Perfect setup would be a room of 4 players (well multiple rooms of 4 players). Then what I do is after 1 hour OR 10 matches total for the room, you do a rotation. You'll have the current ranks of every player after the first 1 hr or 10 matches, then reorganize the rooms based on who ranks with each other. That way people are playing players of their "relative skill" at all times, and at the same time getting to play more people. The absolute minimum is 3 players to a room. Obviously you can do 5-6 players per room, but it'll just be a longer wait between matches for them. If you need me to explain more or how I handle everything in general, let me know.
