*ssy(Hazama said it). It wouldn't hurt to for the writers to put the F bomb in. But you know...it's whatever. ("C*nt" would be a bit too far though) Well that's good. A franchise needs to mature somehow. That's the point I'm trying to make.

I'm just being curious. Since I-no cursed a few times but there were bleeps, Ragna almost saying the "F" bomb a couple times (what the fuuu~), blood features in GGXX, and Kokonoe and Litchi saying raunchy things during their "modes"(HMPK and TMML)...I say just put em in. Their games are marketed for customers 15 and up anyway. What do you guys think? Oh, and here's an example to what I'm talking about. http://youtu.be/FJoCI6FcB5k?t=40s

Alright, I accidently posted this in another thread but got a warrant from the interwebz poe-lice, so I'ma post this here. Wonder how Bang will fight without his nail, since Relius took it away, according to the arcade ending.

Just talk about what do you want to see in Xrd BESIDES the gameplay tweaks. Talk about the what kind of remixes you want in the soundtrack, EX Modes, and an English dub, a 50/50 of that happening since GG2 and Blazblue have one. Anyway let's start....uh.... I think Quinton Flynn should voice Axl Low and Richard Cansin should voice Chipp. How 'bout yall?

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
GF9Returns replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
This. DEFINITELY this! Though I hope they just put him, Kliff(make him faster), and Justice(make her dash w/o overdrive and more balanced) in just for fanservice, and for newcomers to understand Sol's background better. I do see Justice being part of the Xrd story somewhat cuz of that scientist. -
No, Hakumen's move "Tsubaki".

Dunno. Ask "them". I just saying what I think people dislike the "kuwaii" stuff, that's all. You're right about that. Most of the anime on Toonami back then made my childhood golden, and I thank them for that, but like I said again, I don't like "kuwaii style" shit. Gets really annoying. The hell. I said I knew that the anime I liked were anime, I just don't look at it that way and it's not a hard way too, I just don't. As a matter in fact, I know some people who don't even like anime of all kinds that said "a few anime that aired on Toonami" they can stand. Didn't you see what I've said on my last post? I know that already, I'm just stating that people actually think that's what 80% of the anime is like. Do I agree with them, no, but do I see why a majority doesn't like that cutsey "kuwaii" crap some anime have, yes. I feel like there is nothing we can do about it, just let it be. Sure blindly thinking that Guilty gear or Blazblue is a bunch of weaboo kuwaii shit is wrong, but what can we do? Your rant, my rant, and everybody else's rant about them won't change a thing. Just say "fuck them" and enjoy our games. As I said again, I'm just trying to say why I think people hate anime in general. Like for example, I listen to some J-Rock like Hironobu Kageyama and Faylan, and some people would be going like "WTF is this" or "This is sooo gay" and then they tell me to listen to Meek Mills, who SUCKS! But hey, I didn't give a damn after that.

I'm not saying "if you like x over y, then you a retard", like what you wanna like. I'm just basically asking WHY are you guys so shocked about why the "scene" is that way it is now. I mean GG and BB take a hell of a lot more time to learn some characters than MvC, so there, going with the one that's easy. Now as for the anime part, yes, I know DBZ is an anime but I...JUST don't look at it that way, dunno why, but I just don't since it was one of the shows that made my childhood golden, so I just call it "a cartoon that changed my life". DBZ and other anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Ruroni Kenshin, etc. get well respected cuz they got spark and no cutsey "kuwaaiiiii" crap as other animes like Naruto, One Piece(once in a while), Bleach, etc. don't much (though One Piece is well respected too). Though like I said again, I don't judge what people like, all I'm trying to do is stating my vision as of seeing why I THINK people respect "real deal" anime and "real deal" fighting games that have the "anime" style. And I once tried to tell "them" that SF is like anime too, but it's useless, they just wanna call it a non-anime style game, so I gave up.

And his own version of "Tsubaki".
-
And also make him do a couple more of Hakumen's moves.

While I admit that it's kinda effed up that people call some "anime" fighting games "weaboo crap" and odd that most people don't even recognize ASW, people also gotta understand that's just the way it is. Other people (including myself) just don't look at SF as an "anime" game, they just look at a game that changed our life and rocked their childhood. Same goes for DBZ, people don't look at it as an anime, they look at it as a "cartoon" that changed they lives(and is STILL going strong around the world just like Street Fighter and MK). I like anime but I gotta be honest, some of them are...just too weird and have too much "unusual style" and that's why some people look down on GG and BB. Now I'm not saying I do cuz I love both of the series. I think it's like a comic-based game, based on some winning animations, along with loading in MvC3. It ain't anime.

I hate bumping threads like this but this one really caught my attention. Anyway, here's my opinion on this. Why are some of yall surprised of what today's FGC is like? I mean I like all of MvC, GG, and BB but if the american community doesn't care about GG and BB, then they don't care. You guys knew that most of the Arc System games ain't that popular in the US, so why bother worrying about it. That's why I'm kinda glad Arcs decided to go easy on the newcomers by putting in Stylish Mode, so that they can gain more fans, sales, and give them a taste of how their style is, and when they are ready to take on some challenge trails, then GO FOR IT! I did the same thing when I first played Blazblue. They need to try more harder be more noticeable like Capcom and not be afraid to advertise their games on TV. Now do I wish for other websites to cover news for ASW games, yes I do, but if they don't then who gives a damn? All that matters is what fighting games YOU love to play. My friends play Call of Duty while I play different types of games. Some of them call Blazblue "stupid and gay" but do you see me bitching about it? No! I'm not trying to be a dick here but some of yall REALLY need to let this shit go, seriously...

One thing I hate about the FGC sometimes is that they are selfish and don't think about other people (i.e. "casuals") who don't even play fighting games. I mean come on, everybody has a life. Some people don't even have time to learn a character's move and THAT'S OKAY. The only characters I main in Blazblue are Ragna, Jin, and Bang(though not too good with him) and only use stylish mode for Story, Abyss, and Unlimited Mars. I mean not gonna lie, sometimes I'm not a fan of twirling sticks and I remember my cousin broke his analog stick while trying out some of the challenges in KOFXIII. I know execution takes a huge part in fighting games and all that but come on, if there is a character that you like, hard to master, and you don't really have time to do all the learning, then I say Stylish/Beginner mode is a good choice. Hell you can also make combos by pressing different buttons with it too. When you think about developers trying to put stylish mode in their fighting games, they're thinking about the marketing techniques. I mean look at the sales of Persona 4 Arena and Marvel vs Capcom 3, they sold A LOT because of that mode. What I'm saying is that people need to calm down with that mode. Besides, it's not like any of you are gonna lose online against somebody using that mode in a drop of a hat. If anything, it's YOU who needs to learn their moves...if you lost to them once, that is.

Something tells me that guy who created that copy of Justice would be playable. And I heard an interview about Daishi talking about how I-No was doing "something else" for That Man that he was involved in during the GG2 storyline. Though GG2 had a awesome plot, it SHOULD'VE BEEN A FREAKING FIGHTER! But at the same time I understood why it wasn't. Anyway..yeah, I-No possibly confirmed.

'Sup everybody! I'm new here! Anyway, let's get down to business. Since there is Nu13 as Lambda's UF in CS, how about switching things up a bit with some characters unlimited forms, like Hazama's unlimited form could be Terumi without the hat on, or (if we ever see them) an unmasked Hakumen or Relius? So yeah...what kind of unlimited forms you wanna see?
