  1. There's actually three TVs, and two are for Guilty.
  2. Captain's Log. Day 1742, Ruben still doesn't know that Guilty Gear is what we're playing tomorrow.
  3. I'm off at noon so we can plan for any time after that.
  4. I get out of work at noon. Guilty?
  5. AC+ until R comes out in the indefinite future
  6. Okay, if you bring your stick then it'll be fine. I'll bring the ps3.
  7. I has ps3 Guilty. We can play at PCP.
  8. There's a job opening at Rooby's House of Tricks. I hear they're looking for people to hook up play Guilty Gear with.
  9. The absence of cabbage-patch sprites is slightly off-putting. =P Those combos also last forever. Might as well take the game in this direction
  10. I'll just bring my ps2. Problem solved.
  11. We established in the past that we're all pretty terrible at basketball except for Vince and Dan. I don't really see a reason for building a top-end system from scratch aside from being able to play the shiniest newest FPS on mind-blowingly-ultra-realistic settings. I just think it's way too cost-inefficient, especially when technology moves on as fast as it does. Your top-end stuff is only going to be on top for a few months at best, and then something else is going to come along and replace it. It's much easier to just roll with a decent setup that will last for a year or two and just replace the parts that bottleneck you as you get to them.
  12. You're missing your motherboard, but yeah that sounds more realistic. That would bring the actual price down to around 1.1-1.3k which is more reasonable, but 500+ in monitors and peripherals is still a lot. The key is to gather parts during holidays and clearance sales. During last black friday, I got a 128gb SSD for 150 off newegg, 16gb of ram for 30, and another 23" LCD from frys for 100. Just because it's your money doesn't mean you shouldn't always take advantage of good deals.
  13. It's all about the colored glow-in-the-dark water cooling light shows inside custom cases.
  14. The easiest method is to test the individual connectors on your PSU with a multimeter (what I do). If you don't have one, you should instead disconnect everything from your PSU except your mobo and hard drive and then try to turn it on. If it successfully boots then shut it off and start connecting components one at a time until it fails. If it doesn't even work with minimal connections then grab another PSU from another comp and test it in your rig. If it powers on then it's obvious that at least your PSU is faulty. If there's still no response it could be a few other things (such as the ATX connector on your mobo breaking up with you, in which case you'll have to replace your motherboard). Also, 1800 for that is still pretty steep, even by last year's standards. Clearly somebody needs to experience the glory of Black Fry['s electronics]day.
  15. There's a lot of reasons why computers won't turn on, so you should be more specific. "Won't turn on" can mean a lot of things. Also is it a desktop or a laptop? Given the 1800 price tag, I'm very inclined to believe it's along the lines of an alienware laptop or a macbook. Premade desktops generally run cheaper price tags due to their... lackluster components. If it was alienware or something then I would understand completely. 1800 is still much more than I would ever spend on a desktop, though. Assuming it's a desktop, motherboard failure is indeed a possibility (but not as common). If it won't even turn on, I'd say it's pretty much safe to say that either his power supply failed/is toggled off, his power cable was damaged, or he's not getting power from his outlet. If there's actually power (if the fans start spinning) then it could be caused by a ton of other potential problems. If it's a laptop it can also be from something stupid like the battery/charger failing.
  16. For some reason I hit all my FRCs on stick.
  17. Can I use the "I don't have a pad" excuse now?
  18. I don't really care when they patch it to +R, honestly. AC is still good enough. Plus, now people won't have the "I don't have a ps2 stick on me" problem anymore. The only complaint that I have is that I'll have to relearn the game on stick now. =(
  19. Ruben let me tell you right now that Johnny won't suddenly become fun to play when +R comes out. That guy takes work. Now if only they made Jackhound free again...
