To mainstream gamers Guilty Gear is a fairly obscure game, and Arcana Heart is a fairly obscure game to most US fighting game players. . .so Any new loketest footage/character info/general news?

  3. Lol @ this thread I hate to admit it, but I actually own a copy of this game. I tried getting a group of friends into competitive Sf (Shaq-fu) once, but in the end we chose competitive Mario Party instead.

  5. I'm guessing this is the height of optimism for CS Rachel Not to whine but I'm failing to see some of the logic in certain character changes, but then again it could just be my western eyes. I'll give it a few weeks to see if she's really THAT bad.
  6. Arcana Heart 2 didn't even get ported to console in the US, there was only some kind of arcade release. I'll be shocked (in a good way) if AH3 makes it over here.
  7. A lot of cool cosplay in this thread Does anyone else think that the Taokaka cosplayer should try black fabric on the inside of the hood? I think it'd help with the "shade" effect.

  10. dj j.2c after air filler occasionally doesn't work for me. Seems like a height issue most of the time, but I'm not 100% sure. 6632 for that setup is a good idea, helps a lot with consistency!
  11. 214a dash 623c6a is what I've found to be the most consistent (for me anyway). Use the dash's 6 and input the 3c as you would a c Shoryuken. This helps avoid Elec Chair, c Lobelia and Sword Iris. As soon as the 3c hits immediately continue the movement to 6a and it should come out fine. I think this only works if you do a 1 hit 3c because of the small window of time you have for all the inputs to register that way.
  12. The return to neutral works, I tried using this method before but I guess I was inputting the 236a too soon after the 3c (one hit). Waiting for the 3c to hit twice usually gives enough time for it to come out correctly, thanks. 23c6a works also but risky if you input the c too early (elec. chair) or too late (c Lobelia). I've been playing around with 5b 5cdc 236b dash 6a 22a -> sj air combo to get around the 2 consecutive double taps that you need to do normally. It does better damage but I think it might be dependent on how close they are after the 5cdc 236b.

I've been doing a less effective variation of this combo [5b (6b) 5cdc 214a dash 3c (2-3 hits) (frog hits) 236a1d 22a 6c j.c] and have been having trouble with the highlighted input now that I'm switching over. Seems like that part of the combo is pretty tight, and when I input the 3c->236a I get a Sword Iris instead. The only solution I've found is to input slow 23c6a, but was wondering if there was another way people use.

  15. Usually I pick based on looks, but this time I started with Rachel because I learned the basics from a very good player at an arcade. I started playing Tao because I like her playstyle and character. I hate Carl, but after playing him as a joke with my friend I realized how amazing and fun Nirvana is (still hate Carl though).
  16. Hey Dustloop. I'm having a pretty hard time with this matchup so I was hoping that some veterans here could give me some tips. The main problem I'm having is escaping his pressure and landing pokes (6B especially). Seems like whenever I go to punish his attacks I'm either out-ranged or my pokes won't come out fast enough (on disadvantage), which causes me to eat another long combo. I can put him close to death after about 2 combos but the problem is starting them. What's safe to use against Ragna? I can keep him at range and zone him for a bit but once he gets close the only thing I can think to do is j.214B->(2C)2D in attempt to slow him down. Another huge annoyance/problem I have is fighting Ragna while he's in Blood Kain. His corner shenanigan 6C->(D->66)x2->214214D is ridiculous lol (burst or die if it catches you). I can't understand how this matchup is 6-4. . . Please teach me!
