STOP MASHING, think about what move you're doing, and whether or not it's safe/likely to get punished. Learn what Charge Cancelling is, and abuse the fuck out of it. Learn to tick throw. Use your charge on more useful things. Learn Tsubaki Install combos, a lot of them are very viable and that's the only way you're going to get damage. Use 3C more. Use 2C more. Learn your 2C CH combo. Don't waste charge on normals, the only really useful one (outside of combos) is the 236D crossup. Grab more.
