Could, but so can a mini double elimination tournament. It takes a responsible person to run it so it finishes. Usually a more known player that happens to be in it. Also, it doesn't matter if it doesn't finish in a timely fashion because pools for big tournaments aren't on the same day as the actual tournament. On Twitter, everyone's talking about their Evo pools and I noticed that they were bracket pools. I said my piece there, and I felt like extending the conversation here. Just concrete sword 'em.

Yo, Woz, imma need that twitter info. I see that hashtag. Edit: How do you all feel about chipspools? Every pools I've been in and run have been round robin. For Final Round and Evo pools are brackets. Little mini tournaments. Pools are used to determine who belongs in the real bracket from a skill perception. Players go to tournaments to play matches, not possibly go 0-2 or get randomed out. Additionally everyone knows double elimination brackets aren't particularly accurate, either. Round Robin facilitates both of these desires by using win/loss ratios to find the consistent best player(s) and seed them and people that were going to get knocked out got the chance to play lots of matches with something at stake, including the chance to play against a top player, if there is one in the pool without instantly being killed and having your trip ended by him/her. Round Robin should be used in pools. It's more fair, more fun, just better. It doesn't even take longer. Get a responsible person to lead the pool and move things along and they get done quick, honestly. I mean... Unless people are itching to spend hundreds of dollars to go zero and two, then never find a casual setup.

Especially in a Samurai Kirby setting. @Kyo Damage: If you're not exaggerating, Kyo cannot get 500 plus on any hitconfirm. He can obtain that damage, yes, but it's going to be off of j.2C which is one of the most telegraphed moves in the game. It also EATS UP his meter, so if he does do a drive cancel Ex Orochinagi from spin kicks combo, or Hd, it isn't like he's going to do it again unless you specifically let him. Kyo's terrifying, but he's not a reason to put down a game.

O'Charley's post Star, if you think KOF got low entrants because of whatever you think in your crazy head is wrong with it, you're dumb. Just. That's it. That's all. The entire tournament got low turnouts. Sf, KOF, marvel, soul cal.... Everything. It's because the tournament got practically no exposure. No sticky until like... Three days before. No front page on SRK until like... Day of and even then it's in between some bs fanart gallery and Funny Moments. NO exposure. TWO people for Super Turbo. Maybe... 19? For MK. All of us TO's at MWC are furious that SRK basically ignored the tournament.
