Collected winrates from Hase, En, and Tanabata. I don't think the data should be used to determine matchups but it's interesting to look at. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1eU2UuWTyhpLNtBEJWDHnFe6ye7iYWdf5lafhH-6fZuk/edit?usp=sharing Notes: Hase often plays outside of Mikado while En and Tanabata are pretty exclusive to Mikado. I think the differences in their Sol winrates says a lot (Mocchi/Mugen compared to other Sols...). If you look at the Sign 1.0+1.1 winrates (not included), they are pretty similar. Obviously, a lot of players switched characters, improved, or started playing less so there are a few notable shifts (Millia, May, Sin). Tanabata's matchup opinions don't really agree with the winrates so playerbase must have a strong influence. For example, look at Zato, Chipp, Axl, and Elphelt. Disadvantage: Zato, Johnny, Elphelt, Faust, Bedman, Axl, Ky, Sin, Venom, I-No, Jack-O Slight Disadvantage: Leo, Potemkin, May, Chipp, Millia Even: Sol, Ramlethal Advantage: Jam A few matchups have really low game counts, some barely reaching 20.

Venom is probably my most played matchup since there's 2 of them at locals You seem to IAD a lot in neutral. I think 6P and c.S make this very unsafe You use very little FD and it definitely hurts you in the corner. My approach is to FD everything then IB c.S(2) or 2D, which is generally when I see S Carcass, and jump out. If they switch to H Carcass, you can react with Long Dash for a crossup. If they delay their S Carcass, I think there are a few spacings where Long Dash will still crossup. There's a lot of moments where you're respecting balls too much and blocking instead of just jumping out. I think a lot of this requires experience since you have to pay attention to what normal the Venom used to hit their ball, but generally you shouldn't have to block charged balls in neutral if they didn't spend meter. I like to use Bite to abuse Stinger charge. If they try to c.S Throw OS on reaction, they will get Stinger if they were holding charge. Since this Venom is using FD against almost all your strings, you can probably get away with a lot of Bite. On a side note, whenever you go for Bite reset, you always end in 2K; you might be able to condition people with the 2K and go for CH 6P/Pile instead. When he doesn't have meter for Stinger YRC, I think you could try being more aggressive with Dandy Steps. Sometimes he might react with 2S but Venom gets nothing afterwards so abuse the imbalanced reward of CH P Pile. You really need to AA with 2S or air throw. In Xrd, 2S destroys all of Venom's non-ball air options. Also, your random c.S/5P AA confirms need work. You overuse 5K, 2K, and Mappa in your blockstrings and get pushed really easily. Think about it this way: if you're just going to backdash after blocked Mappa, why cancel into Mappa in the first place? Against characters with no reversals like Venom, I really like c.S f.S > walk to stay in range. I would work on air hit 6H K Pile confirms. You lose a lot of damage by going for P Pile RRC. On Venom, you might be able to do 6H delay P Cross 6H K Pile if you're close enough?

Been trying a few counters for the past month against Instant Block punishes on c.S > f.S c.S > 6P gatling is really strong. Spaced correctly, it will CH most whiffed Throws and be + on block. The window to poke out without losing to 6P is really small. In the corner, it will catch almost every backdash and beat backdash YRC since there is a 7 frame gap before 6P finishes startup and backdash invuln will run out by then. It does get caught by Blitz but you can stop that with c.S > P Dandy or 6P YRC. Against DPs, low profile, or upper body invul, you have c.S > P Mappa, which is a tight string. P Mappa will still lose if their punish is frame perfect but it's definitely worth trying if they reversal your f.S everytime. Oddly enough, c.S > nothing is also pretty strong since it seems people try to react to f.S startup. You are -7 so you can immediately go for Throw or wait for a backdash/DP. I still don't know what to do about Potemkin but it doesn't seem like he can backdash Pot Buster after c.S > (IB Backdash) P Mappa > c.S

Walk back a little off 2D/j.D or space your forward movement after Pilebunker. It does depend on their throw range though. IMO it's really good off j.D when the camera has to move down and they can't immediately see the ground. If you have a long knockdown, you can do Long Dash to bait Throw OS and 6P their f.S (for characters that use 6S+H anyway) It might be my imagination but I think sometimes Throwing with only H has more range than Throw OS.
-
You space the 6P to beat wakeup Throw OS, which people love to use against UP > 2K or UP > delayed IL. Just be aware that characters with faster wakeup can poke out with 2K or some other fast low.

K Dandy It's Late > cS fS > 5K 2D SO AX LE After knockdown only? - FA (alternate route: IL 2PSD) Might be possible to do cS fS > 2KD on Chipp and others with 1 frame walk but lol K Dandy It's Late > 2PSH > 5K > delay jK2K > jD2K > jS > djSHD KY 181 Damage, 25% Tension > jK2K > jD > djKD SI 181 Damage, 25% Tension > jK2K > jD > djKSHD FA 204 Damage 25% Tension > jK2K > jK > djKD PO 158 Damage, 25% Tension > delay jK2K > jK > djKD BE 158 Damage, 25% Tension VE no followup? Both routes work if Under Pressure is blocked (not FD), hits, or whiffs. Need to immediately cancel Under Pressure into It's Late. Still combos if the opponent uses FD against the move you special cancel into K Dandy, such as 5H K Dandy. Corner 6P (on grounded opponent) cS fS > jSHD > djPSHD2K > jPD SI 198, ZA 207, MA 200, CH 242 > jSHD > djPSHD delay 2K > jPD IN 200, RA 200, FA 194 > jSH short delay D > djPSHD2K > jPD SL 180 > jSH long delay D > djPSHD delay 2K > jPD MI 226, AX 200 > jSHD > djKSHD delay 2K > jPD FA 200 > jSH delay D > djKSHD2K > jPD AX 206, SI 204, CH 247 > jSH long delay D > djKSHD delay 2K > jPD ZA 214, KY 201, MA 206, IN 206 > jSHD > djKSHD long delay 2K > jPD RA 206 > jSH short delay D2K > jK > djSH delay D2K > jPD VE 198 > cS > jSHD > djKSHD short delay 2K > jPD LE 202 > cS > jSHD > djKSHD2K > jPD BE, PO 182 > jSHD2K > jKD > cS fS > jSHD MI 229 > jK > djSHD2K > jKD SO 179 These combos are just guidelines since you rarely get normal hit 6P on a grounded opponent. I need a better combo for Sol and Elphelt. I think you can do jD djP on Sol but it's definitely not a standard route.
-
You can beat 6H by using FD on the first hit then IB on the second hit. This is all I'm going to say, you can figure out the rest.
-
Figured out 5H j2K jK djSHD on EL VE ZA, you have to delay the jK jump cancel. It looks like you are falling before the double jump. Not sure how you even get 5H j2K on Faust though.

Last night I was playing offline at casuals. When I turned off V-sync, the menu and in-game FPS stayed up to ~200. Interestingly, this also made the pre-game loading go by faster, but I turned V-sync back on so my computer wouldn't explode. The memory leak continues to be really annoying...

Finished most of the Sol combos on Evernote K Dandy IL > cS fS > 5K 2D Sol
-
The limiting factor seems to be pushback from It's Late. In my 5 minutes of testing, trying to extend with j.2K pushes you too far for j.PD or j.2K even whiffs.

(Crouching) Corner K Dandy It's Late > 2PSH > 5K > delay jK2K > jD2K > jS > djSHD Ky > jK2K > jD Sin > jSH delay D Potemkin, Faust > delay jK2K > jK > djKD Bedman > jK2K > jD > djSHD or djKSHD Faust Only checked the usual wide crouchers. Interesting route though K Dandy on oki is risky. P.S. I forgot to check if you have to whiff UP or not. I think 2S doesn't combo/hit if IL hits meaty.

Anyone know if the DS4 connects to computers through the USB wire or through Bluetooth? There were some noticeable lag spikes when playing offline with 2 DS4s.

I don't remember what Windows 7 is like but check Control Panel -> Display or Appearance and Personalization. Or check Program Files for any Nvidia Folders. On my Windows 10 laptop it's NVIDIA Corporation -> Control Panel Client -> nvcplui.exe Though I seem to vaguely remember a bug where the panel wouldn't start or appear in the drop down menu on my old Windows Vista laptop.

Computer A is very similar to mine, I suggest checking your Nvidia Control Panel settings as I can pull 60 FPS no problem even with other programs running. Make sure you have your Nvidia card as the preferred graphics professor instead of integrated graphics.

If you IAD backwards most of the time, you aren't gonna have much tension for Stinger YRC or FD, which are pretty crucial to stopping Slayer's offense. Eventually, Slayer will have enough tension to just DOT your jH on reaction for a knockdown. I think a decent opener for Venom is dash 2D since it beats Dandy Step, sometimes 5K, and is difficult for even jH to reach.

Tried streaming some netplay on 5 GHz wireless (lol) 35 down / 5 up. Streaming at 1080p and 60 FPS, I was still able to get 2F with someone in the same region. Other 4F matches seemed a lot smoother than 4F on PS4. Check the last half of this broadcast if you want a look: http://www.twitch.tv/daymendou/v/29519246 Game crashed once when I did Leo's backturn Super online then worked fine after I turned off V-sync. Played for an hour and got 1 instance of slowdown, which went away after I unplugged and replugged in my pad. With Quality Priority, FXAA, and Post Effects on, CPU peaked at 83-92 degrees C, GPU peaked at 76 degrees C. Overall, feeling very pleased with the port. Should be excellent as an offline setup and become better for online after patches.

So my DS4 only seems to work if I connect it then start XRD. Can anyone confirm this? Hope I don't have to restart everytime when there's a 3+ player rotation Also switching "Post-Effect" from On to Off to On seems to keep it Off unless you restart Edit: I think I switched to Processing Priority by accident, switching Post-Effect seems to be fine

@Nyaa Oh you meant between menus. Yeah it's like that for me too, nice little boost from console. I'll be trying it offline this Saturday, though there's a supposed memory leak.

Lack of loading times? How long does it take for you to load a match offline? My laptop has a 5400 RPM SATA drive, so it'd be nice if upgrading to a SSD would cut loading times.

http://imgur.com/a/WHZtK Just my overview of Xrd for Steam. My laptop has an i7 6700HQ and GTX 960M, which I guess is pretty strong. Input lag and game speed seems the same as PS3/PS4, no problems running 60 FPS fullscreen with max in-game settings. I can also record a stable 60 FPS with OBS. Price: $29.99 US (currently $24 for Xrd AND all DLC voices, colors, and characters) File size: Steam says 10295 MB, so about 10 GB Display At max settings, PC Xrd arguably looks even better than PS4 version. https://youtu.be/yrYH_nyahnw http://i.imgur.com/r7k1Zi0.jpg You can set Quality/Processing Priority like PS3 and also V-Sync and Anti-Aliasing (FXAA, MLAA, SMAA). Interestingly, you can also toggle Post-Effects, which definitely changes the look of some things. http://i.imgur.com/gX8wuUi.jpg Resolutions: My monitor is native 1920x1080. I can select 640x360, 800x450, 1280x720, 1366x766, 1920x1080, and Fullscreen (also 1920x1080 for me). I can't seem to screencap in Fullscreen though, it always shows up as a blackscreen. Here's Central Organ Tower on 1280x720, Processing Priority, Post-Effects off. Looks similar to PS3. http://i.imgur.com/x4PUo6v.jpg You can enable an FPS display, which is shown above the round timer. The menu textures look kinda ugly. The game doesn't hide your mouse pointer, there's probably some setting that can though. Loading Times No noticeable difference from console. Loading screens and pre-match loading are just as long. Selecting Rematch still requires loading Controls Dualshock 4 works just fine. Seems like most people have no issues with their sticks. In game buttons use icons of keyboard keys and Xbox buttons instead of PS4 buttons. Uses Circle to confirm and X to cancel, like Japanese console. Mapping buttons is a bit different. You have to press Circle to select a button to change then press the button you want to map to, so twice as many inputs. Probably going to be annoying when rotating players. http://i.imgur.com/dYkSzoD.jpg You can't save Custom profiles, which kinda sucks. The Default layout (Pad layout) seems to have the bumpers and triggers swapped, this might get fixed later. Network No crossplay with PS3/PS4. Netplay does not use Region/Districts, you can only choose Ranked/Player Match. http://i.imgur.com/hfeG7RD.jpg You select Character+Stage+BGM like console. Player Match search seems to be the same. You can also filter by Number of Rounds, which I don't remember seeing on console. I can't figure out how to invite friends. Selecting "Friend Invitation" in the Player room menu doesn't seem to do anything. I get bad FPS in Player room for some reason. Around 45-55 FPS compared to 60 FPS in every other menu. PS3/PS4 cannot connect to 5 GHZ wireless networks, so there might be some benefits here if you have to play on wireless. Will be testing connection later. DLC Leo and Elphelt are indeed available for purchase with $W from the gallery but I don't have the prices since they were included for free this week. http://i.imgur.com/mxsnv0a.jpg All colors are in, including the DLC color packs (7-12), Christmas (13), and PS+ (14). http://i.imgur.com/oD4oogS.png Announcer Packs sound fine. Vocal Collection and "Wanna Be Crazy" can be found in the Xrd folder in your Steam folder (Program Files/Steam/steamapps/Common) as 192 kbps mp3s. You can also navigate here by going to Xrd Properties then Steam > Local Files > Browse Local Files. Wanna Be Crazy is 4:23 long. Language English/Japanese voices can be toggled, like console. Menu language can be set to English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese. The game will need to restart before changes take effect.

Nice finds Fogelstrom, guess the last thing we should check is Footloose relaunch in corner. Something like c.S > j.D2K (j.2K recovery) > Footloose > c.S > j.SHD I don't remember why I made that 6P combo but it was in my notes. The standard j.SHD2K route works just fine
