Thanks! Well, I found the grip I enjoy months ago. I guess it is more practice making perfect then.

Hey all, I have a little question... So, I've been using a Stick for only a little while less than a controller and I'm kind of torn between which to pick... I can move far easier on a control than a stick, since I can't move as well on the stick I feel more sluggish. Doing any 236, 214, 41236, etc etc. Is a pain for me on both and it usually comes down to something like me spamming the direction and hoping I get it off...the difference is I find it a bit easier to actually pull them off on stick where as with a controller I just high jump x-x; Suggestions/tips guys? I can see stick working for me down the line, but those two problems keep making things complicated :x

Well, if Kagura doesn't work out I'll try Hakumen. So far, I've done around 150+ matches and have won...5 I think. I've noticed a massive improvement, I actually block now, like hugely better than before. I'm quite amazed as to how much I have improved in all sorts of defensive aspects. (Except comboing lol) But on another note, getting to try Kagura in the story, he seems fun! Fluid and damaging, I'm liking him for the little I get to play him so far. Edit: After unlocking him, he seems very fun, tomorrow it'll be time to crack the threads/videos and see what combos I can learn. Practice'll make perfect after all.

Zoning didn't get me frustrated. I just felt complete terrible as everyone, no matter who I picked up. The way I play is...strange. I like to just pick up a character and feel like I know them a bit off the bat. When I started with Kanji, I learned his command grabs, went into ranked and won 30-ish matches in a row. The easy wins motivated me to learn more about him and get better as him. As I did, losing didn't bother me as much since I would analyze and grow, but I feel like I can't do that when all I can do is lose...if that makes sense. If Kagura can supply similar conditions, then I'll enjoy him just as much as Kanji, probably more so. The fact that he has flaws will help me grow even further, just as Kanji did. Thanks for all the tips so far guys, I'm really hoping Kagura will fit my strange niche though, low high or whatever. I'm feeling like he will though.

I see, I was just thinking about him too... When I picked up Kanji I enjoyed how simple his grabs were, but then soon after I began seeing how to chain them from another grab and from his normals etc etc. My skill in P4A developed with him if that makes sense. I didn't mind his flaws since I grew into dealing with them. Since Kagura gives a lot of reward for little effort...I won't mind putting a lot of effort into him to do better, if that makes sense. Well, I'll head off to unlock him thanks for the advice.

c-c; I'm requesting some assistance. So I picked Bullet up when I got the game. Enjoyed her but slowly started to dislike her flaws (and the fact I couldn't advance as her no matter how much I was playing) . I've been hopping around characters since then and sucking harder and harder. I'm fine with being bad, but its just starting to get to me. Even new players that just pick up the game are able to do more than myself. I've been trying to find a character that I have even a little bit of proficiency off the bat with (like how I did with Kanji in P4A. Right when I picked him up I started getting him down) but to no avail. Needless to say this is kind of demoralizing :p Out of the cast I've been looking at Noel, Hazama, Makoto, Izayoi, Litchi, Platinum and, kind of the Murakumo units. After dipping my feet around and having tried nearly everyone except Arakune and the locked characters these are the only ones that retain a scrap of interest. I guess I'm just asking for some guidance on what to do since at this point I feel like I've gotten worse. (Sorry for the semi-ranty feel of the post, I just feel so bleh'd)

Yeah, this right here. If its your main/sub that's fine, but other than that...comes off as douchey

BlazBits and what needs to be done to make it to happen

Well, I sent in my vote. I wish you much luck if you decide to take the project on! -
Well, gg to everyone that owned me, hard. One day, one day :P I think I only fought Necro though, but either way gg to everyone!

I just wanted to be your punching bag Necro :P

Anyone up for some matches with a punching bag? I haven't lost enough tonight, yet :P

They're pretty cheap on Amazon. Got myself a 150ft one for around 10-20 bucks. Works like a charm (no holes, so it snakes from my room to the router all the way downstairs )

I agree with this. That said, you'd definitely have my support (and money) -
Well, it can be tough, that's for sure. Personally, I'm not very great to begin with and I'm trying to get used to the Control->Fightstick transition. Really though, just set a goal and try to reach it. Then build up from there. I keep myself motivated by watching the bnb Bullet combos and knowing I'll be able to do that eventually. So, I say if you feel like you've hit a wall, set a higher goal and get towards it. Even if you have slow progress it is still progress!

I see, thanks ^^ he'll give me more specific things to do while I try to better myself for CP. Then I'll pick when I've thoroughly tried both him and Bullet. If I enjoy em' both, then...well. I'll just focus on giving Hakumen a go (and actually getting better at the game) for now.

I see, thanks. Bullet piqued my interests before too... As for Ragna/Jin, oddly enough I've always disliked them as characters. So I may just hone my skills with my fight stick and my basic movements/controls whilst waiting for CP As for control, I think I worded it wrong... I like to take careful steps and make sure I only go in when I've tricked them into a mistake or I know I can do what I need, but when I'm in I want it to matter, and just keep gaining force. For example, bait out a mistake as Kanji, then plow in and keep the pain going. Suppose you could say, I like to force mistakes and punish them, hard. If Bullet is like that, I suppose I will be waiting for a little.

Hey, was wondering if I Could get some main advice... After looking at how I play (other than poorly :P) I'm trying to pick someone that has extreme control. I've re-picked up Extend and have been messing around with Platinum quite a bit, but some things click and some things don't so far... I guess I can say how, I enjoy Kanji in P4A mainly because I can chain his grabs into grabs and keep the opponent stuck in them. I know Tager may be a good fit, but I find him so slow in comparison. If anyone can give advice on which characters supply similar control, it would be much appreciated. I'll be trying to get used to this fight stick still in the meantime.

Never really clicked with anyone in CSE, Plat caught my eye (lolis o3o!) but I didn't decide to main her until I got into Magical Girls a lot more (thank you Madoka Magica) As for P4A, Kanji was the only character I was able to win with, then I just started picking up more things as him and one thing lead to another... and boom
